Be carefully when booking. Make sure you pay as they held my full amount on credit card in order to pay at the end and be able to deduct “extras” No information about petrol station situation in Palermo airport. They just want your money!!! Customer service poor.

More often than not have found to have bad experiences overall when hiring cars abroad. This is mainly due to staff attitude .
We hired a car for 4 days from Europecar ,Morphou St,Paphos.
Booked & paid online via booking .com & bought the collision waiver insurance.
Can't fault the service from staff on collection & dropping off.
No pushy sales, & really friendly & helpful.
Would recommend after my experience ,& definitely be my first choice .

I am currently hiring a car in cyprus through europcar. We paid £66 for an infants car seat. Our baby is 8 months old. After arriving at 2am at airport they had one person on the desk. She organised the car quickly but we had to wait in the car park for 40 mins for her to find us a car seat. At which point they had no isofix seats for 8 month year olds. And gave us an illegal chair that is very cheap and not safe. We had no choice but to accept as we would then be stuck at the airport. She told me a complaint would be raised and they would be in contact the next day. So far today I have heard nothing. Car is great but we cant drive anywhere as we have an illegal car seat not fit for purpose. I now have to probably spend a day of my holiday sorting this out due to their incompetence. Do not trust europcar to provide you with a safe baby seat. They just don't care!

Big shout-out to Stan and Alex of Paphos Cyprus city branch . Unbelievably smooth and easy with no extra cost "transferred" my collect and return rental car from airport to this branch , because just 10 minutes walk from my accommodation, save me at least 20 minutes to and from the airport and taxi money. It's flexible policies really serve the customers and they know how to provide good service . I hope all the branches learn from this branch what is customer service . Smooth, quick and no fuzzy questions

Very disappointing. Pre booked premium package only to find the Paphos office wanted to charge an extra €56 for breakdown assistance ! I can get a full year for that on the UK. Basically the car you have paid for breaks down and you have to pay. A joke. Walked away. Went to SIXT cheaper and all included. Rang customer services and emailed a complaint. We were correct being ripped off our rate included breakdown service. AVOID

Poor standard of vehicle.
Kia Rio, 102km, extremely worn and noisy suspension, headlights were excessively hazy, constant airbag/seat belt fault illuminating. I would not have expected Europcar to hire out such a shabby vehicle. Would definitely not pass a UK MOT.

The best car rental experience so far. Liza at the airport pick up desk was super friendly, spent her time to explain everything to us and could answer to every questions we had.
Previously with different companies we had struggles and never really received a good customer service.
Not only Liza was lovely, but the gentlemen at the car park as well.
Thank you both, and we will definitely book again with.

We had hired a car at Larnaca airport, we were given the option of an upgrade, which we took had a lovely mercedes A class which was a delight to drive. Barbara on the desk was so helpful and polite, and so where the staff when we dropped the car back. Wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Asked for a automatic car to be reserved and as promised it was there waiting for me when we arrived at the airport. The car was a fairly new Kia Ceed which didn't disappoint it preformed well and was so similar to my own car more or less all the controls were in the same place it has the same features as my car and staff at the airport couldn't have been more helpful

We booked on the app to collect from Larnaca Airport, the price on the app was €103, when we got to the kiosk we told we had to pay for full insurance on top of the amount on the app. Had to pay €222 before we got the keys.

Car was badly maintained, clutch was basically shot and the breaks were barely working.

Absolute disgrace - I'm embarrassed to say I used Europcar.

Used Europcar Cyprus rental feb 24. Car is outright dangerous, approx 10 years old. Breaks not even on both sides, broken bumper, broken rear passenger side door, parking sensors don't work, electric windows get stuck every so often. Indicators have no sound so you have to visually check whether it is on or off.
On top of this company has loads of hidden charges that they don't advertise, I booked the car for 5 days for 300 euros and ended up paying 200 more in hidden charges.

The experiance at the counter of Europcar Larnaca airport was excellent. On the return staff at the parking was efficient and fast. Car in perfect condition. Thank you Europcar!

Hired a car from Europcar Cyprus for 5th-15th October and was surprised to be charged an additional 100 euros (10 euros per day because I was 72 years old. I challenged this charge at the time and was told that it was the law in Cyprus for drivers over the age of 70 to pay an additional charge if over theage of 70. This is not made clear when booking a vehicle and is not detailed in the 'driver eligibility' section of their T&C's where it clearly states the following: All drivers must be over 25 years of age and have held a full driving license for at least 1 year. Drivers aged between 21 and 25 years old to drive a rental car PROVIDED that they have held a full driving license for a minimum of 3 years. Such drivers are required to pay an additional charge of €10.00 per rental day. Maximum driving age is generally 78 years old. Such drivers are required to pay an additional charge of €10.00 per rental day.
This is the section that should also quote the additional charge if a hirer is aged 70 or over and should not be buried somewhere else within their T&C's.
