never again

never again - don't waste your money
after 2 horror trips with laurel premium class ticket where electrical sockets did not work, seats would not go to sleep position, wake up service was forgotten, cold coffee was served and I did not get my connecting flight - while coach class passengers were fast tracked to their (and my) original destination - and made it no probs whilst I had an extra drive of 200 km added to my schedule thanks to this professional premium service. ... my complaint was rejected on the grounds that I was lying and EVA staff was telling the truth

EVA AIR from London Heathrow rubbish service

EVA AIR from London Heathrow @9.35pm flight is always late, tonight it didn’t take off until 11.05 pm. What a rubbish company. Why the hell can’t they just stick to the schedule. Sat in the plane for over an hour and a half tonight with no justifiable explanation from the crew.

Very bad experience with Eva Airways!

For how many years I travelled, this was my very first time I missed my flight because of an airline misinformation. This is also my first time flight experience with Eva air. Their staff informed us to pick up our luggage’s in our final destination -Ottawa. We asked and confirmed many times with Eva air staff where do we need to pick up the luggage’s so we will not be delayed in our connecting flights- they all answered in Ottawa. We arrived in Toronto airport at 9:30pm and was in the boarding gate at 10:30pm. While we were waiting for our final flight to Ottawa around 11:35pm in the boarding gate, I received a text message to pick up our luggage’s in the baggage counter because Air Canada will not transfer it. Boarding time is at 11:50pm. We were running everywhere to get our luggage’s until we missed our flight. After all the hassles and delays, Eva air rebooked our flight at 10pm next day (12 hours layover)because all Flights were fully booked. They didnt even give us the accomodation and food for the delay in the airport due to their mistakes. Another problem with this airline is that they don’t even have 24 hours customer service and they’re just available if they have flights on that day which means they will be available only for few hours a day in the evening. Another disappointment is that, I called their main office in Taiwan, a long distance call from Toronto to Taiwan to express my concerns about the accomodation but they just don’t care and said “ we cannot do something about it and I’m sorry. Please call Canada Eva air office.” And they don’t have any office available in Canada. This is not acceptable. This is one of the bad airlines I ever experienced and a worst customer service. Worst airline

It is the worst airline ever!! My luggage was damaged via flying with Eva Air from Taiwan to Amsterdam. My luggage was poorly damaged. I reported at the luggage damage counter at the airport right the way and contacted with Eva Air via email. I had been sending multiple emails and made several phone calls. I didn’t have any respond from them. Until a month later, they asked over and over again of my damaged report number and photos. Finally, the their repair company contacted me after almost 1.5 months later. I’m still waiting for their respond how to compensate of my damaged luggage.

Shockingly poor service

Shockingly poor service. Confirmed e-ticket doesn't show up after logging in to account, calling customer service just tells you that no one is available and hangs up. Not even the courtesy of putting you on hold for next available agent. The online help is just as useless. Never again, Eva!

Me & my wife,together with my sister-in-law,had a scheduled flight from Toronto to the Philippines on June 1st at 1:15 a.m.,but it was delayed for just 5 min.We can stand with that but the only worst problem was,when we arrived at our destination,the Philippines,we were informed that our 6 checked in luggages were left behind in Toronto,together with other passengers,from Toronto.What upsets us is that,we have a flight going to Thailand on Monday,couple of days upon arrival,and we end up buying another luggages and clothings and other things we need for the next trip.By the time they delivered our delayed luggages,we were already at the airport going to Thailand.Now,when we came back here in Toronto,we end up charged with an extra luggage,that costs us CAN$297.00.with all
the upsets & disappointing they have caused,they still charged us with extra money.How would you be able to book again with this Airline.

Pesticide spraying caught me off track

Would have been a 4 star but was unexpectedly sprayed with a pesticide while sat inside the cabin during a flight from Bangkok to Heathrow. This experience was horrible, having to hold my cardigan up to my mouth for at least ten minutes while the spray dissipated. I'm surprised nobody had a bad reaction. Other than that, the flight was good. The meals were edible and the cabin crews worked very hard to ensure everyone was looked after. Sat in economy, the seats had just enough space to be acceptable for someone 6ft1 tall. The inflight entertainment was ok but not the best I've seen. Overall a pleasant experience but would have been better if we knew to expect the horrible pesticide spraying.

Can I give it no stars! Stay Away

Can I give it no stars? F this airline. Been traveling for 40 years and this is the worst! I've notice them trying to over charge you when you have them change a flight. Website won't allow you to change if you pay extra for seat assignments. It's like the agents get a kick back if they over charge. I tell them its showing on their own site much cheaper and my already paid fee more than covers the cost. I understand the $100 change but "price" difference is not calculating correctly according to their site.

Their call center typically says "we are busy" call back another time and hangs up. Sometimes it forwards to along and than it beeps and hangs up. If your luckily, it allows you to hold for about 40 to 60 minutes before talking to those agents that tries to over charge you.

WORST AIRLINES EVER!!!! Do not buy the promo ticket. It is just scammed. I booked eva air from jakarta to haneda japan. Transit throught taoyuen taiwan. Me and my family already have the online visa approved by taiwan government. At check in counter. 2 hours before departure. Eva air crew told us that our visa is not valid. My husband told him that we will buy ticket from taoyuen to japan narita on the spot. So we dont want our ticket to be refunded. But all the check in crew forced us to make refund. And we have to buy again ticket from jakarta to japan for usd 5,000. Stupid crew ever. They made the mistake by forcing us doing that. They just should told us to buy agaun ticket from taoyuen to narita. Which is only cost us usd 1,000 because it is near from taiwan to japan. EVA AIR ALSO CHARGE ME USD 1,000 FROM THE REFUND. WHAT A SCAM COMPANY. I WANT THEIR EXPLANATION WHY I COULD NOT BUY THE TICKET. BUT THEY NEVER EVER SHOWN UP WITH THAT EXPLANATION. STUPID CREW AND STUPID AIRLINES.

Miserable Flight and Customer Service

I paid $200 for extra legroom and ended up wedged in behind a lifejacket storage box. I spent at least 6 hours trying (as a matter of principle) trying to reach customer service for a refund. When I emailed the airline they responded saying they were sorry the seat didn't meat my expectations (implying that I was unreasonable for me to expect the legroom that I had paid for). My advice is to avoid this airline like the plague because, if you have a problem, you can forget about getting any kind of customer service. 99 % they won't even pick up the phone and, if they do you will be on hold for at least an hour and, if you do finally speak to someone you will get an attitude if you display the slightest annoyance with their service.

Non existent costumer service

Booked flight from IAH Houston to Bali, Indonesia for 3/29/23 flight. The flight was a great experience. However after I had made the booking in Feb 2023, I tried calling customer service for help with my existing booking, but they don't seem to exist. The number you call just cuts the call on its own, stating that all service reps are busy. I have never seen an airline with no phone service! If you do make a booking with this airline, make sure it's a confirmed trip and you would not need any changes.

I have been calling them for 8 days…

I have been calling them for 8 days because their website will show my records and I do not want to get stuck half way around the world not knowing if I have my flight the rest of the way.
I have called every single north american and canadian number. I wish chase would let me switch my tickets screw these people they are the worst support ever. definetly a 3rd world airline.

Good luck with the cheapo airline. No service at all. I tried to cancel my flight. I called all their offices, Taiwan, LA, Seattle, NY, it is just a robot system and get you to no where. Market leadingly poor customer service

Really poor customer service.
I booked through an agent, wrote my common short name instead of my full name on my booking. I tried to amend the name (happy to pay any amendment fee) but neither the agent nor the airline would allow me to and both tried to make me book a new ticket. In the end I had to buy a additional seat on the same flight for 100% increase in price. All because they wouldn't allow me to make an amendment to my ticket. After travel I tried to get in touch with customer services to explain in the hope of getting some refund back (as I bought x2 tickets for one flight) but I was treated very rudely and impatiently with no help, sympathy or solutions.
The inflight experience was fine - hence 2 stars - otherwise would be a 1.
Will never book with them again

Stay away from this airline, worst customer service.

Stay away from this airline. They have no customer service. My confirmation ticket says that I have one free checked luggage allowance and even after showing them proof of it, they refuse to check my luggage for free. They ask me to pay $140 USD for my check-in luggage from Japan to Taiwan. They did not care, not tried to accommodate nor contact FlightHub who was allowed to sale their ticket to me. They wanted me to deal with them to update their system! Very poor client service. I will never use them.

Eva Air Quality on Decline

It's a shame that everything outside the in flight service is so poor as of late. Eva Air used to be my go to airline for travel to Asia but can't say I recommend them to anyone now. Love their plane staff but everything outside that has diminished tremendously in quality.

They rebooked my international flight 5 days before departure for a rule change in the taipei airport and took no responsibility for the incurred expenses as a result. It was also unclear why they didn't give us notice as this new rule had already been in place a week before informing me. Their US numbers are virtually impossible to reach (you might be successful on try 11 after holding for an hour). Depending where you fly they don't give any priority boarding for those traveling with ambulatory senior citizens or infants. The only recourse provided to try and file a complaint is via their website, which generates an email that they subsequently never respond to. I had wondered why I saw so many negative reviews for this airline when I always had good past experiences. Now I can see what people are talking about experiencing it first hand myself.
