A new member's view

I recently became a member of the Fareham Everyone Active Leisure Centre. The induction was very good and helpful and gave me a good grounding as to the various activities that are available there. The staff are so helpful and the centre is very clean. There are many classes to choose from. There is a swimming pool, a gym and a lovely cafe. There is also a large sports hall but unfortunately at the moment there isn't an over 65's 5 a side facility available but I am hopeful that will change. The Padel4all is alongside the centre and there is plenty of free parking. Add this to the lovely location within the Park Lane Recreation Area and there is plenty of choice for 'everyone to get active'!!

My wife and I play pickle on Tuesday…

My wife and I play pickle on Tuesday evenings, this particular evening (06/10/26) there was a body pump class on the opposite side of the curtain which started 5 minute's after we started, the music was extremly loud (85db measured on phone) we literally could not communicate across the court, other people playing pickle and badminton complained about the same issue, I went to reception and informed them of the problem, the noise (music and shouting) continued for another 40 minutes, the noise was reduced to 82db but was still way to loud. At the end of our session we (and others on the courts) complained to reception and aked for our money back or a session the following week free, the receptionist was appolagetic and said she had no authority to do that, she then called the manager, he stated it was only for that week? we asked what he could do, he stated he would have to inform his manager tommorrow? he basically could not be bothered and was quite rude, we said dont you want our names? and he gave us a peice of paper and said put them on there, to say he was unhelpfull is an understatement, we asked him if he had done a risk assessment regarding noise levels? he said nothing and just stared at us. On Wednesday I phoned the leasure centre, the receptionist, she knew nothing about it but would ask the manager, she put me on hold, she came back and said he was not available? but she took my phone number (member of gym and golf) and said someone will contact you tommorrow (Thursday) surprise surprise no phone call.Since taking over everyone actives APP has not worked in regards to booking courts, and the comminication is poor we pay good money to go to the gym and to play golf so we expect a decent level of service! refund or a free court booking would be suitable appoligy and send your manager to a "how to handle customers course".

Above and beyond

A huge thank you to the team, and in particular lifeguard Chris, for being so friendly, accommodating, and helpful. I recently visited with my daughter-in-law—who currently has a fractured leg—to take her 11-month-old for a swim. The staff showed total understanding and flexibility to ensure our visit was safe, smooth, and enjoyable. Outstanding customer service!

Great classes & a friendly centre

I've had lots of positive interactions at the Watford Central Everyone Active 'Club' this week, both with staff & other patrons.

As a complete newbie I had to be shown how to get in by scanning the QR code on the gate. Very straightforward - worked a dream next time.

Each member of staff I interacted with was patient & informative. Shout-out to Dan who took time to answer my many queries!

The facilities are well signposted, clean & airy. I've now done a class in both Studio 1 and the Wellness Studio - both well stocked with mats, blocks and even balls. The classes were both GREAT with excellent - and very different - teachers for each.

I'm looking forward to trying out everything else in the coming days/weeks - from pool to sauna, more classes to the gym. Can't wait!

Bracknell Leisure Centre

Bracknell Leisure Centre - I only use the Aquafit Classes but there is always a scramble to book. There are several members who only use these classes, hence if you don't book at 10pm on the dot, you don't have any chance. Unfortunately, as a result, the app continually crashes. BLC makes excuses, says it's being sorted but the repairs don't last long. With all the money customers are paying, the company should buy better software. Anyone would think the current software was provided by Fujitsu.

Nice pool

Nice pool. Temperature of water is correct. So many lanes for swimmers with different standards. It’s never busy and outside mornings and evenings it’s virtually one or two people per lane. Toilets, showers changing rooms and pool are is nice and clean. Different filtration system. my wife does not smell chlorine on me.{ my comparison are made with other pools that I have been to}

Unbelievable and disgusting.

I joined Graves Health and Sports Centre in Sheffield last month but cancelled almost immediately due to awful customer service and the fear of being locked into a contract.

After raising a formal complaint, the Deputy Manager arranged a meeting that went well. Based on that discussion, I decided to give them another chance and decided to return. The Deputy Manager explicitly instructed the Sales Manager to look into reinstating my cancelled membership. That is where the competence ended.

Instead of supporting a returned customer, the Sales Manager completely ignored my friend and I whilst we were sat waiting for him for 20 minutes not knowing what was happening, meanwhile, he began serving other customers who had arrived after us. Whilst there was a member of staff sat on reception doing nothing.

When we finally approached the Sales Manager, he said he didn't know we was waiting and promised to contact me once he'd looked into my membership for me. It has now been one full week with ZERO communication, and my membership still remains completely inactive.

I have since escalated this to the Managing Director who supposedly passed it onto the relevant manager, yet I am still being left in limbo with absolutely no resolution. Both the Deputy Manager and the Managing Director are fully aware I have a disability and type 2 diabetes, leaving a customer with chronic health conditions in a state of stressful, unprofessional silent treatment is completely unacceptable.

If this matter is not resolved and I do not get my membership reinstated soon then I will be taking my case directly to the Sheffield City Council, and I will escalate it even further through regulatory channels if necessary.

Appalling takeover at Graves - data wiped and complaints ignored

Since Everyone Active took over Graves Health and Sports Centre on 1st September, the management and communication have been a disaster.

Under the old system, my child was 3/4 way through his current level. Following the takeover, his data was completely wiped and transferred to the beginning. I understand that there are different scoring systems and spoke to the swim manager about this at the start of September. I was promised this would be dealt with over the next few weeks but that hasn’t happened. My child is deeply upset. He shouldn’t have to be reassess for skills he has already passed, and we shouldn’t be paying full price for this broken service.

While the swimming teachers themselves are fantastic, the customer service is non-existent. The formal complaint I logged on 24th September still hasn’t been acknowledged, let alone resolved.

Useless company

Useless company - a certain regional contract manager is disrespectful, overly demanding and does nothing but lie.

Avoid this place.

I cancelled my membership in May

I cancelled my membership in May, due to health issues before the 2 week cool-off period. Communication has been poor. Over 2 weeks ago I sent them the original emails as they requested and still I have had no reply. I think they are hoping I will forget, but as I am not working at present money is very tight. I cant comment on the gym itself as I never did a session there at Hartham.

Really friendly, welcoming gym. The staff are lovely and it has a great atmosphere — none of the pretentious “gym bro” feeling you can sometimes get elsewhere. Everyone is friendly and just gets on with their own workout.

They have all the equipment you need for a good workout, and the gym is well maintained. Really happy I joined Wisewood Gym and would definitely recommend it!
