Well organised, facilities very clean, staff friendly and keen to assist.

Pool clean, but a little cool for seniors and disabled people. Showers not very warm. They attempt to keep the centre clean and hygienic, sometimes it's not quite up to par, but the staff work hard. Very easy to book and cancel through the app, which is a big plus.

My daughter has really enjoyed the swimming lessons at Saxon. The teachers are amazing and motivate the children to do well at each stage and she has made some lovely friends along the way. The skills my daughter has been taught have now enabled her to complete level 10 and be successful in joining the Biggleswade swimming club.

I had a very enjoyable swim at Saxon Pool. The water was just the right temperature for me, although the air felt cold at times. The shower was much better on this visit to previous times, where the water had been too hot, then cold water on restarting the shower. Cleanliness is improving. Reception staff are always really friendly & helpful.

We took our baby for swimming lessons here. The pool temperature was often too cold for my husband let alone the baby. The lesson times were changed at short notice. The price went up with no change in service or quality seen. Swimming teacher was amazing but all of the managers we have dealt with have been obstructive either on purpose or just don’t know how to do their job. We tried to raise concerns about cleanliness and other issues but no improvement so we now pay less per month for a private pool which is warmer, more flexible with lessons and the staff are so helpful.

The Saxon Pool Centre in Biggleswade is excellent, staff are amazingly friendly and helpful. the gym is fully loaded with excellent equipment and it's plenty big enough that you don't wait long. The pool is fab, the aqua aerobics classes are a real work out. I really enjoy being there, even if I just nip in for a coffee from the cafe - thanks all at Saxon :)

Was recommended by nurse at GPs to give these classes a go to help with balance and general fitness.
As a ‘senior’ish citizen I was a bit apprehensive about going to a gym but on meeting the lovely Anna, and discussing what I was hoping to achieve, I was put completely at ease and am greatly enjoying my sessions alongside the group.
Can definitely recommend 👍👍

I've used many gyms over the years including everyone active sites. I've recently visited the Hartham Leisure centre and was blown away by the quality of the equipment and variety available.
Unfortunately the SAXON CENTRE is lacking massively. The equipment is dated and poorly maintained, there is a serious lack of equipment available, there's not even spare barbells, the membership is overpriced, there are large numbers of children allowed to use the gym who have no understanding of gym etiquette, the pool always seems to have issues or be shut for one reason or another, the gym is dirty and in need of a deep clean. I also didn't realise gyms still had communal showers.
Classes are great if you can get on to them. Literally insanely busy. Keep taking new members on when current members can not utilise their membership. More les mills classes needed. It really halts your progression when you can’t do the same classes week to week. Good to see the premises getting a revamp but still no aircon in work out studio. Coffee shop cold as doors always open. Staff are lovely and could be amazing but the booking system is all wrong
The group exercise classes there are fantastic! The instructors are amazing extremely helpful with their advice and they make the workout classes great fun. Highly recommend!

The pool is freezing - the sign says 29 degrees but the thermometer in the pool was 26! We had to leave early as my two year was shivering in the pool saying she was cold. And the state of the changing rooms is disgusting! Dirt nappies left in the changing rooms. One cubicle had one dirty nappy at the start of our swim, when we got out there was another in there. Clearly no one had checked on the cubicles for a while. Showers are broken and have been for a while. Seems like no one cares about anything since Everyone Active took over the leisure contract.

I have been a member of Saxon for a number of years and it was recently bought out by Everyone Active. Since being bought out, this gym has gone downhill very quickly. It's quite a small gym, so the selection of weights and machines is quite limited but you can still make it work providing areas are free and the equipment works. Since EA took over, when something is broken, it is left in a state of disrepair for long periods of time. Not just gym equipment but lockers, lightbulbs, toilets, water fountains and even the showers. They've also increased their member numbers too much so at peak times there are so many groups of people crowded around the limited equipment that's there. This is frustratingly exacerbated when available equipment is more limited by things being broken. £40 a month is far too high a price for the poor service you receive. I've also enrolled my children on swimming lessons which are poorly organised. When a teacher doesn't show up, staff do very little to let you know in advance and have very little empathy when you turn up with the kids expecting a lesson. Add to that the fact that getting a refund is easier said than done. They still owe me for a cancelled lesson. I tried three times to get a refund and eventually just gave up. During more than one lesson, the pool has been freezing and the sewers have been blocked so that you can literally smell faeces while you swim. I provided all this feedback to EA when they sent me a survey a few months back. They never got in touch. I would 100% switch gyms if there was an alternative option in Biggleswade.

I mainly go for the gym but the pool area is large enough and clean and the pools themselves are of adequate size, with a linking baby pool.
The gym is good and lots of choice of equipment. But it is often quite dusty around equipment and people's hair on mats, but that maybe to do with the person last using it. It is a large gym so maybe they need to incorporate a cleaning rota of some kind and it be thorough.
Overall good support from staff and I often see them assist people on training programmes
