Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Looking at 89 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Customers frequently complained about receiving unexpected parking fines despite having made valid payments or displaying proper tickets in the car parks. Consumers expressed deep frustration regarding expensive penalty charges, poorly functioning payment machines, and completely rejected appeals by the management. Some reviewers were not happy with receiving severe warnings and official notices issued without proper prior notice or adequate communication. This would be a minus 10 if possible

This would be a minus 10 if possible. December 28th stopped at Fraisthorpe Beach for 20 minutes, the booth was closed , the parking metre had a cover saying not in use. We walked the dog after spending our first Christmas having lost our young daughter in August.
We then got a parking ticket for £60 , we tried to access the website to pay it would NOT allow us security errors and website down. We tried by phone went round in circles would NOT let us pay by phone, now it's £100 !! This company is despicable, con artistes and to read reviews to say the landowner does not know about what is going on is beyond parody. £100 to park for 20 minutes a lovely Christmas present... Happy Christmas Sir !!
AVOID Fraisthorpe beach or if going DO NOT PARK on the persons plot of land !!

Camera fails to see to enter and leave

I entered and left the car park twice in one day but the cameras only saw me enter the first time and leave the second time.
this left me looking like I spent over five hours in the car park, had I not had a tracker in my car it would have been difficult to prove otherwise.
poor systems in place if they miss me twice.

Money grabbing scammers.

Sold my vehicle and the new owner incurred a parking fine. Excel parking requested the details of the registered owner from DVLA which was still showing as myself and so I started to receive letters threatening court proceedings and bailiffs. I called and emailed multiple times but your explanations are completely dismissed and ignored. They sent me from pillar to post clearly not reading my emails properly (probably deliberate delaying tactics to ensure the matter was dragged out until the court date). When they did respond they insisted they would continue to pursue me unless I provided the new owners name and address, which I couldn’t do as I’d forwarded this information to DVLA on the green part of the V5 log book. I told them they should check once again with DVLA and they flatly refused! It cost me £5 to get the information from DVLA to forward to them. Once I’d proven I wasn’t the keeper at the time I received a very blunt email stating “Liability has now been transferred, and a new letter will be sent in the next few days. DCBL have been instructed to close the case their side”. That’s it, word for word. No thanks for proving the information. No thanks for doing their job for them. No apologies whatsoever. And to make matters worse, the girl who bought my car actually did buy a ticket so she’s trying to prove her own innocence now too.
This company is appalling, they have absolutely zero desire to look into any complaints and will 100% pursue you whether you’re at fault or not. Complete money grabbing *********. Boycott any car parks run by them is my advice.

In january

In january , I have parked my Car in Lincoln St Marks car parking, it is run by excel parking Limited, paid with my card but did not get any ticket, tried to call them but no reception , 2 ladies were there too , they had paid and the same ..no tickets, they left to go to another car park, I have looked for another Ticket machine but there was only this one, I had a court assignment that day at the Lincoln Magistrates Court and had to go, when I came back I had a PCN , tried to call them but no luck again, I have refused to pay after all the threats and intimidations from this company which is very well known in the media, especially at the BBC as a greedy money grabbing company, now we are in December and my County Court start date is end of January, No buddies , I am in the right, I have paid but the ticket machine did not give me a ticket, I have the statement of my Bank with the date and time..this company is not legit to uphold their contract with the customer, I have followed my contract with this company, parked and paid, they have breached the contract..I got advice from my friends who are Lawyers and Barristers at the Courts for whom I work as an Interpreter hired by the MoJ, my advise is, if you are right, you did nothing wrong and on the side of the Law , go for it!

Super cheating

This company is a daylight robbery.
I took ticket for 2 hrs and parked. After few days I got a notice for parking penalties. Luckily I pay by credit card and the ticket is still in my car. So the appeal going on. Most of us pay cash and throw the ticket after parking. Especially women drivers. So please carefully if park there. Better don't use these type of stupid parking.

Extremely Poor Parking Experience Please Be Careful

I’m writing this so other people don’t go through what I did.

In November 2025, I received 4 parking tickets worth £40 each while using PureGym St. Mark’s, Lincoln, despite the fact that I am 100% certain I entered my correct registration number into the gym system on every visit fr the 2 hours members parking.
PS the tickets came laters came days after my trips to the gym

When the parking company (Excel Parking) claimed they couldn’t find my registration number, I appealed. They rejected my appeal immediately and told me I was only allowed to appeal once. Even after sending multiple emails explaining the situation, they refused to review it again.

I also called them, and the representative I spoke to was rude and dismissive, and told me there was nothing they could do and they would end the call.

PureGym didn’t help either. They told me they had no record of my vehicle registration for that period, even though they could confirm that I was at the gym on those dates.

In the end, I had to pay £160 in parking charges in just one month, even though I followed the instructions and entered my registration number correctly.

My advice:
Do not use Excel parking, neither the gym nor the parking company will support you.

Same as the previous - please read

Same as the previous -

Do not use their car parks and avoid businesses that use the company. Nasty people intent on making money, whatever the personal and financial implications to the person. Quick to involve bailiff and threaten legal action. Completely uninterested in evidence showing the unfairness and vindictive nature of their fine.

If the car park has their warning sign AVOID using this car park or shops as even if you are legal its very likely you will get a ticket and they dont give in even when confronted with all the evidence. Next you are faced with a CCJ threat even though I never received any interim letters (nothing recorded delivery) and had considered and written to them confirming the case as closed.

They dont listen are unfair and ignore you. I suggest for private parking enforcement land owners find an alternative supplier as for sure Excel Parking are losing the adjacent shops business.

I submitted VERY valid evidence as to why my parking went over by 5 minutes and they chose to ignore it.

If i could give 0 stars i would

If i could give 0 stars i would. £18 million made in 2024 from fines
If i could give 0 stars i would.
The worst parking company in existence in the UK. Money making scheme, I appealed a recent parking ticket i got and they outright refused any of my evidence and issued with a £100 fine. The area in Sutton Coldfield has local shops: aldi/ tkmaxx/B&M, anywhere else in the UK you don't have to pay for parking to shop at these local stores.
Take a look at companies house and how much this company has made in 2024- over 18 million pounds from fines.

It would be minus 10

It would be minus 10 - paid via my phone app to park at a car park in Lincoln near a restaurant, my phone said I had paid & I had to be back at 4:30pm. The restaurant was closed and as my mother is disabled I moved to another area of the same car park near another restaurant. When I got home I noticed the payment hadn’t gone through and contacted them immediately and was told I had entered my details but it hadn’t completed and that I couldn’t pay retrospectively. They also said if I do get fined show them the email showing I had intended paying. I not only got a fine, I got two because I moved in the same car park. I appealed and they said and I quote, “ We note your comments concerning the use of PayByPhone, however we must clarify that PayByPhone is third-party
software for which we are not responsible.” and I must pay. They are utterly corrupt.

Never use car parks owned by these

Never use car parks owned by these. Fines if you can’t buy a ticket quick enough even though it can take longer just to figure out how to pay for parking. It seems like they actively look for excuses to give you a parking ticket

Parked in travelodge paid for my stay delayed by 5mins, law allows for 15min. they sent a fine, i challenged it with payment evidence, Excel parking went to court without informing me and a CCJ of £277 was issued, to appeal the CCJ costs £313.
they are crooks we need to find a way of stopping them

Parasites

Parasites. I Had to stop after just leaving Bristol Airport multi-story as our child's seat was loose after loading luggage into the car. I was stationery for 34 secs according to their video footage. I Explained the circumstances and they still fought their way through the completely useless appeals service. I consider my child's safety is worth £100. They are a soul-less bunch of hateful parasites.

AVOID EXCEL CAR PARKS AT ALL COSTS

AVOID EXCEL CAR PARKS AT ALL COSTS. They exist purely to slap you with a PCN for whatever unjust reason they can. Never give up fighting them - go to court - the judges know how bad they are - if you’ve done nothing wrong you’ll win.
