Brilliant company

Brilliant company! We've swapped holiday homes for the past 8 years with them, always had excellent and friendly service. Would recommend to others.

Spring week

Just booked a week in the south of France for next Spring. All organised within 36 hours. Very efficient.

Works very well

Works very well, although there are some properties that don’t seem too keen to give any free weeks. I wonder if they make use of the initial points given out?

Lovely Lisa from the office managed the booking with great professionalism and the personal touch. Free holidays in return for letting a member stay in my cottage in an empty period - what's not to like?!

Helpful, friendly, polite team.

The team in the office are really helpful and very polite. The website sadly lets it down as it’s just so dated. The photos are usually poor. I find I regularly get asked to accommodate people but it’s very difficult to get an exchange in return especially if you’re restricted to school holidays. Even finding somewhere in Feb half term in the SW of the UK is very hit n miss.

BE AWARE

BE AWARE: ExchangeHolidayHomes, without any prior notification to you, will deduct credits you have earned. You have earned those credits by allowing their members to stay in your holiday home free of charge. They deduct credits if you have not used them within three years of ExchangeHolidayHomes own BOOKING DATE for the stay in your property, not from the date of the stay itself. They deduct credits even if you have tried several times in the three year period to book a stay in one of their member’s holiday homes but have been unsuccessful, through no fault of your own. The three year deadline is totally arbitrary and there is no justification for it. But guess what? You can pay ExchangeHolidayHomes to extend your credits when you find out that they have been deducted. This practice seems unfair and one sided.

Hi Ann,

Thanks for leaving your feedback. We're really sorry to hear that you weren't expecting the credits on your account to expire.

We will never deduct credits without warning, so I'm sorry that in this instance you didn't see the emails we sent you to outline the credits that were due to expire on your account. It might be worth checking that these haven't been going to your Spam or Junk folder just in case.

The three year deadline is one that we make clear on our T&Cs and at the top of all our booking forms. The reason we place a three year expiration date on the credits you earn is to encourage members to spend their credits and in turn offer exchanges for other members to earn them back. We find that it encourages the flow of exchanges on the site.

We set all expiry dates from the date of booking to enable our members to use these credits from the date of booking as opposed to having to wait til the date of exchange. Not forgetting that you only need to have booked your exchange during the three year period - you can actually take your exchange up to a year beyond that.

Our team are always more than happy to help you find an exchange, so I'm sorry you have had difficulty. We have been able to help you find 4 exchanges, so I'm certain we could help you find another. We find that the most successful members are those that can be flexible on dates, locations and are open minded to visiting places they wouldn't normally consider!

We do take our member feedback seriously so thank you for providing this. Please get in touch at admin@exchangeholidayhomes.com if you would like us to help find an exchange for you.

Best Regards,
Charlie @ The Exchange Team

We love Exchange Holiday Homes.

We love Exchange Holiday Homes. Great choice of properties and places to stay, real people to talk to when booking, which I much prefer to doing everything on line.
From the owners perspective it works very well too, as we can choose to offer our place to other members on dates it is free, and can feel confident that fellow owners will take care of our property.
We have been with EHH for many years and have had many excellent exchanges.

Excellent service

I have been a member of EHH for several years and had excellent service from all members of staff. It can take some time to arrange the exchange due to availability of the property you select but the staff are happy to keep trying other properties to find you a suitable place.
