Terrible customer service and smelly room

Our first stay in holiday inn and this will be the last hotel that we will want to stay again.
We booked a room to stay for two nights. First night we arrived late and we are so tired when we actually went to bed at around 2 am we discovered that the bed does not have one of the legs. My little kid was sleeping hence we did not want to call the reception at that time. But it was a terrible night to try and sleep on that broken bad after a long day.
In the morning, we notified the reception and they came and realised that they need to move us to a different room. Fair enough, but there was no apology that we had to stay in that room whole night with a broken bad.
Next, we moved with all our stuff to that new room hoping that rest of our stay will be pleasant but I was all wrong, there were strong sweaty smell coming from the bed (and/or the sofa bed). Though the bed linings looked clean we were not sure where the smell was coming from, it would be from the lining, the duvet or the mattress. I called the reception and they send someone who without even getting inside the room properly concluded that she cannot smell anything odd and will let the reception know if they can do anything else.
When we went out, I told the reception if they could at least change the bed linings and I was told it will be sorted. When we got back to our room in the evening, nothing was done. I called the reception again asking why no action has been taken and this time a new person came, he was so unbelievably rude we were never prepared to get this sort of treatment from hotel chain like holiday-inn. He did eventually change the lining but by that time we were so upset that we were counting the hours to leave the hotel.
Even there was no single apology during checkout when I asked the receptionist why we were given a room with broken bed on the first night.
