Express Tech

I visited the Express Tech store yesterday and had a really good experience there. I had a issue with the screen on an iPhone not responding to a finger swipe movement. The phone was tested there with another screen to diagnose the reason for the fault and they confirmed that the screen needed to be replaced. I then agreed for them to go ahead to replace the screen and am delighted with the result. Very fast repair - I had the phone back within one hour of bringing it to the shop. Thanks also to Graham at the desk for all your assistance.

Very Poor Service & Communication

Very Poor Service & Communication – Avoid

I had a very frustrating experience with Express Tech.
Initially, I contacted them about an issue with my Samsung S6 tablet, and was advised it likely needed a new battery. I dropped the device in, but had to follow up myself as there was no communication. Eventually, I was told it was repaired and ready to go, so I arranged for a friend to collect and pay.
However, when I got the tablet back, the exact same issue persisted — it was still powering down.
I returned it again, and once more there was zero communication. After chasing them, I was told it was fixed again and ready for collection, with no additional charge. But when my friend went to pick it up, he was given the wrong tablet entirely — someone else’s Samsung A9.
When I reported this, I was told a courier would come to my house to swap the devices. The courier never arrived. I followed up again — same promise, and again, no courier showed up. Weeks passed with no contact from the company.
Eventually, I had to go into Dublin myself to resolve it. When I returned the incorrect tablet, the staff member (Graham) was unapologetic and argumentative, even claiming delivery had been attempted twice (which is simply untrue — someone was home at all times).
I was then told my tablet had been fine all along, which directly contradicted everything I had been told previously. I insisted on seeing it working before taking it. After delays and more waiting, I was then told there was now a new issue (damp in the charging port).
At that point, I had completely lost confidence. I requested a refund and left with my device.
Summary:
Extremely poor communication throughout
Repeated misinformation about repairs
Given the wrong device belonging to another customer
Failed delivery arrangements
Unprofessional and dismissive customer service
Issue never properly resolved
I would strongly advise others to avoid this business.

Just please avoid

Laptop was broken, didn't even ask for it to be fixed completely because we are in need of it within two weeks. They just totally ignore phone calls and had to go in 6 times in a week. Kept saying it would be done in a few hours but it's never ready when we come in, doesn't even send a text or call that they don't have it fixed. Wasted time and energy. Go ahead and come here if want the worse customer experience in your life.

I had a terrible experience with this store. I initially went in for a battery replacement, and during the process, they damaged my original Pixel 7 Pro screen. After waiting for an additional 3 days. They replaced it with a duplicate screen that had a black mark, making the display awful. Despite multiple visits and promises to fix the issue, they never resolved it, and I had to return at least 10 times. I strongly advise against using this service center.

Very positive experience of Express…

Very positive experience of Express Tech. Laptop wouldn’t close - problem with one of the hinges. It caused the screen to come away from the frame. I WhatsApped them on Saturday to see if it could be fixed. They replied within an hour to say yes, probably, and quoted price (€90, provided it could be repaired). Dropped it in on Monday. Got a text today that it was fixed and ready for collection. It’s now working perfectly. Five stars!

Over the Moon

Over the Moon – Express Tech Went Above and Beyond!

I honestly couldn’t recommend Express Tech enough. I brought in my MacBook to get the screen replaced, and not only did they do an absolutely perfect job, but they also went way above and beyond what I paid for. They fitted a screen protector completely free of charge, cleaned up every mark, and even touched up the edges so it looked like a brand-new laptop when I got it back.

The price they charged for the screen replacement was the best I could find anywhere — and now that I’m back in the office working, the quality of the new screen is unbelievable. It’s crystal clear and honestly feels better than the original.

I also brought in my phone, which had been giving me non-stop problems after being in and out of multiple repair shops. The lads ran a full free diagnostics, showed me exactly what was wrong, and explained where previous repairers had caused issues. They gave me their full attention from start to finish, something I’ve never experienced anywhere else.

These guys genuinely care about their work and their customers. They went above and beyond in every possible way, and I left feeling 100% satisfied. If you want honesty, professionalism, and real value for money — Express Tech is the only place to go.

Literally 5 star service from start to finish. Booked my repair at approx 8am, phone was collected by courier from my office just after 9am and phone was to me just after lunch at 2pm. Lovely guys when I rang and said I had booked a repair to be collected by courier and when I checked on the progress. Phone is as good as new. 10/10 would recommend and will use again.

Avoid these scammers

I paid for courier collection to repair my apple watch. I was never contacted to arrange the collection. I have called and emailed several times to see what is going on but they just ignore emails and don't answer the phone. I now have to request a charge back from my bank. I don't know how Expresstech are still in business.

AVOID this place at all costs!

AVOID this place at all costs!

I brought in a laptop for what I thought was a simple battery replacement, which led to 5 weeks of absolute turmoil. They said they would call me with updates in regards to the laptop, which did not happen once. I had to call them and when they answered (which was not often) they said the technician had just updated them and they were about to contact me, this happened 5 times so they were clearly lying. They repeatedly put me on the long finger, saying that it had to go to a different technician etc.

Whats worse than this horror show, they gave it back to me with a few screws missing from the back, which made me bring it to another repair shop to see just exactly what they had done. It turns out they had no idea what they were doing, and potentially had short circuited the whole computer. "Manhandled" was what I was told. Completely unapologetic staff to boot

Once more : AVOID

Do not trust this place with your phone repairs. I brought my iPhone 16 Pro in for a screen replacement, which cost €250. A few weeks later, the screen shattered from a fall of less than a meter - onto a wooden floor - with a protective case on.

I returned and was charged another €200 for a second replacement. This time, they added a screen protector - something they should have done in the first place. Not long after, a blue inky patch appeared on the top left of the screen and gradually spread, making the phone completely unusable.

Crucially, the phone had not been dropped, hit, or damaged in any way after the second repair.

When I went back, they made me wait over an hour while the phone was supposedly being “assessed” (it just sat untouched on a desk). Eventually, I was told I’d need another new screen - and that it wasn’t their fault after spending EU550 on two screens.

Ended up getting it fixed properly by another provider for €150.

Bottom line: Terrible customer service, poor-quality parts, and you’ll find better prices and reliability elsewhere. Avoid ExpressTech at all costs.

I left my MacBook with this company over two months ago to fix a screen issue. At first, they told me they were waiting for a replacement screen but since then radio silence.
They stopped answering phone calls, emails go ignored, and their support has been completely useless. I’ve basically handed over my laptop and gotten zero updates or resolution.

It feels like they’ve either lost my device or just can’t be bothered anymore. Absolutely unprofessional and irresponsible. If you value your time, money, or your device — go somewhere else.
