$900 glasses but no adjustment allowed!?!

I had a consult with a lovely young man and explained i hadn't had success with progressive glasses before. My issue was with driving. They took this into account and said it may be if it doesn't work I'll need separate glasses for driving. $900 later i had a wonderful pair of glasses but driving was a little out. We discussed and i asked them to adjust one time so i can try to get one pair of glasses for all. I trialed them for a reasonable 3wks but the adjustment to my seating and nose down, they suggested, were unnatural. I had asked them to hold the original lenses as they were great for everything else and i figured I'd revert back (which is just a pop out and in). The problem arose when i did this - i figured at $900 you should be able to make 1 adjustment. The old guy (may be the owner - Greg) treated me like a nuisance, kept saying i couldn't do any more as it would ruin their reputation with the lens grinder. I said, no i just want to go back to the 1st lenses and that's just a pop out/in). He said, ' this is the 3rd time!' I said no it's just the 2nd. He said no, it says on your file 3rd. I said I've only made one change. He looked again and said after some mumbing and searching, that a mistake had been made. While he popped out to replace the original lenses i heard him talking loudly to someone about the error. He came out gave me my glasses and sent me on my way. No apology for making me feel i was a troublesome customer.

An apology does not take much but some people are too proud to admit when the make a mistake!!!
