Disappointing handling of a missed bed assembly
I purchased two beds with mattresses from EZ Living Furniture Athlone. The quotations I received showed assembly for two beds, and I was told that assembly of the second bed would be included. The evening before delivery, I called the store specifically to check and was again told that both beds would be assembled.
On delivery day, the team said their instructions covered only one bed, so the second was left unassembled. I followed up with the store and then escalated the matter to customer service. EZ Living apologized and eventually confirmed in writing that the store had missed adding the second assembly to the sales order. However, they said the final order showed only one assembly and offered to complete the second for €45, described as a 50% discount.
I paid the €45 because I wanted the bed assembled without further delay. The installation was subsequently arranged. I appreciate that EZ Living did eventually complete it, but I was disappointed that resolving an acknowledged order mistake required repeated follow-ups and an extra payment from me.
This review concerns the handling of the order and complaint, not the quality of the beds or the conduct of any individual staff member.

We acknowledge that the second assembly was not added to the sales order as it should have been, and we understand your frustration at having to follow this up and then pay an additional charge to have the assembly completed.
We’re glad that we were ultimately able to arrange the assembly for you, but we appreciate that the process took more time and effort on your part than it should have. We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused and appreciate you bringing this to our attention.

Bought a mattress from Alison …. With 7 or 8 ONEFOR ALL vouchers , which took some time and the experience was very positive. Alison was great to deal with, and never complained about the tedious transactions. Alison was so patient and helpful!! Very pleasant and helpful staff. Walked around for a while and was greeted by the staff but didn't feel hassled, which is a bugbear of mine. Staff member went to a bit of trouble to find the item I wished to purchase. Everything was seamless and easy. Would recommend.
