I've just left Fitness4Less Colchester after 2 years. Spin classes are very good, never done any of the other classes. Main reason I left is the Gym equipment is old. Also changing rooms look a bit da... See more

Worst gym ever the staff broke my locker and stole my things.

The manager had a go at me for complaining to head office as no one would listen to me that there wifi didnt work.
Very rude. Just hassle from the start.
Never seen aything like it. To many kids managing the place

Go elsewhere
Decent (not enough water in the shower, hyper crowded changing room, very loud music) experience till I had to cancel. I cannot see any contract but I now have to pay an extra month, I'm checking if it's even legal or if I can just cancel my direct debit. I'd rather spend 50 times my monthly subscription in lawyers's parcels than being scammed.
I should have read those reviews long ago, I would have gone to one of the many other gyms in the area.
Now they will change their name in Energie Fitness Borough so beware.

It's all good until you want to cancel
It's all good until you want to cancel. I had to go to the gym and find out I need to sent them an e-mail. All good I have sent then an e-mail and told them I want to cancel my membership and that I will cancel the direct debit. Then I found out it's a 30 days notice. So they will still collect another payment. But I forgot I have cancelled the direct debit and now I owe them 35 for a month when I'm not using the gym . Happy days !
Be careful you don't get a contract where you can read these policies , and they won't send you one on e-mail either. I have been with this gym for nearly 2 years so they can mess up on the last month. Pathetic!

Just as everyone before has said this…
Just as everyone before has said this isn't a no contract gym. They try and scam you out of another 30 days payment and add a £20 administrator charge??? Staff are uneducated and completely rude. Avoid this franchise especially the southwark branch.

Cancelation Rip off
They rip you off another month when you decide to cancel the membership. They say 30 days notice but make sure those 30 days start in the beginning of the month or else you have to pay an extra month. Misleading at least.

Near impossible to cancel
Near impossible to cancel. They pretend it's a no contract gym but I can tell you it is 100% contracted. I got told to cancel I had to cancel my direct debit (as with most non-contracted gyms). If you listen to that advice and cancel your direct debit you'll be fine. I paid off my fine, then got told I had to wait a week to cancel. By that point I had to pay another month.
So all in all to cancel a budget gym membership it cost me £66.
It is very difficult to find out how to cancel your membership online.

Wouldn't recommend
Gym is ok, but management is rubbish. They barred my PIN number, so couldn't use the gym. No communication from company, couldn't log onto website, chronically understaffed

Cancelled my membership a month ago,now …
Cancelled my membership a month ago,now i receieve 2 emails saying i have breached my contract. That is strange because i never signed a contract with them. It says NO CONTRACT on the bloody wesite. Even had the cheak to add a £20 admin fee. Absolute joke. If this happens to you guys, just ignore all emails send them to your spam folder. Let them waste their time in sending fraudulent correspondents. They will get bored. Trust me it s all scare tatctics. Been a member of gyms for over 30 years, never have i had a problem like this before. Hope they go bust.

Erith branch- Misleading adverts
Inadequate customer service. They advertise "no contract" but it's all lies. No cooling off period. Misleading adverts. Then you get letter and email from Harlands. The employee that spoke to me didn't even really want to listen to me all he had to advise was that they will pass me on to debt collectors. So much for advertising "no contracts". Cancel my DD within the cooling off period as I contacted them and no one got back to me to advise how to cancel the membership. Bare in mind I only went to the gym one day for not even 40 mins. They insist I pay which I will do that I can close my account with them. I do NOT recommend joining especially the Erith branch. Customer service and content advertised to consumers can do with a vast amount of improvement

Don't join
When I joined my first question was if I want to cancel what was the process.
I was told just cancel the direct debit and that's all.
Well no that's not the case as I'm now being stung for another months membership I don't want or need

Not the No Contract gym they claim to be! you have been warned!
Despite it claiming to be a "no contract" gym, after I notified them I was cancelling and stopped my direct debit, they send me a letter saying my account is in arrears for £39.99, for a £20 admin fee and another months membership! They claim it's in the terms of my membership that I must give 30 days notice to cancel. I never signed a contract with them, so it is not. It also states nothing of the sort on their website, they simply state there is "no contract". This was the fit4less Glasgow south gym in Thornliebank.
They are clearly misleading members, you have been warned. Steer clear and go to a proper "no contract" gym from puregym or the gymgroup.
