I ordered a chair on October 22 that should have been delivered in December 22.... We are mid May 23 and still waiting to be reimboursed as the chair was nos delivered and Famous Design has written on December 28 they will send money back
I would recommand to avoid this website that take your money, do not deliver and do not give back your money... Lots of other website are much more clean and safe
They are not available on the phone even if they share one on the website and do not reply to your email even with lots of details

BEWARE FRAUD ALERT

DO NOT ORDER AT FAMOUS DESIGN IN FRANCE

I passed an order on the 17th of November 2022 for 6 chairs and 2 arm chairs at Eur. 971.- , I received 2 chairs (that were not the ones I ordered) and a few more uncomplete chair pieces.
I contacted the company by email (never answer phone) who told me they had inventory issues, although I had specifically ordered available chairs (their internet site specified a 100 chairs available).
After trying to call them multiple times with no success, I sent many emails asking for an address to return the 2 chairs and to ask them to send the chairs I had paid for or to issue a refund.
After harassing them on their chat and by email they finally gave me address to send back the chairs. The chairs have been sent and since then they are playing dead...I DO NOT HAVE MY CHAIRS AND THEY ARE NOT REFUNDING MY 971.- EUROS

FAMOUS DESIGN IS A FRAUD I HAVE FILED A COMPLAINT AGAINST THEM.

BUT received today my 2 chairs after so looong time.
Inside the box no documents/no invoice but the 2 chairs are ok.
So this cy not crook but service nill.

Still got no refund, waiting for more that one year. Cannot reach this company via phone or email.

On July 13, our law firm bought 8 conference room chairs for €4.000, which were marked on their website as "in stock". Two months later, we still have no chairs. I'll spare you the details of the excuses raised by Famous Design, all of which are completely in contradiction with their claim of having the items "in stock". I will keep you all updated on the situation, and will report objectively on progress, but in the meantime, you may want to consider spending your hard-earned money elsewhere.
UPDATE AS OF SEPTEMBER 20 2022: Still no chairs despite the promises made two weeks ago that we would receive them 10 days later. Upon our inquiry yesterday, we were provided with a fresh series of promises -- now our shipping container is "in the process of arriving". I think you get the vibe from my review...
Will provide further updates and will definitely let you know in the --seemingly unlikely-- event that they actually do deliver on their promises.

One star is still too high!

On the 1st February 2022 I received confirmation of our order for an office chair. I was quoted a 4-week delivery period.

On the 30th March I chased for information as the chair had not arrived. I was told that it would be sent “in the next 10 days”.

On the 6th April I was informed that “DHL and DPD refused to deliver to UK at the moment...Please could you provide us with your IBAN/BIC for a complete refund ?”

I suggested looking for another courier and on the 7th April you said they would look for an alternative option.

On the 2nd May I asked where my chair was. The answer was “our container is arriving next Monday. I will keep you updated…”.

On the 4th May I asked where the container was arriving and was told “I'm sorry our logistics cannot ship anymore to the UK...” I was asked for my bank details - which I provided - so that a refund could be made.

On the 12th May I chased the refund and was informed that the “refund is planned for the end of the week”.

On the 19th May, I was informed that “The refund is planned for next Tuesday with our new bank”.

On the 14th June, I was informed that i would receive “Refund on Friday”.

On 16th June, chasing my payment, I was informed that “It has been done yesterday”.

On the 23rd June I told you that I still hadn’t received the refund.

On the 24th June you replied that “An investigation is made at the bank. We will contact you asap. Don’t worry”

On the 4th July I asked for an update. This time I was told “I just sent a reminder to the accounts. As soon I got an update I will contact you”.

On the 5th July I asked for an update and was told: “…as soon as I receive an information from the accounts. You're not forgotten”.

On the 7th July I tried calling the London office but the number provided is no longer in service I called your French office and received an answerphone message with the instruction to email.

And so it goes.

Despite me sending emails virtually every day, the company no longer replies to my emails chasing my refund payment and no-one answers the phone in the UK or France.

Very fast delivery, the item is far ahead all expectations. Absolutely well manufactured and well packaged, sold at a competite price! Bravo!

Our first Saarinnen-tabouret we received from Vertigo was beautiful and a great joy to have in our home; so we ordered a second one via Famous Design; helas there was a big difference in the stiching of the leather cover, full of undesirable folds in the vertical part; so we reported and the FamousDesignlady promised and send us a third exemplar which arrived promptly , only also this cover has, slightly, the foldings, beit a fraction of the second exemplar, maybe it would have disturbed Saarinnen as well, using his untouchable name for the product. Nevertheless we are grateful in the whole and possibly I can correct the stitching myself. Sincerely, m vliegenthart
