Always had poor food from Favourite…

Always had poor food from Favourite Chicken. However, today, at the shop in Wincheap Canterbury I had HOT DELICIOUS food. Not only was the food tasty, the staff took the time to make sure I had enjoyed it, which is a far cry from my last experience there. If, every time I went there, the food was this good, I’d order for the family. Nice job people. I didn’t get the guys name but he was an Indian chap, with great service standards.

Weird Workers

The way that the men here behave is disgusting. Don’t go, trust me you don’t want to be served by these weirdos. They are a disgrace. Grown men acting like this? Grow up!

Bad customer service zero stars

I went to buy an order of ribs and some chicken strips for my son when I got home there was no ribs. There was a box of chicken wings and my son‘s order when I phoned them up to ask him where my food was they replied to? I gave them the wrong orderand that if I wanted it replaced I would have to pay for it again. They then proceeded to scream and shout at me down the phone calling me all kinds of names yes the food is nice there but the customer service is disgusting and I would never eat that again.

£2.00 for 15g coleslaw! Absolutely rip off. How dare you charge that?
Reheating a corn on the cob in a kettle on the floor !?!? Are you for real

You have asked for more details. The coleslaw was in a pot no bigger than you get dipping sauce in and weighed 15g. The corn being cooked or reheated in a kettle I saw with my own eyes ??

The best value is always when buying as part of a meal deal, as is the case elsewhere. Horrible tasteless donuts!

After having spent £39 on a favourite chicken order l was completely let down with their donuts! The texture, look and taste was horrible! There was zero sugar on the donuts and it was a complete waste of £5.99! I would not recommend these so called donuts to anyone!

Well, Favourite chicken asked for my details but absolutely nothing has happened! I have not heard from them at all!?

Well it took some time for Favourite Chicken to sort out the problem but they came through in the end so thank you very much it was appreciated.

Disappointed lunch

We went to our branch in beacontree in dagenham. I placed the order from the photos on the wall above the counter. My order should have been 2 chicken 3 ribs beans and chips. I paid for an extra chicken for my husband I do t eat it. After a 20 minute drive home I opened the box to find .3 pieces of chicken 6 wings chips and beans. Not what I ordered. When I phoned I got a very loud irate man telling me I didn’t know what I wanted. I asked his name but he refused. This was the 2nd of July 2025. Needless to say I won’t be buying food from there again.

We had been getting very good service. and then .......…

We had been getting very good service for a long time Friendly person usually on duty Wednesday evenings. Sadly this was not the case on 19th Mar ..we asked for the regular 2 piece chicken but told to wait 15 minutes ..so we did . Sitting outside noticed several delivery drivers going in and out . After 15 minutes we were told SORRY we don't have chicken to sell ..WHAT !? ..I had cash, waited 15 minutes as were asked but they were only cooking chicken for ordered deliveries. Fuming. How can this be . Open to the public ..but not open to the public . No excuse/reason whatsoever ...you could not make this up. Very disappointed to say the least .

Incorrect opening times displayed Dover

I live an hours drive from Dover so but am staying near there tonight so checked up on opening hours etc before making the journey.
Google opening hours for this store are 11am until midnight so with this in mind I made sure that I arrived with more than an hour to spare before closing and arrived at 22:55.
Went to order a 3 piece chicken meal but was told that the chicken isn't ready. I said I was prepared to wait but was told that they were not prepared to cook any chicken for me. I then asked for a 10 piece wings meal and was told that they only had 4 wings.
Upon asking why such little stock was available I was told that the shop was about to close and I pointed out that on the door it states that the shop is open until midnight which at that point was over an hour away . The staff member did not answer my question.
I then had to go to nearby Roosters chicken and when I walked back to my car at 2335 Favorite chicken appeared closed with the lights off .

I communicated the matter to customer service who logged my complaint and have since altered the times on Google and have promised to alter the times in the window. I am grateful to them for doing this however if you go back to the start of this review you will see that I planned my visit around the times that were stated at the time which were incorrect and fell victim to incorrect information.
Putting myself in the position of customer service I would have offered a voucher code for this and I submitted an email via resolver which the team have responded to but have declined to comment on this request.

Thanks for replying. Regarding the stress that being fed false information has caused me:

Are you satisfied that I am having to live with the stress?

Update: You say that you have fully responded to my complaint which I assume means the email sent on March 5th.
I now refer to that email. In said email you state that the opening hours that were advertised at the time of me checking were not the correct hours.
You then go on to state that my arrival at the store was shortly prior to closing hence the reason why I apparently it was too much to ask for me to expect a chicken meal.
If you examine this closely along with my original email you will see that based on the opening and closing times that I was provided with that I was understandably
under the impression that I was well in advance of closing.
It was a direct result of false advertising that I fell victim to the above.
I put this in an email to you in response your "full response " and did not receive a response to this.
You state in your response that you have amended the opening hours on Google which you have, you state that you intend to change the poster in the shop window to the correct hours . I shall be checking when possible to see if this has been done. Both of these actions are appreciated as it prevents other individuals from suffering the same fate as I did however this only solves 2 thirds of the issue. The damage done to myself as a result of false advertising has not been rectified so legally this issue is still ongoing.

First.and last time..extremely rude…

First.and last time..extremely rude man,made me wait to place my order,Paid by card for my order around £15 ..I then asked for a hot sauce which he poured and said 50pence ,I presented my card again and he said can't pay 50p by card,I explained that I had no cash and like other eateries I expected him to either give me the sauce free or ask me to pay for it later or the next day .He said its 50p again
I was gobsmacked by his arrogant and rude attitude ..I commented that it was only 50p but he refused and took great pleasure In it too .I was really taken aback by his mean and stingy behaviour,,never ever had thst before so I told him what I thought,,(np.profanity)and left..when I got home I realised he hadn't given me what I ordered so I phoned him ,but it was to no avail
Never going back there again.....worst of all my coat and clothes stank of stale oil

I have eaten in multiple chicken…

I have eaten in multiple chicken restaurants and take away establishments but never have I come across something bordering dangerous, until I order dinner from this place, THE CORBY BRANCH. I honestly think I haven't had a worse meal in my life. The chicken was tasteless, the ribs were tough to eat, horrible texture but it was the popcorn chicken that gave me reason to research food poisoning.

No food delivered no refund either.

Placed an order for delivery, waited 90 minutes then phoned them, got told another half hour waited and phoned again asked for a refund. No refund no food. Won't be using it again. I advise anyone wanting fast food delivered to not bother from this company.

Edit: I was offered a voucher code to use within 1 month. I will let those who read this decide whether to order and risk losing money.

The whole company is a rip off like so many now, you pay a delivery charge and then they charge you more then advertised per item because it's being delivered,eg in store 5.99 add to delivery becomes 7.99.
