Long Time Glen Carbon Contractor Does Not Stand Behind His Work for A Long Time

After extensive research and meeting the owner multiple times, I signed a contract for Ferguson to reconstruct and remodel my bathroom. Everything seemed to go fine...the existing shower needed to be completely torn down to the stud walls due to mold, etc...A new tub and Onyx shower panels were installed, with NEW plumbing, etc...in less than one year there seemed to be signs of water next to the caulking on the wall where the shower wall and tub were installed. I did not see water stains on the basement ceiling tiles like I did previously, but shortly after one year the water stains came through the ceiling tiles in the basement directly under the tub/shower plumbing. I texted Mr. Ferguson, got a voice mail from Mrs. Ferguson/office manager, called her back and told her I would like for him to come out and take a look, give me an estimate if necessary. But since he was the one that installed the plumbing and the fixtures, I felt he was responsible. After talking to Mrs Ferguson/office manager on the phone and she told me she would call me back with an appointment, it has been one month and I have never heard back from her. Within the last week my husband and I saw Mr Ferguson at Lowe's, he looked at us but never spoke. Never offered to come out to our house, nothing...I was blind sighted by Mr Ferguson when I met with him and talking to his wife/office manager on the phone previous to signing my contract. I thought he was the type of person that cared about his reputation and would stand behind the work of his company. He had an employee working on my bathroom, but Mr Ferguson was out at least once a day, sometimes twice, to check and see how the project was going. I would have given Ferguson a five-star review, but now that we have hired a plumber to correct Ferguson's mistakes, three stars are the best I can do. I am not mad, just disappointed that the 'old ways of taking responsibility' that I thought Mr Ferguson believed in, he does not.
