Installed adware
I was downloading some software that I found on FileHorse. The first hints that something was wrong was the small file size, slow download speed in the installer, and the insistence on downloading additional software. After all this, it gave an error that the download was unavailable in the first place and that it was cancelling the installer. However, I did some malware scans to be safe and found that it left three adware files on my computer.

Malware!
I decided to upgrade my SRWare Iron browser to the latest 79 version. But it was very slow on my PC, so I decided to downgrade to 78. The older version wasn't readily available, but I found it on Filehorse. But when I tried to download it, my F-Secure Safe anti-virus blocked it, saying:"PUA\InstallCore". Tried several times, both 32 and 64 bit. Kept searching, found what I needed on Filepuma, this time my F-Secure was silent. Contacted Filehorse's support, asked for comments. Since then 5 days passed, no e-mails from them. Then, obviously, my guess is right - Filehorse spreads malware.

DONOT INSTALL APP DOWNLOADED ON THIS SITE
I was trying to download a program from this site and when I installed it. My McAfee informed me that a virus has tried to attacked my pc. It was Trojan Virus written on the file i downloaded on FileHorse website. Thank god i have an antivir which saved my pc's life. FU FileHorse

I find this site secure and really easy to actually download software you need. Never had any issues with files downloaded from this site. It also looks good. I recommend it to all my friends and colleagues all the time.

Interesting and secure site!
Found Filehorse to be very useful, as it doesn't only offer a simple way to download free software, but it's also safe to use. One thing that's worth taking note of, is that they're very prompt with replying to any questions you might have. Thumbs up!
