We ran one for several years with great results UNTIL we last replaced the filters. Both replacement sets were from reputable sources (Amazon first, then filters fast) and BOTH sets had a Very "chemical" taste to them. Attempts to contact Whirlpool about the issue resulted in excessive time in voicemail hell, with no "selection" for where to be directed OR ability for "0" for a person. Ultimately replaced the entire unit with one from another vendor. Stay Away.

Quality product. Feel the filters are a little pricey; but, this may be due to back order and huge demand due to the back orders. So happy that filtersfast finally got these in.

I use these filters for the last 12 years and never had any problems with them. I did not make chemical analysis of water 'before' and 'after', but anyway it looks like at least chlorine smell of unfiltered water is completely eliminated with these filters. I can't say more regarding water quality, but also I have nothing negative about the water quality or the filters as such. The only concern is - nowadays they become quite expensive (Home depot and Lowe's stoped supplying them and other websites raised the price)
