Drone disaster

If you want to be scammed into buying a Fimi, I am the sad owner of an X8 Tele Max, first of all I bought it because it indicated that it had Remote ID and that is what is specified in the store.fimi, well it is a lie, it does not have it!!! The quality of the recordings is quite mediocre, and now, after two flights, the recordings randomly show black horizontal bars. It's a disaster. Don't waste your money on such garbage.I also don't understand why newer drones lose features that older ones had...why can't you lock exposure on the Tele Max???...terrible.

X-8 pro 2025 EPIC FAIL

Bought a X8 Pro 2025 and it is terrible, it has barely 500m range before initiating RTH. In a clear space you might get 850m. Also some really odd flight behaviour such as random slow downs, excessive angle of attack and control issues. After sending the black box files Fimi support said return it for a refund. Also there are all sorts of issues with the navi 3.0 app. It is missing functions for GPS type selection. Night mode is stuck on. Some menu options are different in iPhone versus Android as i've tried both. The manual is inconsistent with the app. It has given bogus compass interferance errors and it has given an overheat error in cool conditions.
Very very dissapointing.

Fimi x8 pro 205

Bought the fimi x8 pro 2025 during the presale in january 2025 at 459$. At that time they advertised the price as unbeatable and the price included the free megaphone. 2 week later, the price was reduced to 399$ without the megaphone. I had many chat with the customer service sharing my frustration to have paid 60$ more. They said the differential in price is because of the "free" megaphone. A company that uses scammy marketing stategy and that consider its clients as dumb dont deserve to stay in business. They never offer me to reimburse me the 60$ offering instead a credit to buy more despite that I told them many time i dont need anything more. The worst feeling a new customer can get is to feel stolen, learn that!

Two years ago I bought a FIMI x8 2022…

Two years ago I bought a FIMI x8 2022 V2 with three batteries on Bangood. The drone and the batteries were rarely used. After two years, I notice that all three batteries are no longer accepted by the drone at the same time. None of these batteries ever dropped below 20%.

Thanks to a video on YouTube, I was able to repair and recharge one battery, I was also able to fly the drone with the battery, but the % value dropped to 0, although the battery still had sufficient voltage and I was able to land the drone properly.

This behavior gives me reason to believe that the batteries have an expiration date and are no longer usable after two years. In my opinion, this is no coincidence, as this phenomenon happened with three batteries at the same time.

Actually, I was very happy with the conscience that I can reuse the batteries on newer models, I decided against DJI for this reason. However, I think that 100€ for a replacement battery is too expensive and from an economic point of view it is justifiable to dispose of a technically intact battery.

They are excellent drones if you are going to use them once

And as a lot of people say, when I first received the drone, it was working quite well, it was so smooth and the camera looked great. After a few weeks, and without having crashed, the gimbal doesn't work anymore, and I can't calibrate it anymore, it always displays a warning that says the drone is in the wrong direction and it should be horizontal, even though it is already laying flat on the ground. Now I have to contact fimi support, let's see if at least they answer.

FIMI X8 drones are illegal in the US

I purchased a FIMI X8 Pro from "The Official Fimi Store". I opted for the TX10A built in screen remote control and 1 extra battery. $816 delivered to my house in Tennessee. Compared th the DJI Air 2S, the X8 Pro has better features for half the price. Then I received the X8 Pro and TX10A controller and everything went downhill fast! To start with FIMI IS NOT REMOTE ID COMPLIANT in the U.S. They absolutely lie to American customers. I say this because I checked the FAA website for registering drones that weigh over 249 grams. In order for a drone that weighs more than .55lbs/249grams to be legally flown In the US. The manufacturer must apply for and receive an approved Declaration of Compliance from the FAA. THERE ARE ZERO PRODUCTS ON THE LIST OF APPROVED DRONES manufactured by FIMI! Absolutely zero!

Unfortunatelly, I ordered the drone from Fimi directly

I wish I had read Mr Fredison Carvalho's review before ordering directly from Fimi's official site.

I placed an order for a Fimi X8 Mini V2 back in Oct 15, 2023. Now, more than 3 months later, I still haven't receive anything. I have been sending messages and emails to them multiple times and they never did anything to help, like checking with their carriers. Instead they keep saying "please wait a few more days, this is now in your country (Canada)". I finally tell them that I will share my experience in Youtube, if I do not received the drone in 2 weeks, and their action is not replying to my email.

BTW, Mr Fredison Carvalho, did you finally receive your drone?

***AMERICANS! DO NOT BUY A FIMI X8 PRO DIRECT FROM FIMI, CHINA OR ANY FOREIGN WEBSITE*****

I purchased two FIMI X8 PRO drones from FIMI TECHNOLOGY directly and they were both defective upon taking it out of the box, leaving me at a loss of $1300.00 US Dollars. Even with the standard controller, the transmission and the FPV display is terrible. It is extremely pixelated, jello_like, and the image is skipping. The image is also the same when recorded on the SD card. Even worst when you pair it with a TX10A Controller. There is nothing but jello_like images on the screen and the camera seems to be overfilled with EV discrepancies. PLAINLY STATED, THE CAMERA IS NO GOOD. It is 100 TIMES WORST THAT THE FIMI X8 SE 2022 V2. There is a bad batch of drones that FIMI has manufactured and are still selling it to consumers as if it was fully functional. The scam is that when a consumer from another country purchases direct from FIMI and has product issues, FIMI will require them to conduct several tests or pay $450.00 US currency to return the $600.00 drone. All at your expense. PAYPAL WILL NOT PROTECT YOU. THEY WILL SIDE WITH THE VENDER BECAUSE THEY WILL AGREE TO SWITCH THE FUSELAGE ONLY IF YOU SHIP THE DAMAGED ONE BACK. Why would i pay 3/4th the cost of the drone to ship it back? I am warning all Americans that this company is not to be trusted. ALSO THEY CLAIM THAT THE X8 PRO AND THE X8 SE 2022 V2 HAS REMOTE ID. HOWEVER IT IS NOT ON THE FAA's LIST OF APPROVED DRONES NOR ARE YOU ABLE TO REGISTER IT AS HAVING REMOTE ID ON THE FAA WEBSITE. DO NOT GET STUCK WITH THIS FALSELY ADVERTIZED ITEM. This is the reason why they have not yet started selling the defective product on Amazon. Fimi Technology will request the Blackbox information and then claim to not find any issues, thereby leaving the customer at a loss for their finances. The poor performance of the product may also be the reason why there aren't much reviews of this particular item on the internet nor YouTube. THEY RECENTLY REACHED OUT TO A YOUTUBER NAMED ALIEN DRONES seeking a review FOR THE X8 PRO. HOWEVER IT does not hide the dishonesty. I called China directly several times from the USA and spoke with a representative named Amy and she had more of a NASTY attitude. I AM CURRENTLY IN THE PROCESS OF COMMUNICATING WITH The US department of consumer Affairs and also Amazon so that this Defective product does not make it to the United states.

I had a phenomenal experience ordering…

I had a phenomenal experience ordering a FIMI drone from Banggood, a friend ordered one directly from fimi. Both of our drones came Problem free and we have yet to have an issue…(2years) so no need for customer support yet. I am extremely impressed for the money and I will continue to recommend them. Hopefully they get better customer support wise and can continue to provide phenomenal drones at insanely great prices.

Long left hanging,probably put motors on it and give me back to do same thing later(

FIMI X8 se 2020 Scam software stops battery recharging

The FIMI X8 sent 2020 drone appeared ok until the battery discharged below 15%. The unit then shows a message "battery is damaged and cannot be used any more". The battery will not charge, there is a flashing error sequence on the battery. There is a YouTube fix which shows how to reset and allows battery to charge to full capacity, this is indicated in FIMI software on each of the three cells. The drone still shows battery damaged and will not allow drone to fly, even though battery is 100%!!!
It's a RECHARGEABLE battery!!!
Must buy new battery at AUD100!!!😱😠
This is a scam by FIMI to sell expensive batteries.
Many emails sent to FIMI, no technical reason given, no replacement, they just say, "battery is damaged" it is not though, it is a deliberate software "bug" I did a capacity test and got the rated 4500 mA hrs from it.
Cheaper to buy DJI if this is the case.
I have many Xiaomi products (parent to FIMI) but no more, this is outrageous. What if phone or vacuum or any device discharges? Throw it away? Of course not. Just plug in and recharge.

If I could give a zero star I would, do not purchase anything from Fimi or Banggood they are untrustworthy, I once tried purchasing the Fimi X8SE drone from their official website Fimi Australia and they accepted my payment without sending confirmation, I contacted them 2 weeks later just to give them the benefit of doubt and they replied stating that they have nothing in stock and were going to give back my refund, 5 days past and I hadn't not seen my refund so I contacted them again and they did not answer, I tried to contact them again and still no answer instead I got this scammer call which was automated stating that the goods I purchased were picked up by customs so I hung up and got my bank to dispute the purchase which worked out, never trust these people.

Not trust company banggood

Please for your own safety don't trust banggood if you buy with PayPal just don't close the dispute because banggood not trusty company they sent me item from CZ EU not ask to send to uk to return banggood don't have warehouse in uk but they do some dodgy business over there and they said will refund me but I have to pay the uk customs fees don't ever trust them, 100% my dispute with PayPal will in my favour but will be my last time I will buy from them.

WORSE THAN NONEXISTENT ASSISTANCE

After 3 flight sessions (one hour and 20 minutes) without crashing or any shock, the gimbal of the Fimi X8 SE 2000 broke down. When the drone roll to the right even a few degrees, the gimbal stops working, then after a few seconds it realigns.
I contacted FIMI support, there were about ten emails, I sent videos and screenshots from the APP, then they asked me for photos of all sides of the drone, then videos in flight, then the black box. Their engineer ruled that: that at 17:47 on January 17, 2021, the drone flew in the woods, and finally there was a rollover machine.
At 17:47, before starting the flight activity, I did the compass calibration, as required when changing the flight zone. I guess this may have misled FIMI engineer who spotted a machine rollover.
Nothing helped to send the videos shot a few minutes after 5:47 pm when the gimbal worked perfectly. In fact the problem started the next day.
Not even help propose to send them the drone, and undertake to pay for the repair, if inspecting the drone reveals signs of a collision.
Assistance nonexistent, only chatter to avoid responsibility e
the annoying attitude of not answering direct questions, but changing the subject. The facts and evidence presented are not considered in the least.
What should have been an after-sales service proved to be just a big waste of time. It would be better for FIMI to declare that it does not want to be responsible for manufacturing defects, at least they would avoid wasting people's time
Denying any evidence, FIMI replies that "there was a rollover machine, which may be a collision, caused by the tree. This is the responsibility of the customer, and we cannot provide free after-sales service.

Disgusting attention to customer…

Disgusting attention to customer service. Supplied a faulty Fimi Palm that would not charge and will not replace without my return of the original by tracked post (not DHL, Fedex etc). Cost to me would be €55 and a delivery expectation of up to 6 to 8 weeks to China with no comment as to whether this cost would be returned. Also the word "repair" was mentioned continually in communication with customer service. Surely if a brand new device does not work from day one, nothing short of a new one should be expected but with Fimi this does not appear to be the case. If I had a chance to test the Palm then it may have been a really good product but given the above that was not possible.

If like me you have a serious problem with the device then expect no sympathy or assistance from the robots in customer services who simply quote the company mantra. So here I am €160 worse off with a lump of rubbish that does not work, that will not be replaced despite constant pleading, sorry I forgot, could pay an additional€55 to send it back to China and still not get a new one.

In the long term, spend a little more on the DJI Osmo and learn from my mistake! I will certainly never but from Fimi again. I guess they don't care, they have my money and I have a pile of crap.

Great company, X8 SE 2020 is amazing

I had Fimi A3 Drone for about a year and never had any issues with that. Great quality drone. Then I sold it and bought X8 SE 2020 which on my 4th flight crashed, so I contacted FIMI and they asked me to send them drone back and if its drone faulty they will send me a new one with one battery as compesation for shipping. And I did that, so they have checked drone black box and send me a new drone and battery. So far(after 3 months) I had 0 problems and all I can say is that drone is amazing, you cant get anything better for this price, also their customer care is really good. Drone had some minor issues, but they have fixed it all with firmware updates. They are cooperative and I defninitely recommend their products.

Avoid Fimi x8 se 2020 Drone!!!!

So bought this piece of crap months ago. Upon arrival the drone was defective, the gimbal was not responding or calibrating. Contacted fimi but all words and no fix. Ended up dismantling the drone and reassembled it and seemed to fix the problem but after 2 months the same problem reappeared and can't understand why. So now i will fly the drone deep into the sea and drown it on purpose because its useless to try and fix it. Its a money pit, the worst buy i ever made. Will never buy fimi again.

Fimi X8 SE 2020 Drone drowned...

Bought the Fimi X8 SE 2020 Drone from "AliExpress"
Purchase Date: July 2020

(Broken due to a software bug after 2 weeks of use !)

The first impression was "okay for the price". The disadvantages and other problems came later. 1. The horizon is crooked in every video. (Updates did not solve the problem either) It is obviously due to the cheap camera - gimbal components that are installed. 2. Photo quality is consistently poor in all settings. Video in normal mode is okay under "optimal conditions". HDR is fake. 3. Frequent software updates in July caused malfunctions! My drone displayed warning messages about strong vibrations after the last update. The drone then independently initiated an emergency landing and drowned into the sea on the beach (...) Complaint at the Fimi online shop has not worked so far and I was referred to "Fimi After Sale Support". He has not responded so far and ignored my complaint (...)
