Sadly they use lairs DPD to make fake deliveries. Delivery was due Friday for a party on Saturday. I was in all day and the DPD driver George claimed I was not home! You would think due to their lies they would make an effort to make a Saturday delivery, would you not??? DPD sent a photo and claim parcel was delivered on Monday. Seem to be dumped in a gateway somewhere! No doubt they like feeding foxes?

If I could give them zero stars I would, bought king crab legs from them and once defrosted they were inedible, asked for refund , sent pictures etc, customer service stated because they look as they should on photo they are fine and won't be refunded. customer service however was not in my kitchen to taste it so how does she know its fine. I would avoid this company

Excellent customer service

Ordered mushrooms. Had terrible experience with DPD not delivering the fresh goods on nominated day. Was promised by DPD it would get delivered next day. Next day as i found out the parcel never left depot. Contacted the supplier Fine Food Specialist and received excellent customer service. I was assured that a new package will be sent and next day i received it. Absolutely brilliant customer service and management. Will definitely buy again and recommend others. Thank you

My advice AVOID this company

Firstly, their website did not accept the intro 10% discount voucher that Fine Food Specialist actually sent me (I tried both typing it & then copying & pasting it) & then to make it worse, I e-mailed their customer service to tell them about it to be completely ignored. I should have looked at their reviews previously as they are pretty bad with multiple other people complaining about their lack of customer service ie just not replying to e-mails sent. My advice AVOID this company

Disappointing service and poor communication

I ordered two Wagyu steaks on 31st July but accidentally entered the wrong delivery address. The order (due 5th August) didn’t arrive. I emailed on 6th and 8th August—only got one brief reply, then silence. On 11th August I received a DPD notification, then an email from Tom saying the address was updated and they’d resend the order after opening the original box.

Tried calling twice that day—both times cut off after 3 minutes on hold. While the delivery issue began with my mistake, the slow responses, lack of updates, and unreachable phone line made the situation far worse. Past orders were fine, but after this I’m unlikely to order again.

Edible flowers

The edible flowers I purchased were all squashed into the plastic tub and were all bent and some parts broken off. Wouldn't buy again.

Never again

Never again! Ordered a fresh white truffle. The truffle arrived rotten! Even stated grams were not correct (just 8 grams). Asked for my money back, no response for now.

Flawless experiences so far

Flawless experiences so far.

Was recommended them by a friend specifically for their wagyu options, so bought a variety of those at first. They arrived exactly when expected, well packaged and still frozen, and once defrosted & cooked were obviously of a high quality.

A further order of seafood was similarly successful, considerably larger order including both fresh and frozen items arrived just as well packaged and everything was perfect.

An observation for anyone considering ordering - many negative reviews mention delivery. If you have trouble with DPD in your area or to your address then maybe try alternative options, personally DPD have been great for me and therefore had no issues with delivery.

What a time to be alive

I rate this company pretty highly. We live in a great time where we can order A5 Wagyu and other delicacies and have them show up at our house in a reasonable time-frame and well packed etc. Never had any problems and many of the foods are as good as I've had them in top-tier restaurants.

Foie gras and truffle : 1/5

I ordered a fresh duck foie gras and a 30g black truffle from Périgord.
What a disappointment …
The fresh duck foie gras was frozen, very bad quality with bruises and blood everywhere. And the 30g black truffle was finally 15g and didn’t have any taste at all. Used it for pasta and truffle foie gras but not taste at all. TO AVOID

I bought a Yakinaki as i've always…

I bought a Yakinaki as i've always wanted one like James Martin! What the website doesn't tell you is that it is too small to put any meaningful very expensive Japanese coal in and you can't light the fire in there... so you have to purchase a bbq kettle... pour them in and then have 15 minutes of low heat.... I asked to return and was left waiting 3 weeks and still not told how to return just that I should try and buy a kettle and use that then to message again if I still want to return.... The item then completely fell apart when I tried to clean with hot water as it is not ceramic it is potters clay.... I messaged over 2 weeks ago and still not a response... customer service and returns policy is so bad I won't be using again and it's a shame the sashimi scallops are lovely!

Top quality, quick shipping and Tom was super helpful

I'm not one to leave reviews, but I don't get all these bad reviews on here and it annoys me how misrepresented this company is based on them.

I placed 2 orders after seeing these guys mentioned on SortedFood (youtube), had some things that had to be sorted with one of the orders and Tom was super quick to reply and arrange everything. Spot on from a customer service point of view. Packaging was great. Quality of products was great. Price is super fair. Some comments here complained that the wagyu steaks were under the advertised weight so out of curiosity I weighed mine and it was 575g (advertised 500g). Even if it was a bit under, it's a steak that is cut by hand by a butcher so of course it can have some variation. Go weigh your Sainsbury's steak I bet it won't always be 240g on the dot, sometimes more and sometimes less.

In any case, rant over, I'll definitely be ordering again.
