Seems to work fine, nice coal effect, but spoilt by plastic gold colored trim rather than a proper brass front piece.

Nice looking and built in fan heater works well warming the room in minutes. The coal effect is pleasing to look at and the “flames” look good giving the room a warm atmosphere. Down sides : The heater is in the top giving no room for smaller dimensions to the fireplace. The air intake is on the rear and means the air is fed through the chimney leaving a through passage of cold air in windy weather. “Brass” fire basket looks good but is actually plastic unlike the replaced gas fire. Overall, very pleased.

Really pleased. Bought to replace a gas fire and works very well. Quieter than many similar heaters. Very attractive coal/flame effect.

It looks classy and suits the fireplace perfectly. It was bought as a back up for the central heating.
