Firstcard helps everyone build credit no matter who they are, where they are from, or their credit history. Firstcard primarily focuses on serving immigrants, non-US citizens, international students, first-generation college students, and underserved low-credit communities in the US who are often denied credit due to the limited access to credit-building tools provided by traditional banks. Members can build credit, open a credit card and a bank account, earn cashback, and grow savings — all within a single platform. Firstcard is on a mission to democratize credit for all.

Issues and terrible customer service

Getting signed up for the card and starting out went well but I would recommend using another company to get a credit card with or do a secured credit card if you have bad credit.
I made a payment by mistake with the wrong card and it didn’t go through so I made another payment with a different card and the payment went through…but they put a temporary restriction/hold on my card and did not notify me. I noticed my available balance not changing after making 2 payments and had to call to find out about the temporary restriction. They would not lift it, said I had to print my bank statements and send and fax that to them, go through a very lengthy process to get this corrected when there was no fraud or anything…I found it interesting how they put a restriction on my card w/ out notification but had no problem taking my payments. I received no further help in getting this issue corrected so I’m expected to keep making payments with no guarantee my available balance will update.

First card credit card is supposed to build credit not to ruin the credit score.

My credit score dropped 26 points after using it for a while and then they closed my account because they're out of business.

The worst company ever, stay away from their partners and them

I strongly caution anyone considering using Firstcard. My account was suddenly closed without any prior notice or explanation. I was not contacted beforehand, and I received no clear reason for the closure. Since then, I have been unable to access the funds that were in my account. I hope the company addresses this situation and improves their communication and customer service, but based on my experience, I cannot recommend this service.

I’m very disappointed with how my Firstcard account was handled. I paid a monthly subscription to build my credit, and after three months my account was closed without any explanation. My credit score is still zero.

This situation is frustrating, I realized that I could easily open a traditional secured credit card and that companies like FirstCard were just an unnecessary subscription. So I’ve now opened a real credit card account but I have to wait 3-6 months to get a score because of lost time with you.

I also don't know where the $500 that was in my account went. Customer support isn't responding, and the money has disappeared. Be very careful.

First card Has Taken 144 dollars out of a unused account for a subscription fee that was not authorized !

First card Has Taken 144 dollars out of my account due to fraudulent activity .Through my cash app account.I had no money in my cash app account ,but they were able to get the money from another linked account.I been out of work for a year due to a injury So money is tight now. When I reported this to first card it was told to me by Gina the funds were not refundable. So I suppose fraudulent doesn't count .This company is using people with bad
circumstances and taken advantage of there situation. They will be going to court I know what I have to do .DO NoT use this company they are not honest. Please be aware.

DO NOT USE

DO NOT USE. FUNDS LOCKED WITH NO TIMELINE FOR RESOLUTION.

I've had an incredibly frustrating experience with this app due to its non-existent customer service. Despite sending multiple emails and several in-app requests for support, I haven't received any response for over a week. What’s even more concerning is that my funds are currently locked within the app with no resolution in sight. This lack of communication and support is unacceptable, especially when it involves financial matters. I sincerely hope Firstcard this matter soon, as this has greatly affected my trust in the app.

This card isn't bad for a start

This card isn't bad for a start. What definitely needs to be improved:
the top-up limit of $500 in three business days is too low and takes too long.
Access to the credit score still doesn't work.
The monthly spending limit of $1,000 to $2,000 needs to be increased.

Hi Alex,

Thank you for sharing your feedback. The $500 top-up limit applies only to certain ACH transfers. If you use your Firstcard account and routing number from your external bank, or send a wire, you can deposit up to $10,000.

Regarding spending, we don’t have a fixed monthly limit. Instead, there’s currently a daily limit of $2,000 and a single transaction limit of $1,000.

As for credit score access, our team is working on improving this experience so you’ll be able to view it more smoothly in the app now.

Thank you for your feedback!
