I have home emergency insurance. There was a blockage in the manhole. Our insurance company sent Phil from First 4 drains to resolve the issue.

The problem was resolved in no time. Phil was very good. He explained what had happened .He was very thorough and left me completely satisfied.
Would highly recommend this company to our friends and family members.

Had Ben Matthew’s at our house the other day to unblock some drains. He walked me through the whole process and got everything up and running again very nice lad.

Paul came out at short notice on a Sunday to fix a leak under the sink. Lovely guy, great communication and sorted the problem in no time with no fuss- would definitely recommend!

Paul C arrived at my property within 1hr of being called which was great considering it was 2am!!. Had quite a stubborn blockage but Paul tried multiple tools and CCTV checks...he didnt give up and managed to clear. Great service ...also gave some advice and will report/escalate a repair needed. 100% Would recommend

I would like to say a huge thank you to First 4 Drains Ltd for their outstanding service. After a frustrating experience with another company that couldn’t fix the problem, I contacted First 4 Drains — and they truly delivered.

Paul Clarke, who handled the job, was absolutely fantastic. He managed to sort out my completely blocked main drain pipe on the very first day. His professionalism, expertise, and dedication were clear from the start. Paul was extremely thorough, efficient, and friendly throughout the process, and I’m incredibly grateful for the excellent job he did.

This business called me to unblock a drain at an Aldi in New Milton because they did not have an engineer to cover the area and refused to pay me the agreed rates, even though it was agreed in writing in an email, forcing me to have to take them to court for the money. These people are an outright scam. AVOID

Avoid this company they are useless.Asked for a full survey of the soak away and connected pipe work.To check for leaks and that the system worked satisfactory.They came and did a survey with a camera.It has been six weeks and have yet to receive the report despite many phone calls and emails.I was charged £300 in advance for this .Disgusting service

They advertise 24/7 but only have skeleton staff at the weekend and nobody comes back to you. Paid for them to unblock the drain - they did half a job. Made me pay for a camera survey which would never work in a blocked drain - apparently cameras can't see in dirty water! Took them three days to come out to us. Refused to refund the money - a very unpleasant man called "Bob" says they don't do refunds .... ever! Don't waste your money. There are much more professional companies out there.

AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS.

Absolute RIP off.
Never again, the add is misleading and says £80 for septic tank removal with not hidden costs.
I called to get booked in and suddenly its £150 for a 1000 gallons. I stated what's online and was told this is wrong and needs up dating. As I needed the job done I reluctantly went along with it.
The guy who did the job was elderly and clearly struggling by himself. When he finished he left a big pile of black junk on my drive from one of his pipes, as I felt sorry for him I didnt complain. I cleaned it up.
Then when I was billed, suddenly it went from £150 to £300 plus vat.
I asked how did you manage to charge me double???
The answer was its £150 for a 1000 gallons with a minimum charge for 2000 gallons.
This clearly wasn't stated in there web page or shared with me when making a booking.
18 months ago I had the same septic tank emptied for £100 all inclusive. First 4 drains are Complete liars and robbing.

Guess i should have read the reviews first!

Christmas was around the corner and i needed a drain unblocked… the cost of £210 (inc VAT) for an hour which i had to pay up front. This should have rung alarm bells but pressure of the season etc. in case you are wondering, that’s not out of hours rates, that’s 9-5 rates!

Despite paying the hefty price up front, no one turned up for the appointment. I called and they said they would be in touch. They weren’t so i called the next day and rebooked. They turned up when i was out but my wife was in with a one week old baby. Engineer called me to say that he’d given the problem a quick plunge and all was clear. My wife was unable to check as she was breastfeeding but i took his word for it and he was off. £210 for 7 mins work… not ideal but fair enough if he’d fixed the problem. He hadn’t.

As soon as i got home and ran the shower it backed up so literally nothing had been done. I called and was told i’d be called back. I wasn’t. I called again the next morning (now Christmas eve) and was told to email and they’d be in touch. I emailed and heard nothing.

I called in the early afternoon and was informed i was speaking to the owner. Echoing Roo’s comments below, he’s aggressive and completely unprofessional. Basically inferred it was my problem as problems can reoccur. I guess that is fair enough but the issue here wasn’t reoccurrence, it was simply that it had never been fixed but he was not interested in hearing that.

Long story short, he stance was basically that if i called back in a few days, we could talk about it but that ultimately he wouldn’t answer the phone if he didn’t feel like it. Wished him a happy Christmas and left it at that. As the previous reviewer said, i’d rather write the cash off to bad experience than ever have to deal with this man or his business again.

Rip off prices, non-existent customer service and ultimately a complete failure to unblock a shower drain!

Phillip from First4Drains came to replace the pipe which leads from our kitchen sink to outside. We have had problems with the drainage for 4 years, so are so relieved to have a perfectly working sink! He replaced the piping under our floorboards with larger pipes and did a great job. Many thanks to the team also - great customer service always replying to emails on the same day.
