Writing another review because only way to not be ignored (last one I was told it would be looked at further but nothing happened)
Did mine 28th Feb, sent all details and ignored. My service costs keep increasing now at £1600 a year, yet they can’t show full use of the funds or how the reserve costs for last year were used. I have service issues that have been ignored by property manager since November last year. But payment is always quick to be demanded.
I have made requests that they should statutorily comply with and again ignored totally. Very frustrating and surely not legal as the service is not being fully provided. Just one example of many issues, my assigned parking space has a skip on it as they said they need to do works on a boundary wall. The bricks etc are still there a year later and now people have tipped their rubbish on there. Oh and the work for that wall was included in last years bill (clearly not done) and alas for this year … planned boundary wall works included in the charges.

My development Manager Rita at Hillcroft Court is an amazing Manager.
Rita managers the building exceptionally well and informs the residents at all times.
Rita also motivates the residents by bringing them together for social events this goes above her job description.
All residents adore Rita as she is very approachable and inclusive.

After numerous contact, emails, phone calls, website forms, I am still receiving correspondence. I don’t live there anymore. I moved 14 months ago. I asked for my portal to my closed and all my information removed. I am still able to sign in and there are letters on there addressed to me even as of this month. I don’t know what else I can do. I don’t owe you the money on the account.. I don’t live there!
Also terrible company when I did actually live there I wouldn’t recommend anyone moves to a FirstPort property.

A welcoming environment with excellent management at a personal level.
All apartments benefit from well maintained common areas and building maintenance.
A good location with easy access to transport links and local amenities.

Kane was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. 5***** for him,
Company however is a bit lacking
Automated service music sounds like static underwater and very annoying.
No real confirmation of payment being made just saying payments can take up to 3 days
No payment email option
Had to call back to check and they still can’t see if payment gone through. I feel sorry for the staff

It was amazing and very impressive! My friends with their 3 kids enjoyed it thoroughly. They also said it’s been the best easter hunt they have done. Thank you so much for all your effort!!

Absolutely awful.
This company should be ashamed of themselves, the way they treat people is disgusting, its like we do not exist and we have a never ending amount of funds to keep paying for their 'increasing costs' that can never be explained. I have lived in my property for four years and continuously battle with this company. Thieves and liars.

Despite the disappointing weather the First Port Management Company through Rhys, Jan and all their helpers set up a Scavenger Hunt at Royal Earlswood Mews that was loved by all.
Our Grandchildren, who had lots of fun, were very excited to attend.
Thanks to Rhys, Jan and all who helped in setting it up and then having to clear away afterwards. Their efforts are much appreciated.

I’ve just had an overnight stay at 6 Sawyers Court Shenfield, visiting my mother. It was my first overnight visit and I was pleasantly surprised and the room exceeded my expectations. Little details I wasn’t expecting like a radio and tea and coffee. The room was very clean. Instructions for working the heater and the shower were clear. Lots of plugs, hairdryer and space for hanging clothes. It was also very reasonably priced.

Increasing costs and declining service quality
I've been a resident in an estate managed by FirstPort for several years, and my experience has become increasingly disappointing. Over the past three years, our service charges have risen significantly — close to triple what they used to be — without any noticeable improvement in maintenance or service standards.
There are frequent periods where maintenance staff appear inactive on-site, and basic areas like the playgrounds and communal spaces are not being kept to the standard we would expect given the costs. As a resident, it’s hard to see how the growing expenses are reflected in the quality of work or upkeep.
Overall, I find the management poor value for money and would encourage anyone considering this company to carefully review cost transparency and performance before committing.

The manager Everaldo is always very friendly, welcoming, approachable whilst maintaining professional boundaries. His experience of managing Emerald Court shows in his knowledge and interest in his residents and in the management of the building. He cares a lot for his residents especially those who need more support and is always willing to help even when this is not part of his role as the people who live there are supposed to be independent in all aspect of their own care. He offers a listening ear and a friendly face to those in need and he is a valuable asset to all the residents in Emerald Court.

My mother, Brenda, lived at Balcon Court for a number of years before sadly passing away last year.
Both during my mother's time there and throughout the subsequent sale of her flat, Jean Hassall — the Development Manager — has been absolutely outstanding. She was proactive, professional, and genuinely kind at every step. Selling a retirement flat comes with its own complexities, and Jean has guided and been there for us through all of it. She went well beyond anything we could have asked for.
We'd also like to mention the residents at Balcon Court, whose kindness has been really touching. Together with Jean, they have created a lovely little community there, and that doesn't happen by accident.
Jean is a star. Our family cannot thank her enough.

They sent thought the bill for 2026 but it was titled 01/01/25 - 31/12/20026 (whenever that is) so 2 mistakes in there.
The main charges in the bill (94%) are for ‘management fees’ and ‘grounds maintenance’. There is no explanation as the the individual costs which add up to 27k of management fees but with the fact that 26k is charged for the grounds maintenance that they hardly ever do I’d suggest the management fees are simply made up.
Last year the also added a late payment charge 2 weeks after sending the bill which was an additional 50% with the usual threat of bailiffs if unpaid in 7 days.
Absolute sheisters!!!!!
