Kez made it all so special for our visits, ask a question she's got the answer in detail, very enthusiastic about the fish and plants, she recommends what plants are suitable for your needs, as with the fish happy to discuss different tempraments different fish have, even down to the various benifitial filters, so if in doubt go for help and advice at maidenhead aquatics.
We were at the Winnersh store.

This review is for Julie who works at Melville Edinburgh. She is a wonderful person who is always pleasant and extremely helpful to customers She went to great lengths to figure out how to fit my LED lighting to my old style canopy on my Fluval Roma tank. A great feat accomplished, and I now enjoy the new lighting in my fish tank all thanks to Julie.

Went to Haven't ,the store has a good selection, shame the staff don't want to serve customers, I asked for some fish and the staff member said that he would come and do them after he had finished with a customer, he the served 3 others and after 15 minutes I gave up, POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE

Just been and collected some fish from Pyle, south wales. Was helped by a lovely lady, who stopped half way through her break ( eating a chocolate bar ) and helped us pick new fish. Same as before, brilliant service and helpful advice. Thanks guys.
I bought some crabs purple vampire crabs for Maidenhead quakes. They died within a day or two when you contact them. The customer service is really bad and don’t care about the customer you tell him the situation and I just tried to calm you off. I have made a complaint today at office, they don’t get back to you, I have phoned Basingstoke shop keep on blaming me for this incident. I had crabs from other people and companies and I have survived go to Maidenhead. Aquatics bought 3 purple, vampire crabs and a die in two days or less. I have done several water test as I have the water testing kit. I’ve sent pictures to them of the crabs and the testing kit and the testers were dipping the water they’re not interested. They keep blaming me but it’s not me it’s the water for maidenhead Aquatics, as soon as I put the water in the crab started to die.
Purchased a 110 litre aquarium from Maidenhead Aquatics based at Tong Garden Centre Leeds, which was on offer at a great price, only downside the gentleman sold me a heater that wouldn't fit in the section next to the filter. I did query the length of the heater as the packaging seemed too long but I was assured it would fit but once home it was clearly apparent that it was too long. After a couple of weeks whilst cycling the tank the said heater was also too erratic in temperature so we purchased a new one from Amazon. The cost of imitation plants and ornaments was also expensive but we had the choice to go elsewhere but didn't so thats on us. We are now looking at purchasing 2 x large Fluval tanks and would consider them again depending if they are competitive on pricing.
Having now been a few times whist trying to sort out a new setup, Jenson from the Swindon store spent time helping go through filter pump options and offering some sound advice. On another visit, his experience saved us (and the fish) a whole heap of stress by helping advise on compatible fish for the aquarium. Really helpful and felt confident in the advice given. Very happy, will definitely recommend and be back.
I visited the store in Pyle yesterday. I was setved by a very friendly and proffesional young lady. It is rare to find good customer service, so well done.
I visited Fishkeeper Melville, Lasswade on 07 Dec 2024. I was buying my first lot of fish for my new tank. Louisa was very knowledgeable and helped me decide which fish were best to buy. She took her time to give me advice and information. The fish I chose are happy and healthy and I am looking forward to going back in a couple of weeks for a couple more.
Great aquatic store with loads of fish and supplies. Great service and very enjoyable visit.
Ramsgate store is not great for customer service at all.

UPDATE. David as been in contact to apologise and inform me that all my issues are going to be dealt with. So if anyone shops there please pop outside and see that the pond plant area is well maintained aswell as the indoors.
The store in Burton Latimer. So I went in to buy some pond plants and the inter store looked great but when we went outside to where plants are kept I was SHOCKED at how horrid the outside looked with bags to put fish and plants in submerged in water on the table, plants on there sides in the water in awful condition. Blanket weed was overtaking the lily pad plants so after searching for the best plants I went to till where 2 workers were standing nattering. One started to ring up my plants then said did you get them from center pond I said yes she said they are display I said well I wasn't to know and they have tags on with price she said that's so I know what they are and I will sell them this time. She was rude and I was not aware as I did not see any signage to inform me these were not for sale also these were the best looking plants so if you kept the others in better condition then there wouldn't be a problem. I emailed the company to a manager to inform them but got email back from Harri who basically just wrote things to defend the shop like they were short staffed and there was sign up and it is the time of year for plants to look bad well I'm sorry but if you got nice plants on display then you can have nice plants to sell to public also short staffed is a lie there was 2 on so 1 could of spent a hour outside tidying up. When this was Seasons petshop it had nice pond plants and fish outside and it was tidy but since Maidenhead took over its shockingly bad outside they clearly just focus on inside trade.

very expensive for the fish, usual price ends in the aged 99pence syndrome.

Went to the Somerford branch and was rudely dismissed by a female member of staff that thought the sun shone from that area we do not mention here on trustpilot I won’t go back there ever ever ever again. The reason I have two stars is I went to their Wimborne branch where the staff were helpful and professional who should get a minimum of four ( the shop is a bit tatty not the staffs fault) and I would use them again

When I bought a duckweed treatment product 17/6/23 the salesman John said if it doesn't work bring it back with the receipt and we will refund you. It didn't work so today I took the remainder and receipt back for my refund, the assistant just laughed and said they couldn't take it back as I had used some, he also called me a liar for relating what John had told me.
