I HAD used this company for many years t communicate with friends in Africa,I was informed about a year ago that it had been "taken over" by CLX nothing would change,NOT ACCURATE I continued to use Fishtext for almost another year with NO PROBLEMS but in early September 2018 I lost all contact with anything from Fishtext all I then saw was a very sophisticated web site From CLX who had RETAINED ALL my Fishtext CREDIT I have applied for a REFUND I am still waiting.

Does fishtext exist as an honest and viable communications platform, or is it a scam? My experience has lead me to believe that it takes your money, provides an intermittent service in the first instance, and then the provision of said service deteriorates to the point where it charges you for texts which it does not deliver. Constant reports to customer help are ignored. Although I am £15 in credit, I have no form of redress to correct the sh-t service or to have the money which I have in credit, refunded. Fishtext remind me of the old saying, " That If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is " ! I wouldn't touch them with your bargepole let alone mine. Trustpilot allows you a minimum score of 1 Star and this deprives me of the opportunity of giving zilch.

only 50% of texts get through

I have twice used their Support contact form to request they investigate why texts to a UK number are never received. Both times I have received a message to say the Support EMail address doesn't exist, so if I could have given no stars out of five for customer support, then I would have done. I have lost faith in this company and will not be renewing with them.

As I am an expatriate I naturally write many messages to my family who live all over the globe. With my normal phone provider that can get very costly. Thus I am so glad for Fishtext - I have bought 5 Euro at first and they have now lasted for 3 1/2 months of messaging. It is easy to install with WebSms (a free Android add-on). I am absolutely happy with this service.
