I bought a "powerstroke pruning pole"…

I bought a "powerstroke pruning pole" and the blade broke right off 2nd time I used it. Lifetime warranty is crap.
They'll replace the head but I have to send the broken one to them at my expense. Great concept, poor quality.
Don't buy their products.

FISKARS REEL MOWER

What happened to fiskars? They used to make and sell decent quality cutting tools with an outstanding warranty. Starting about 12 years ago, that turned into: they sell crap cutting tools with that same outstanding warranty. Which was kinda cool, until the consumers realized, wait, all I'm buying is a lifetime warranted piece of crap. And they were happy to exchange ur broken piece of crap of theirs for a brand new piece of crap of theirs. Now, they sell crap tools and scrutinize HEAVILY on all of their crap tools for warranty purposes, and also NOT warranty purposes( I asked them for a catalogue or parts list to buy parts for their reel mower this review is ultimately for, only to be ignored for 3 months then when a not even applicable response came!). The reel mower I have was my late father's and I wanted to keep it functional cuz it had sentimental value since my father's passing. Only the thing sucks by design: absolutely NEEDS a chain tensioner to keep chain on. After their unhelpful response, I just ended up fabricating a chain tensioner after which I swore to BOYCOTT this company that once upon a time did REPUTABLE and RESPECTABLE business. I have spent more $ than I care to allude to here on their constantly slipping quality products over the course of the last 23 years( hundreds of pairs of their trimming scissors, hedgers, loppers, etc). Its been a steady decline in the time I've been buying their crap, it wasn't til their handling of this situation with maintaining this mower that had sentimental value( as its 1 of the VERY few things I have that was my dad's. I included all this in the original email I sent fiskars "customer service" dept).
They must be making a killing of the profits cuz the materials used for their crap products is always declining. Because it was my dad's mower, I dont want to see let alone point out the many flaws on this mower. So I will just close this review URGING consumers to find BETTER alternatives to purchasing ANYTHING fiskars sells. But if u do choose to do business with them, just know that u are paying a premium price for a substandard tool that may come with a warranty, but also remember that the broken piece of crap u are exercising the warranty on, will be: u guessed it: replaced with the same piece of crap which will break again soon. That's the day and age were in: companies don't care about customer satisfaction , just as long as they get ur business once, they could care less about "return business". With population what it is, they dont have to worry about whether consumers are happy or not. All I know is I'll NEVER purchase, use( even after fabricating the chain tensioner for the mower:I retired it to the garage indefinitely) any of fiskars products, and anybody that has an ear to listen: u can pretty much bet I'll be steering as much business as I can AWAY from fiskars products.

A total scam. They take orders but don't deliver.

ordered a set of tools from Fiskars online Australia in early January 2026. I received confirmation of the order and notification that it was shipped 19 January. It's 1 April and I'm still waiting, having received no updates. I'm unable to contact their Australian outlet as their site is forbidden by my browser and brings up a danger-phishing notice. After initially showing some tracking information from one of the links on the dispatch email, now there's no record of the shipment from the shipping site. I can only conclude that what once appeared to be a reputable company has gone down the toilet, scamming customers on the way.

Fiskars - Lifetime Warranty Not Honored

On its website Fiskars advertises a lifetime warranty on its tools. I purchased a Fiskars 6-inch aluminum hand tiller and one of the 3 tines broke off while weeding in clay soil. I contacted Fiskars to request a replacement under the lifetime warranty. I attached photos of the broken tool. Fiskars said that they would replace the tool, but only if I mailed the broken tool to them at my cost, which would be more than the tool is worth. Very disappointed that the warranty is not being honored.

Unusable garden pruner

I purchased a new P541 pruner today and tested it straight out of the package. It is blunt and unable to make clean cut at stems of fresh daisy and thin willow branch. The pruner cannot cut through the fibers. I tried different angles, under/above water at the tip, middle or by the hinge of the pruner. None worked. My 8 year-old pruner cuts better than this brand new P541. I am truly disappointed on the functionality and quality.

FISKARS Products and Customer Service

I have used Fiskars products for years. Have a half-dozen items. Well-made. Durable. Dependable. A few years ago had a small issue with product. Quickly resolved. More recently a problem with a Fiskars Extended Pole Tree Pruner. Contacted the company. They responded within 48 hours. Needed more info. I sent it in via email. In a few days, again-- Fiskars resolved and fixed. Sometimes you have to be patient. My experience, great customer service. Would easily buy more Fiskars products.

Cheap Junk

Bought a Fiskars pruner and it broke right out of the box. I contacted them about their warranty and they said to mail the item back insured. It would have cost me more than the purchase price to mail it back. My best description of Fiskars products would be “cheap junk”.

No Longer a Fiskars Fan or Customer

I have been a longtime customer of Fiskars and recently had a planting trowel fail. It literally had a piece that broke off. Like many other reviewers on Trustpilot I experienced a customer service department that was more about avoiding living up to the warranty than taking reasonable steps to keep a customer. Long response times, requests for additional pictures and documents, and then the requirement that I send the trowel in for them to review the damage. Again, it is a system designed to avoid responsibility. As I said to them, I am now the wiser and will be avoiding their products and they can of course keep the 10 bucks it would have cost them to live up to their lifetime warranty.

CAUTIO N: Fiskars Warranty is Not a ral warranty

rough time with Fiskars. Dealing with a "lifetime warranty" that costs as much as a new tool just to ship is incredibly frustrating.

We contacted Fiskars through their claim email for a claim on their lifetime warranty after only owning their products for 3 months. They sent several emails making us jump through hoops, including detailed pictures which would be evaluated by the warranty department. We waited 2 weeks for them to say they would replace the defective equipment, but I would need to pay for the shipping, which was as much as the loppers cost.
THIS LIFETIME WARRANTY IS A SCAM AND THEY HAVE NO INTENTION OF HONORING IT, IN MY OPINION."

Fiskars warranty is junk

The splitting axe is chipped in several spots and they will not honor their lifetime warranty. Very dismissive and rude on emails, expect customer to pay to ship back the axe for proof of purchase despite sending several requested pictures of the axe to them. Shipping would have cost me over $100 on UPS to send back a $65 axe. How does that make sense. Only respond via email, could not be more disappointed in this company. Do not buy from them if you expect them to stand by their products.

They don’t deserve even one star

I’m only disappointed that I had to write one star to leave a comment. These guys don’t deserve a star. Ordered two items for Christmas. Advised on website stock available order complete completed and stock was being packed, two weeks later when I follow up I’m advised one item is not available. No explanation no sorry no alternative simply we will refund you in through business working days. Well that’s fantastic but not for my friend I was sending it down to interstate.
Five working days now till Christmas and don’t I look silly. This company could improve communication, at least empathise or apologise and at a minimum offer an alternative.

Poor Quality, NO Customer Service

Bought the Power Tooth folding saw, handle broke after a month, took it back to store. Even though it says "Lifetime Warranty" this is BS. The store said to contact Fiskars, so I called the number on the package. Got a recording to go to website. Website says 6 to 7 weeks to process claim. I feel that I have been sold poor quality junk made you know where by a company that doesn't care about its customers and I need the tool now. I would give zero stars if it was an option.

I bought a fiskars x7 axe for chopping…

A new replacement was sent out by the retailer so all good now.

I bought a fiskars x7 axe for chopping kindling. I used it once chopping 7 pieces of kiln dried wood and there was a large chip missing out of the blade. Fiskars uk told me the first 12 months warranty was covered by the seller who has ignored my emails and there is nothing further they can help with. So much for their lifetime warranty.

Unresponsive to emails regarding claim

Unresponsive to emails regarding customer claim.
Their system sent an auto generated response saying allow for "up to 7 weeks".
I email 5 weeks after submission asking for an update - no response.
It has now been 7 weeks and 5 days since my submission, and I have received no update, response or resolution to my claim.

There was a recall on my trimmer and they said 12 weeks for replacement. That was in April. I can’t get them to respond to my inquiries and it is now over 7 months. I like their products but not sure they are standing behind their policies by ghosting me on a recalled product. Claim number 00910234

No Warranty from Fiskar!

I submitted a warranty claim for lawn scissors over 7 weeks ago on approximately 10/1/25. I have inquired twice and never received a response. I don't believe they plan to honor their warranty as they do not respond. This is terrible customer service. I won't buy from them again.

BEAWARE of their warranty

BEAWARE of their warranty. First it took them 8 weeks to respond to my claim. Then they expect you to ship their defective product at your cost which is likely more than the product itself. Their lifetime warranty is useless. I am glad that I purchased my at Costco and just returned it.
