I have ordered twice
I have ordered twice, and on both occasions the food spent an excessive amount of time in transit without refrigeration.
The first order was in transit for approximately 17 hours and arrived slightly above room temperature. As I couldn’t locate my meat thermometer at the time, we checked the smell and appearance and ultimately discarded most of the food. None of it was consumed.
The second order was in transit for around 26 hours. On delivery, I immediately checked both the freezer bags and the food using a meat thermometer and took photos as evidence. The water in the freezer bag measured 19°C and the chicken measured 13.4°C, which is not food safe. NZ Food Safety guidelines require food to be kept below 5°C.
I have emailed, provided photographic proof, and phoned multiple times but have received no response.
While the food itself looks good, I do not feel safe eating it due to the temperature issues. To date, no resolution has been provided.
