If a bad AI built an app – FitShow in 2025

I’ve been using FitShow Premium with an annual subscription, and honestly – it’s not worth it even if it were free. In Custom mode, the app behaves like it was coded by a bad AI and runs on server infrastructure that clearly can’t handle a higher number of users.

The problem is obvious: on their timer, seconds visibly freeze, then suddenly speed up, and this goes on endlessly. Because of this, one “minute” in the app lasts longer than a real minute, completely ruining workout duration tracking. This only happens in Custom mode, while other workouts (which are unrealistic anyway and were clearly not programmed by a human) don’t have this problem.

Their support tried to shift the blame to my treadmill’s timer, but that was a self-own – if the treadmill were at fault, it would happen in all modes, not just Custom.

And this isn’t their only blunder – earlier this year, after a poorly executed update, the app stopped communicating with BT heart rate monitors. They never informed users, so I wasted €100 on a new HRM, thinking mine was faulty.

Interestingly, the app has a high rating on Google Play – but just read the actual negative reviews (which are clearly drowned out by a flood of fake praises) and you’ll see many people asking the same thing I am: how on earth does this app have such a high rating?

If you care about accuracy, proper timing, and real workout data – FitShow will just raise your blood pressure, and not because of exercise.
