Not the same as it once was :(

My family and I use to love Five Guys but after our recent experience we won't be back. I will no longer recommend it to friends and family.

Customer Service has also gone down hill just like the quality of their products.

I reached out to Customer Services after a poor experience. The buns were not toasted properly, tasted funny and the burgers fell apart.

The fries weren't cooked like they normally are, weren't hot or seasoned. Do not underestimate the need for buns to be toasted properly, it completely changes the texture and flavour of the product.

Customer Services then completely fail to understand the problem I've reported:

"To confirm, we do not toast our buns with a toasted or to be golden brown. The bun is toasted on our dedicated bread grill for a few seconds, until the bread has a rough sandpaper texture in the exterior. The bread may still be white when you receive the burger, and we do not toast the outside of the bun, so it is still expected to be fluffy.

The fries have alsso been cooked to ostandard. We are currently using a different type of potato which makes the fries look brighter in colour, so the light colouring is not an indication that they are undercooked. The fries are not made to be crispy as a standard.

From the photos you submitted, the food was cooked to the expected standard."

I've ate many of your burgers and fries to know what the standard is. The standards are slipping along with the Customer Service!

Five Guys was the odd guilty treat, it was hard to justify the cost but I don't have that problem any more by simply not paying for substandard quality and terrible customer service.

Missing order

I placed an order in the evening because I had an empty fridge after the trip. After 2 hours, I got a notification that the food had arrived. Unfortunately, I don't know where, because there was no courier who would ask for the reference number. I called the restaurant through Just Eat but the phone didn't work. So I found the number on the restaurant's website and called there. The manager said it wouldn't help me because the restaurant is already closed. He had it done with Just Eat. When I reported it, Just Eat decided I was lying because the courier called several times and left food at the door. The only problem is that there was no call to my number from the moment I ordered the food until the next morning. It's disgusting that they robbed me for £30 and left me alone with the problem. No proof that food was delivered, photos or screenshots confirming that they called me. All I can prove is that no one called me. Zero responsibility both the restaurant and Just Eat sites. As a customer, I don't care about their scuffles. I spent money and I didn't get what I wanted to buy. It's called stealing.

Ordered food from five guys in Glasgow silverburn the chips came with a large metal bolt tucked in them it was burning hot so I can only assume it was cooked with them . Messages customer service who informed me they couldn’t do anything and to complain through the delivery company which although not their fault I did and have never heard anything since. No apology no effort to assure us it wouldn’t happen again very disappointing
