I visited Five Guys in Wandsworth (Inside Southside Centre) with my daughter recently and was very disappointed by what I witnessed. While we were eating, I observed one of the chef behind the counter preparing food. After completing someone's order, he kept his gloves on, took out his mobile phone used it for a while, put it back in his pocket, and then immediately started preparing someone else's food-handling both meat and cheese slices-without changing his gloves..
This is a serious hygiene concern. Mobile phones carry over 17,000 germs on average, and food safety protocols clearly require changing gloves after touching personal items like phones.
It was quite off-putting to see, especially when you're eating and expecting a clean and safe food preparation environment..
I hope management addresses this and reinforces proper hygiene practices with staff. Customers deserve better, especially when it comes to food safety..

Top ratings overall, as all five guys i have tried from Lakeside, to Clapham they are pretty consistent on flavour and on presentation. The store are ALWAYS clean. But never asked or know if they have toilets.

Overpriced for a vegetable bun which contains awful greasy mushrooms and that’s it! No diversity on the menu for non meat eaters… tried it will not go back
Angelo served us with amazing customer service. Angelo made the experience at five guys different and unique. We have come here before many times but we kind of eat asap and go this time the customer service put us at ease and made the time here feel relaxed. The food was delicious and made on time. Tasted great! My son enjoyed his food and we look forward to eating here again.
Very bad experience last night, One week ago I booked a place for my son birthday for 15 kids and adults, when we arrive in this place, I have asked where is our place and a very rood impolite ignorant manager who need to be educated, his answer was you don't have booked place and he was talking un necessary word in front of all kids.
Horrendous!
So disappointed with my first experience with this company. The chips were salty, when we asked for no salt. The staff were rude, not one smile or please or thank you. So needless to say customer service and customer experience is non existent.
Tables were DIRTY! With covid still around you would of thought the tables would be sanitised after ever use. They were not, it was not busy, so therefore did not warrant staff to not wipe down the surfaces.
When going back to complain about the food, nothing was done, no apology and certainly NO REFUND!
Disappointed to say the least. You have the nerve to serve cold food, have a dirty environment and rude staff.
