Experience with Martin Stroebel Flight Centre
My husband and I had a fantastic MSC cruise, but unfortunately our experience with Martin Stroebel at Flight Centre (Constantia Village) was really disappointing.
Everything was great and very friendly before booking (in person). Once we went ahead, though, communication became difficult and there was limited support.
We were advised to make the booking in my maiden name (as I already had an MSC profile) and to change it afterwards. This ended up causing issues that we struggled to get help with. We were then told to deal with the MSC call centre directly, who in turn advised that they could only assist the booking agent since the booking was made through Flight Centre.
We followed up with Martin regarding boarding times, a name change, and travel insurance, as we have pre-existing medical conditions. These were fairly standard and reasonable questions, but responses were very slow and the tone of communication suddenly became abrupt and defensive.
Instead of helping us resolve the issues, Martin threatened to cancel our booking (which I have WhatsApp messages confirming) because of my follow-ups. This was extremely disappointing, especially as the whole reason we booked through Flight Centre was to avoid this kind of stress.
The cruise itself was really great, but the lack of post-booking support took away from the overall experience. I eventually contacted Pentravel, who happily assisted with my questions.
Based on this experience, we wouldn’t rush to use Flight Centre again. Would recommend contacting Pentravel for better customer service.
