Florida Jobs Unemployment is a FAILURE!

Florida Jobs website also controls the state Unemployment requests. This is a TOTAL FAILURE!

After Hurricane Ian I lost my job because my streets were flooded and I could not drive to work.

I filed for unemployment in October 2024. 4 Months later with no payment, in February 2025 I had to write the Governor as ask what was going on.

2 weeks later someone contacted me and started my pymts.

The state of Florida is incompetent

The state of Florida is incompetent, they seem to find any reason to deny paying out claims, such as they believe that a claim is filed via identify theft and stating that the 5 job listings are not meeting the criteria. I did go to the office in person talked to someone on the phone and they assured me that I would get unemployment assistance, that was a lie. Then when I try to contact them by using my phone I instantly get hung up on. This is the worst entity that I have every dealt with and every one involved should be fired, They definitely would be if it was a private held company and not a government backed job.

On a side note I had a friend that applied to this so called job at the unemployment office and they denied her after being 1 hour late for the interview.

I will no longer subsidize the states laziness and will start calling it out for its shit.
