Flyordye.com

Hi, I was a Moderator who was part of Flyordie.com. Be careful on Flyordie.com gaming site. This gaming site is currently operated by Moderators who use 100 Accounts to test players. If you are good at a game, they invite you to play then at the end, if they know that they will lose, they intercept your IP account, and where you press the keys on the PC keyboard and disconnect you from the game, and you lose. Even if you take out an annual subscription, they behave the same way. Another problem is that no one responds to complaints. They are basically French thieves, you have thrown money out the window, because these thieves do not want you to be the best player in the game, and in tournaments, forget that you will never have the champion's crown. It is always these thieves who manage it. Do not play on this gaming site, I advise you against it.

It's free so must not really complain

It's free so must not really complain. Today i played about 25 games. I regard myself as an intermediate player so to only win one game says it all really. I'll try to enjoy it for what it is but it ain't backgammon.

I have played on flyordie for years

I have played on flyordie for years. I play mainly chess and occasionally backgammon.
It's easy to join, just create a nickname and password and the only information you have to give them is an email address.
While I agree with a number of reviewers that the dice in backgammon do favour certain players while the rest of us get the worst possible dice at a crucial moment, it is still fun and free to use.
On chess the unfairness comes in the broadband speeds. I have 4g broadband on my phone and on a one minute game it will usually take a second off my time for a move while repeatedly my opponents can do several moves and not one second has been used by them. In fact some show off and don't play a move for thirty seconds of their one minute. Time and time again I end up in totally won positions only to lose on time. Many of the higher rated players are very poor. I still say it's a great free site and you can always choose to play two minutes chess, five minutes, ten minutes or twenty minutes. Those players with the super fast broadband, most of them would lose over the longer time limits. My only negative is regarding the ten minute a side chess. It's called informant chess and when a player puts a pawn on the seventh rank it can be exchanged for a knight, bishop or rook. Otherwise you can keep it as a pawn and play like normal chess. I play a lot of gambit chess and regularly forget about the seventh rank exchange. It can catch you out.
Overall, a good site even though you might have to wait thirty seconds or so for an advert to run before you get into a lobby to challenge players.

Trash game not even a one star

A very trash game I dont even want to give one star review. There is no report button players harhases players they ruin the experience for other people. Players make other players stuck and let them thirst to death. When you spend your gems to Revive, theres no protection for like even a second, you spawn in a stupid random place where people can just kill you even after you just spent yoyr precious gems to revive. Trash game.

Lack of Updates, Abuse of Power, and Horrible Dice Algorithm.

Like I said before, this site needs updates. So far I don’t see any progress on Darts or Tanx. It’s just the same old versions of those games. Some games like Connect 4 also need an update, given that Connect 4 is solved, which is why people left that game. You could also implement a new game, maybe a card game if possible.

Secondly, the role of the assistant moderators of this site is to make sure that the players are following the rules. Same with Moderators, or Senior Moderators. Instead of that, the assistant moderators are targeting people they don’t like or telling them what not to do (even when they’re STILL following the rules). They can even hate on you, treat you like a child, or just make you feel like you’re not welcome. If a mod assistant reports you, a senior mod would take action against you no matter what. I had a similar experience before. And if you ask why you were punished, they will always act as if the problem is entirely on you. And of course, the assistant moderators will always protect those whom they like. You will find people who are a lot more safe around certain mods or mod assistants despite you being a better person than all of them combined. If the moderation is being questioned, then the least you can do is check for any evidence against the person who is facing a punishment. Otherwise the moderation team (including assistants) is PRIMARILY known for taking away the rights of the people they don’t like, while (thankfully) some of them truly care about the site and are legitimately making sure that we are following the rules.

While the FlyOrDie moderation controversy is also part of the status quo, here’s another obvious issue I’d like to point out. I have come to the conclusion that the dice aren’t random in Backgammon. I played better than I did before and I still lose many or win 6 in a row because of the dice algorithm. At first, the dice will seem random. Until you start getting the same roll (example 23 23 23) at least 3 times in a row, even if it’s the same roll that you cannot use when you have a piece on the bar. If your opponent has 2 pieces on the bar, the chances are that they can get a perfect double that also places one or two of your pieces on the bar and then all of a sudden you’re on the losing side. Also, pay attention to how often you get doubles compared to your opponent or vice-versa. Everything I mentioned here happens too often.

Luckily I can’t give it a 1 star since I’m grateful for a few people or friends whom I can talk to.

FlyOrDie, I will gladly update my review if you break the status quo and improve your website. Best of luck.

It’s the best online pool around

It’s the best online pool around. But it’s kind of weird. Two players, pick08 and TITRIBI ( he’s also goes by RUBATITTY), say they wanna take turns slapping my ass! What’s up with that?

All the bad reviews are nonsense

All the bad reviews are nonsense. You won’t find a better site for online games. It’s so realistic I feel I’m at a pool hall. Good luck finding anything better. SKALDGUARD is a great moderator. He’s given me so many chances to keep playing and I’m the worst harasser of them all. Keep up the great work guys!!

Backgammon.

Backgammon: After more than 10 years of testing, I have come to the conclusion that the result of the dice each time depends on the position of the pieces and is not at all random as it should be!!!

Love-hate relationship

I have a love-hate relationship with flyordie games. My passion is backgammon, but the dice are rigged to benefit some accounts more than others. If the server approves of your play strategy you will be given good dice, if you use one of the many other (equally valid and well-established) play strategies you will lose more than you win. Because of the way points are awarded/deducted you can't afford to play someone of much higher or lower rank than yourself or you risk losing tons of points. This makes most BG players defensive, so that they decline requests to play unless you're on almost equal points to them. However, some people just play for fun and will chat and be friendly (helps if you speak more than just English!) There is usually at least one backgammon room active 24 hours a day (often 3 or more rooms x 120 players in each) but typically the board game rooms are most active during UK daytime from 7am to midnight.
In the Gomuku rooms, some experienced players will play beginners (great way to learn how to play better!) Most people say hello, and some are happy to chat. But the official room language is Hungarian and many Hungarians hang out there just to chat, declining all invitations to play. Learn some Hungarian and you're flying!
The chess rooms accommodate both good and inexperienced players, Draughts and Reversi are ok, but nobody chats. There's a good game called Pente, but very, very rarely anybody else in the room to play it, and much the same for 9-Men-Morris.
BE CAREFUL OF CLICKING ON ANY ADS.
They used to contain malware and viruses. I think they've cleaned up their act a bit, but I still avoid clicking them just in case.
IMO it's not worth paying the subscription fee unless you want to play in the weekly tournaments. You'll get just as bad dice in Backgammon whether you subscribe or not.

Very good pool snooker games

Very good pool snooker games. Most realistic compared to any other multigame. no assistence which makes it challenging. But unfortunately there are bugs. Games can get disonnected and you lose the match. Moderators are scary i dont like them.

HORRIBLE MODERATOR D.TICO

There is the Site Moderator called D.TICO ,he is the most ignorant person out there, He doesn't reply to any of the messages and he's constantly banning players that Paid for a online Subscription. I now a friend that recently purchased a 12 month subscription in fly or die games and 1 week later after the payment the moderator D.TICO just restricted him to access certain places for no reason and banned 2 other of his nicks. It's an horrible experience.
