#-1 dropper seat needed replacing 1st ride. #-2 the led controler is cheap and nasty #-3 the Sram shifter is terrible-! #-4 the Battery is so difficult to remove, ridiculous-!

Do not buy focus e-bike stick to popular brands or they will sting you bike is 5yrs old hardly no use early model with 350w battery still original tyres battery stopped working focus can’t supply battery bike shop want$2k to stick batteries to drink bottle holder and run some dodgy wiring or throw bike out it cost 6k retail bike shop said don’t buy focus

I recently purchased a Focus bicycle and feel compelled to share my concerns about their RAT axle system. Unfortunately, my experience has been marked by safety issues that raise serious questions about Focus' commitment to consumer well-being.

The RAT axle, touted by Focus as a cutting-edge innovation, has proven to be far from the safe and reliable component one would expect. There have been instances of dangerous malfunctions, and it is disconcerting that Focus seems aware of these issues yet continues to market and sell the product.

What is particularly troubling is the lack of transparency regarding these safety concerns. It appears that Focus is engaged in uncompetitive practices by pushing consumers towards their own dealers for axle-related issues, claiming that only their dealers can address the problems effectively. This approach not only limits consumer choice but also raises ethical concerns about prioritizing profits over safety.

As a cyclist, safety is paramount, and it is disappointing to see a company compromise on this fundamental aspect. I strongly advise potential buyers to thoroughly research and consider the safety record of Focus' RAT axle system before making a purchase. It is crucial for companies to prioritize consumer safety over their bottom line, and it is my hope that Focus takes swift and decisive action to address these concerns for the well-being of all cyclists.

“JUST AS EXPECTED” no response from FOCUS”. NOW 6 weeks no part received. Purchased a Focus thron 2 Emtb.
Very impressed with build and handling unfortunately I had to replace battery cover costing £16.50 plus £20 postage with a supply time of 4 weeks.
Unfortunately now at 6 weeks and still not arrived (coming from Germany) have tried to speed process but to no success.
Really shocking time line so please be warned if you buy focus expect long delays for replacement parts.
I have owned 7 previous Emtb with no issues with replacement parts.
Sadly “WHEN “I have received replacement part I will sell my bike.

Just been informed that the delayed delivery is due to the first order being lost after 6 weeks.
The response from FOCUS is very negative with no offer to help me achieve my order which hasn’t arrived.
I am sorry but your statement referring to orders is not plausible.
My opinion is still the same.

I really liked WHISTLER 3.8. It is far superior to Cube AIM EX (2023) in terms of workmanship, equipment and design. Thank you for the sale price of the bike. The dealer shop also pleased with its high-class staff and friendliness.

The bike is great,2022 jam2.Let down by some components.Just had the Novatec rear hub fail after 12 months/500 miles which I don't think I've ever had before.Previous 2019 bike still going strong after 2500miles.Cheaper to buy a new wheel than replace the hub with a better one and respoke etc.Out of pocket for £250 which I'm not too pleased about.Id rather they put an extra hundred on the new price and not be let down by substandard parts

I’ve had my Focus Paralane 105 road bike for 4 years now. Haven’t had a single problem with it, other than the fenders being a bit flimsy and loose/rattly so I just removed them anyway. Recently upgraded the wheel set. Looks like a lot of the problem reviews stem from mountain bikes so I can’t comment on that, but I’ve been completely satisfied with my Paralane 105 road bike on smooth roads, rough roads, and even 50+ mile gravel rides/races.
