I bought a pair of shoes that never…

I bought a pair of shoes that never arrived at my address. I spent more than a month going back and forth with the customer service team, and no one was willing to help me promptly. They didn’t take a single decision to ensure the delivery would happen, leaving me to deal directly with the logistics company. A complete disaster.

To make matters worse, a month later they confirmed that the package had been lost, and they are not even able to offer me a replacement in the same size because it is now out of stock. It’s unbelievable that a brand like FootJoy operates with such low quality standards.

Foot pain shoes

Was fitted with Footjoy Traditions…I had to take them off after 3 holes when they cut in to my heels…. I have always worn this brand and compared to my older shoe's there is virtually no cushion protection for your heels ….overall the standard has dropped significantly when you compare the workmanship of the old shoes. You are still charge high end prices .

FootJoy Tour Alpha Poor Quality

Have a pair of FJ Tour Alpha, was given these as a gift around 6 weeks ago, have worn them literally 6 time and the leather on the front of the shoe looks like it’s 12 months old!

I wanted to express my disappointment regarding the response I received about the issues with my FootJoy shoes.

When I contacted FJ, I was told that the shoes are simply "not suitable" for me and that "not all our shoes fit everyone" is, in my opinion, quite unacceptable—particularly given the premium price point of FootJoy products. I would expect a higher level of customer care and product quality.

I provided them with multiple pictures of the affected areas of the shoe and also the whole pair of shoes. They show the shoes are in near-new condition, as they’ve only been worn six times. Despite this minimal use, the leather has already deteriorated significantly, resembling wear consistent with over a year's usage. I have taken great care with the shoes, including the use of shoe trees after every round and cleaning them thoroughly, as recommended on FootJoy’s own website.

They also suggested that the shoes may be the wrong size. I am 38 years old and have consistently worn a size 10½ since the age of 17, with no issues across other footwear brands. Therefore, I find it difficult to accept that sizing is the root cause of this problem.

I do not believe there is anything I could have done differently to prevent this premature wear, very poor customer service!

Not built to last

It’s not just Foot Joy but golf shoes in general, but as this is based on my last golf shoe purchase which was Foot Joys, I’ll illustrate. On average I walk between 12000 and 15000 steps per 18 hole round. I play about 40 rounds per year, which equates to around 600 000 steps per year or about 1 million steps for the life of a pair of golf shoes at the high end of steps per round and not taking into account when a buggy was in use for some of those rounds.. My last purchase was Christmas December 2023 and my shoes by the end of August 2025 had decayed to a state of not fit for purpose after 20 months, give or take about about 1 million golf steps.
In comparison I bought a pair of steel capped safety trainers for retail warehouse work where on average I walk about 20 000 steps per day for 225 working days per annum and they lasted just over two years or the equivalent of 9 million steps.
Golf shoes cost was £100.
Safety trainers cost £36
I understand the environment of use is different, however the warehouse safety trainer use is I believe far harsher on wear and tear and general ruination.
Why is that golf shoes are so poorly manufactured for the long term. You’ll see by the images I’ve attached how they’ve come apart. The waterproofing is only ever guaranteed for a year and even then only if the proper care has been administered.
I carefully follow the cleaning and care instructions but to no avail.
Golf shoes not lasting longer than two years - not really acceptable.

FJ superflex golf shoes

I bought a pair of hyperflex golf shoes 21 months ago. Despite FJ alleging they use quality materials in their products the dual eyelet at the top left hand side has torn meaning the laces get shredded. Having spent £180 on a pair of golf shoes I was extremely disappointed and expected more of FJ when I cobra ted them as all they do is hide behind the 12 month warranty. They do not seem to appreciate the goods they sell should be of merchantable quality which these shoes certainly are not. I am minded to take this further but have decided maybe changing to under armour is a better option as the summer golf shoes I bought from them certainly are a quality product.

Beware of FB Advertising For FootJoy Closeouts

I placed my order for two shirts and 3 pair of shoes on May 27, 2025. They confirmed the order and provided a tracking number. When I sent an email asking why nothing was updated, I didn’t receive a response. However the package said it was in the USA. I sent a 2nd email a week later with no response and they said it was now in the USPS distribution center in NC. A week later the package was reported to be at our local USPS office. They don’t have any record of the parcel nor is the tracking number in their system. I sent another email to this company and again have not received a reply. BEWARE!

I am baffled by the reviews here

I am baffled by the reviews here. My son loves high end golf clothes and we just bought some items for his birthday - a polo top, 2 pairs of shorts, a pair of trousers, a belt...They arrived next day. Unfortunately we got the waist size wrong, so 3 had to be returned and I reordered them, they also all came next day. I filled out the return request for all items online and took them to the post office, within an hour I had the returns information in my email. I can't fault them. From my experience so far I fully expect to get the refunds within the next couple of weeks, and my son absolutely loves his new golf gear. PS I got everything from the website footjoy.co.uk/ and not via a fb advert which others seem to have done. PPS 16 June, and I have now received confirmation that they have received my returns, so I am confident that I will get the refunds in the next couple of weeks...And finally, 19 June I have received my refunds - very happy with their service.

No customer service from Footjoy

Having been a loyal customer of Footjoy shoes for 40 years I purchased a pair of their Premier shoes expecting them to be comfortable as all my previous shoes. However that proved not to be the case, so I contacted Footjoy expecting some sort of compensation to a loyal customer, unfortunately they have no interest in supporting loyal customers, so my advice would be to look for alternative shoe from a company with an interest in their customers.

Footjoy golfshoes - never delivered

I ordered two pairs of Footjoy golfshoes 27th Nov. 2024 after being tempted on a FB advert. The SalesTeam sent me an order confirmation and followed up a month later with notification that the order had been delivered. That never happened! When asking what address they had been delivered to (because the shoes never turned up at my place), they told me that their courier had delivered the package at a different address. Then they asked if I wanted the money back or a new delivery. A new delivery would take 15-25 days so I confirmed this was acceptable. Since then - I never heard anything more from them, my e-mails to them have been returned due to unknown address. This week I contacted my bank and made a complaint about the company and have now been refunded the amount paid. I recommend everyone to stay clear from this company.

This is a scam site

This is a scam site. Paid for shoes at start of Jan, still no sign. I have sent multiple emails looking for refund, but, after a few initial responses, they have stopped replying. Should have known it was too good to be true. Don't get caught out like me. Avoid, Avoid, Avoid!!!!!!

Footjoy order not received

Footjoy order from 2025-01-05 not received. After placing my order the last information I received was: 2025-01-15DE, The package is being sent to the customs processing center.
My reminder e-mails had all with the same content. So I definitely lost 80 EUR to this fake account.

Footjoy-EU order not received!

Footjoy-EU order not received! Is it a scam site based in China? Via an advertisement on Facebook I placed an order but after a month have not received it. The tracking number I was given shows 24-11-01 Shenzhen via Hong Kong then 24-12-04 The Netherlands but the last status “The package is being arranged for delivery” has remained the same for a week!
On contacting the customer services email address they simply reply that your order has been shipped.
Since the company have taken my money and not fulfilled my order I believe footjoy-eu to be a scam site and advise others not to place orders with them.

Pro SL carbon men’s golf shoes

Pro SL carbon men’s golf shoes. Guaranteed waterproof for a year. Feet wet on first round in dewy conditions. Returned and refunded with confirmation they leaked - thanks Footjoy I’d worked that out myself. No apology or offer of trying another pair. Perhaps they know they will all leak? Very disappointed

Never buy Footjoy

I paid over £150 for FJ Premier Dryjoys. After approximately 20 rounds of golf, each shoe has a hole in the inner lining. They were under warranty, so were returned, but FJ insist this is just normal wear and tear and won't budge. My only recourse would be to take the retailer (my Golf Professional) through the legal process, which is not something I want to do.
The quality of FJ shoes is very, very poor and they are far behind many other brands (my Ecco summer golf shoes are 2 years old, without issue). They are NOT a premium brand and should not command such a price.
I will never buy another FJ product and would give this advice to everyone else.

Purchased in May 24

Purchased FJ Pro SL in May 24, they look good, are water resistant and are sized correctly! Sadly, that's were the OK stuff end. Ever since I've had them I've had huge blisters after blisters causing significant discomfort, due to a plastic strip on the heal and the tong keeps sliding out of place. I ended up buying a pair of Nike, fingers crossed so far so good.

Footjoy Pro SL

I purchase a pair of pro SL’s just over a year ago, however, I did not wear them for the first time until September. Shoes are peeling at front. Footjoy dismissed my email as shoes were out of warranty - which I understand. But surely shoes should last more than a year. Personally I will now be purchasing Under Armour or Adidas again. Poor product quality.
