I was informed that should i require to Self Assess as a result of my claim, then Forcestaxrebate would sort it all out for me. Instead I have just received a £100 fine for not returning in time. Tried to contact the company, phone lines no longer working, and neither it their email address. BRILLIANT THANKS
The most shambolic company I have ever dealt with. Started my application in Jan 22 and 7 months on, I am still waiting for my claim to be completed.
I have had to call them on several occasions before they take the next step required. They are happy to sit back for you to call, then ask you to do their job by calling HMRC
getting things done. Literally done most part of their work! Yet, they still can't finish up the claim and make payment.
Communication is utterly poor. At best you get conflicting text messages about your claim more than you will get from a scammer. Very uncaring about customers.
In a nutshell, please stay away from using this company.

Firstly I am sorry to hear you feel the service you received was not what you expected. As discussed we did keep you updated on your claim throughout, unfortunately you did not feel this was sufficient.
As advised in the text that was sent to you, we now need you to contact HMRC as they will not discuss your account with us. This is out of our control.

I have been waiting 6 months so far and still no tax rebate. My colleagues that used a different company have had two claims back for different tax years already and I still haven’t received one back yet. I am a patient person but this wait is too long

Hello Charlie, unfortunately I am unable to provide you with an update specific to your claim as we are not able to identify you. We are experiencing delays at HMRC as they are carrying out extra security checks on self assessment tax returns. These checks are affecting all of our clients. Rest assured we are doing everything we can to get payments released and are contacting HMRC at every opportunity and as soon we receive anything from HMRC we will update you on this.
This is a warning for anyone contemplating using this company….. I would steer WELL clear.
They claimed to have cleared a debt (underpayment due to student loan) with HMRC on my behalf as part of my claim. When I phoned HMRC directly (on three separate occasions) they said this was untrue. HMRC presented proof and have supplied all my statements for the last 3 years backing this up.
The company (Forces Tax Rebate) when questioned remain hard and fast on their claims and have taken their 40% fee from a bogus and inflated amount. It makes me believe that they have potentially committed FRUAD of this nature to countless of their clients over a number of years.
I am now forced to raise the matter immediately with the Standards and Practices ombudsman and will further be escalating the claim with a solicitor.
After now spending a great deal of time researching this I wish I had done my own Self assessment with HMRC, it would’ve saved time and a LOT of money.
You’re in the armed forces you deserve better than this, put a bit of time in and take ALL of the claim. Don’t give a penny to fraudsters like this company.
My only hope after this experience is I might be able to blow the lid on these disgusting agencies that pray on people who’s time is so precious.

Whole process was painless, your team delivered superb support however the only issue I had was that I felt I didn’t have a firm hand in what was going on, reading the small print etc I was alittle naive to. The 40% charge reduction I had taken was a surprise as I didn’t think it was so high, my point is I wasn’t tracking it and note to self if I do one in the future then I’m more tuned into the policy.

Our fees of 40% of the gross tax rebate (which includes VAT at the standard rate of 20%) are explained in our Terms of Service which, when you submitted your application on our website, you were confirming you were in agreement with. I saw the advertisement on Facebook and thought what have I got to loose.
Turned out to be a decent amount of money is what I had to loose, so with an easy process I completed 1 form and received 1 phone call and the reward was a nice Tax rebate.

Which i think is rather steep as a certain other company charge a fixed fee of £110 i was charged 3 times this

This is a comprehensive process which involves gathering data from a number of sources to ensure complete accuracy in your final claim submission, so there is a great deal of work involved. For this reason we do feel our fees are fair.
We do make our fees extremely clear at the start of the claim process, so if you were unhappy with the fee we charged, this could have been raised then. We disclosed our fees in our terms of service, which we can confirm you signed your application pack to say you were in agreement with. We also explained our fees in our phone disclaimer which you verbally confirmed you were happy to proceed with.
