While we don't verify specific claims because reviewers' opinions are their own, we may label reviews as "Verified" when we can confirm a business interaction took place. Read more

Cracked windows

2 of my windows within one frame have got stress cracks on the inside of them, ford windows have stated it is thermal shock. This is a new build house which I have lived in for less than a year but they are not covered under warranty. The company has told me from a photo this is not due to a defect and is normal and to be expected. However another glazing company who has assessed them in person stated this occurs when the glass is the wrong size for the frame. Clearly they are not a quality product so I would advise others to stay away!

Windows no better than many others

Windows no better than many others, customer service non existent, asked for some help with an issue they never solved when in warranty and just won’t respond at all … asking how to make a manual adjustment isn’t asking the world. Do yourself a favour and shop elsewhere

Care for the end users and listen to your SMEs

Dear Phil of Ford Windows, what a shame, you and your Co had the chance to liaise with your end user, but you seemed to want to hide behind your contract with your developer that unfortunately for you will continue to give you a terrible rep in product delivery and customer services (see Yell, Trustpilot, Glassdoor, Google reviews etc) as you and your staff will not communicate with the people who have your products installed in their houses, this results in reviews like this…. you know very well you’re fitting sub-standard trickle vents in your window frames (Yale ones which snap if you can open them followed by SF Xtra which don’t cover the holes in the frames) which undermines energy efficiency ratings which in turn makes your glazing solutions VERY inefficient. Care for the end users and listen to your SMEs, they know more than you think. All the best. Tom
