Extra mile covered

Meant to review recent purchase from this excellent company before this but, as a round-the-clock carer for my husband, better late than never. Husband with two chronic long-term conditions forced to have a hospital bed which meant buying a single for me. Unfortunately, there was a manufacturing fault with the first metal-framed base which I chose from Forty Winks but Ian quickly rectified and replaced with a more expensively priced pine bed (foc). Service from Emma, Ian and delivery driver, whose name I did not get, sadly (but you know who you are) was first-class and my new bed provides the height of comfort which helps to make up for the fact my husband and I can no longer share a double. Thank you, once again, Forty Winks, for excellent service.

Very good quality

My king size bed and mattress look and feel great. High quality 👍 The lady in Stoke's shop is very nice and helpful. The only issue is setting wrong expectations about delivery day. Mine was a week late. They can easily sort this if they say it takes 2 weeks to have the bed delivered, not 1. Delivery team is also nice and friendly with care for your property. They also remove your old bed for free.
Highly recommend for the good price and quality.

Great local business super…

Great local business super service...however fed up with them parking their great big commercial van on local roads which are already busy enough. Please sort out somewhere else to park it..

Excellent Customer Service

We were very impressed by the excellent customer service from both Kerry and the team. Nothing was too much trouble and the process from the helpful advice we received at the store to the prompt and efficient delivery was great. Thank you.

Dishonest service

I’m always reluctant to post a negative review as mistakes do happen. However, I ordered from this company online because of all the positive reviews that I’d seen. Whilst it sounds like this company are very good if you purchase in-store, my online experience has been different and I think it only fair that potential online customers are made aware. I ordered a bed frame and mattress on 8th July and was advised that delivery would be 7-14 days. As I had heard nothing just before the 14 days I contacted them for an update. I was assured delivery would take place the following week. It didn’t. After further communications and requests for updates, my order was eventually delivered on 31st July. Great-I was just happy it had arrived. I then found out that the wrong mattress had been sent but had been packaged to look like what I’d ordered. The mattress sent retails at £120, I paid them £209 for a different make altogether. I immediately emailed and also raised a case via PayPal for a refund. This was after closing so I didn’t expect to hear anything until the following day but the PayPal refund was processed that evening for which I am grateful. However, no apology has followed, my request for an explanation has been ignored. Needless to say I will not use this company again.

Terrible material - definitely not recommended

We bought this beautiful sofa bed a little over a year later the fabric has deteriorated badly and started to split. We chose the faux leather version and it has barely lasted a year.

We contacted Heals who sent a technician. The technician was very pleasant, he told us the fabric was to blame and that he would recommend replacing the sofa or re upholstering in the other fabric. But he said replacement would be his first option.

Weeks went past with various auto responses but no real messages from Heals. Eventually we received this:

Further to it, I am afraid to advise that the issue of your product is not down to the manufacturing. This is cause by using an abrasive cleaning substance or the product is left near the window for a long period of time and the heat with the UV light had hit over a long period of time.
I am so sorry to advise you of his outcome.

Customer Services

The technician did not ask us any questions whatsoever about cleaning (we have never cleaned it with anything apart from dusting it with a slightly damp cloth) and they assume the sunlight where in fact there is none. Even if there was a sofa of this quality should last in good condition longer than a year.

We have responded but three weeks later no further response from Heals.

We renovated our whole 5 Storey Georgian terrace using Heals.

We will never buy from them again. Not even a lightbulb. They’ve always been so helpful but now they are offloading their problem unto us.

We have other sofas and they are older and absolutely fine. This one isn’t.

40 Winks faux leather sofa bed is not fit for purpose.

I love my new divan base it's a…

I love my new divan base it's a beautiful colour and fabric and has made a huge difference to my new mattress which I ordered from another company The sales guy in necastle under Lyme was so helpful but not pushy was delivered a week later and the delivery guys we're so cheerful and took the base upstairs, also they took my old base awy for free! Would highly recommend and I will definitely be shopping here for my next bed.

Great advice, service and support.

We have bought a few beds through Forty Winks and always been very pleased with the advice, service and support.
One bed we bought 5 years ago developed a fault and Forty Winks worked with the manufacturer to organise an inspection of the bed and a warranty replacement.
Fantastic service and will continue to be a customer of theirs for years to come.
