Very disrespectful management and managers
After reading the negative reviews about this company, I am not surprised. My own experience reflects many of the same issues.
Very disrespectful and toxic environment.
They do not appreciate capable and talented salespeople and photographers at all.
You never get credit for anything you do right—only complaints and criticism. This comes from the photo manager, area manager, and others in the agency.
Work equipment is old and broken: cameras don’t function properly, flashes don’t work, and nobody cares to replace them. This makes your job harder, yet they still expect excellent results. There are no chairs to sit on, and cables are left underfoot at photo points.
The photo manager lives with you and thinks far too highly of herself (The area manager and office managers thinks far too highly of themselves as well). They want to “manage” every little thing, leaving you no space to breathe. On top of that, three other workers share the apartment with you, so you have no privacy or personal space. The energy in both the apartment and workplace is very negative.
The cantina is extremely noisy, the food is poor quality, and it’s always the same. It often makes you feel sick, so you end up cooking for yourself or going on a diet.
The apartment is about 10 minutes from the hotel where you work, requiring you to run up and uphills and stairs just to get there. Meanwhile, some people live right across the street from their hotel. Apartment conditions are bad: cockroaches inside and outside, street noise, and no proper window in your room.
You work 6-7 days in raw.
The worst part is how they treat good employees who actually do a great job. There is no appreciation whatsoever. Managers and management think only of themselves and have no idea how to talk to or treat employees with respect.
The area manager once lost his temper, yelled, and roughly grabbed the camera out of my hands aggressively even touched my hand—which is absolutely unacceptable.
The office manager is also extremely disrespectful, with a high temper. Managers of this agency and people in the office of this agency constantly make things up that you never said. They never give you space to express yourself or share your opinion. They only listen to each other, never to their employees —especially new employees, who mean nothing to them.
This company should not exist under such management and conditions. The culture and mentality are aggressive and unhealthy.
I would not recommend this company. It’s sad they never realize what they are losing, while selfish and self-centered managers continue to think only the best of themselves.
Actually be there for good people. Don’t take hardworking employees for granted. Be human, treat others with respect, and STOP MAKING THINGS UP! Show respect and truly listen to your employees. Change the entire management team and start over!
I could have continued working in another hotel, but after the area manager threatened me aggressively, I no longer wanted to work for such a disrespectful agency.
After that experience, I didn’t even want to continue collaborating with the agency anymore at all. When I asked to speak with the management team on the phone and finally got connected with the office manager, he didn’t give me a single moment to talk or express how I felt. Not at all. The reasons are clear: they wanted to look good. They knew they were wrong but couldn’t admit their mistakes.
