My order of a Sony DSLR battery was delivered two days after placing the order. Once the order was confirmed by FotoSense, received an email with the order's tracking number.
Price was the cheapest I could find and reassuringly a genuine Sony product complete with sealed packaging and security hologram.
Excellent service.
Unbeatable and good communication. Don't know why people are misleading this company, I definitely recommend if you are looking for good price and fast delivery. Would not wait to place my next order with them as it does make sense when I'm looking for reliability and good prices. Well done guys.
Dont use this company just try and fob you off. When raised an issue re packaging of BW Filter. (Nb I have purchased from them before. No issues).
But this purchased B&W filter the protective case is too big size of 72mm. Item purchased is 58mm filter. Protective case filter moves about in it loose . Concerns is this item a fake? Or is this normal B&W packaging. My other B&W filters fit snug i own and purchased from Fotosense. When i spoke to Tom at Fotosense Uk re the issues he huffed and his tone changed. Just wanted to fob me off to UK Manfrotto distributor who didnt even supply this item! ( Tom at Fotosense confirmed they had purchased from a supplier in Germany a cheaper price for this product) . During this call and issue Tom was rude, abrupt raised his voice. I stated due to the packaging not certain if a genuine item. Again raised his voice. I had to explain dont raise your voice. I have worked in customer service and when a person raises a concern you need to be professional and not raise voice, he carried on being abrupt rude.
(NB I had seen the poor customer reviews previously- but due to being a previous happy customer with Fotosense i thought i would reuse).
Tom at Fotosense Uk carried on fobbing me off to Manfrotto Uk who he admitted didnt supply the item. Finally gave me a website of the company in Germany who supplied it ie schneideroptics.com but stated they are in California. But no email so i am expected to ring California. I ask for him to email the German supplier he wouldnt or give me an email to verify genuine product. He was more concerned presumably he was giving away his supplier details. Again i asked could he email them. No fobbed off. I had to either ring California from the UK, Ring Manfrotto who had not supplied the item!! Bizarre! I stated how can Manfrotto UK prove an item they didnt supply was genuine. He wouldnt admit this was a silly request. How could they prove an item was genuine and normal BW packaging ie oversized protective case. He then stated photograph the QR code on side of box. (Still being abrupt rude. Which will show it is genuine). Told him, for him to do such while on the phone. Which he did. His attitude as a customer made me feel this product may not be genuine even more, due to his abrupt unprofessional attitude, raising his voice. (Not all customers are aware of QR codes).
He again then stated to ring Manfrotto Uk BW distributor for them to sort out the issue. Even though Fotosense UK sold me the product. Manfrotto UK didnt supply to Fotosense Uk. But Manfrotto was to sort out their Fotosense customers issue question.
When i stated i will consider returning the item due to his poor customer service . Again advising him of his unprofessional customer service, abrupt tone, raised voice fobbing off and not reassuring the issue that i may return for a full refund. I also stated i would also give a negative customer review re his attitude.
Tom from Fotosense stated he would counter any negative review!!
I also raised to him i had seen poor reviews for this company but having been a previous happy customer . I would use again. Wish i hadnt.
No doubt if i returned the item for a full refund it will be lost or delays to refund. When i said i would put a negative review re his attitude customer service).
Tom reiterated he would counter any negative review. He then slammed the phone down. Terminated the call.
Very poor unprofessional staff member needs retraining and how to speak to people. He appears he took it personally re a product issue. He could have dealt with it 150% better ie listen to a customer. (NB prior to purchasing this item i rang Fotosense UK last week to confirm the difference between 2x BW Filters on their website. The female stated to ring BW Direct because no one in Fotosense could answer the question. Staff didnt have a clue. She was helpful and gave me the alleged telephone number for BW .
When i rang it - it was Manfrotto UK Distributor. Not BW as she stated. But on this call Manfrotto UK were able to answer the question correctly and i then purchased this BW filter from Fotosense UK.)
It appears the Fotosense UK staff ie Tom seem young, unprofessional, rude, abrupt, aggressive re voice tone and he slammed/terminated the call. Buyer be aware. Product maybe cheaper from Fotosense than Manfrotto UK B&W filter distributor.
But if you have a query or problem. They will treat you like this and fob you off to a UK Supplier company who didnt supply the item!
DONT USE THIS FOTOSENSE UK COMPANY! This is a true Fotosense UK customer service experience.
(NB to give a seperate note i rang Manfrotto UK distributor re my concerns. Totally professional customer service, they fully understood the concerns, even though they did not supply the filter. They understood my concerns and stated they would confirm and come back to me. I will be using Manfrotto UK from now on)
Just read the poor customer service from Fotosense UK and make your own decision.
May be all these negative customer reviews are from the same person who deals with customers at Fotosense UK i had dealing with ie Tom
(If i could review Tom and Fotosense UK as a zero or minus stars i would).
I can't recommend this shop. Especially the after sales customer service is totally unmotivated in incompetent to handle a claim.
Never buying here again. Don't do the same mistake I did.
I bought a Bushnell trail camera from Fotosense.
It didn't work peoperly so I returned it to them after a fortnight.
I already have one of these cameras that I use at night so I knew the second one not working wasn't down to user error.
They didn't inform me it had arrived until I made an enquiry a week later and airily told me it was being tested and I'd just have to wait.
Well I'm still waiting 8 days later and I don't have a trail camera or a refund.
It's all very well offering cheap prices but customer service is also improtant - just letting people know what's happening would be a good start.
I'll probably have to escalate this through paypal which is a shame.
A case of caveat emptor.
One of only 2 companies in UK I could find that sold Interfit strobes and was worried that it may take a while for them to come despite it saying in stock on website. I needn't have worried, they came exactly as advised within 48 hours. Saved my bacon as I needed them the same week. Would certainly use them again.
The price was by far the cheapest by the way too. Only WEX Photographic also stock Interfit as far as I can tell and they were £50 more on a £400 item.
I ordered a camera, having researched it online without seeing it in person. It was perfect on paper. It arrived a couple of days after I ordered it and I opened the box to check out my new gadget. It was nothing like I expected and I was very disappointed. This was of course not the fault of Fotosense who just sell the cameras.
I was worried that I was stuck with the camera now that I'd opened the box, although I'd only had it on for a very short time to test it. But a quick email to the Fotosense costumer service department, and a very quick reply, told me that I was indeed able to return it for an exchange or refund. I filled in a refund request form and it was approved within hours. I sent the camera back with special delivery (which I paid for as I would've expected to do when I wanted to return a product for no other reason than not liking it) and less than 24 hours after I'd posted it, they sent me a full refund.
Exceptional and so different from other customer service departments I've dealt with.
A good company to do business with offering excellent service and quality products at very competitive prices. I bought 2 Nissin flash guns because they were the cheapest I found (other than grey imports!)
I particularly liked the fact that the courier firm used DPD have excellent customer liaison allowing you to track your parcel and delivery time almost to the minute. No more hanging around for hours waiting for a delivery!
Once I search for what I wanted on Google, the prices ranged between 220-360 pounds. I settled on Fotosense due to excellent customer reviews and very reasonable price. Other sites promised the world but had let down a lot of customers on delivery and quality of product. The camera arrived as advertised at a good price. I thoroughly recommend using them, in fact I would quite happily recommend the company to friends & family!
Placed order on Tuesday, they took the money from my account Wednesday. Nothing arrived by Friday so I phoned them. Girl on phone couldn't get hold of warehouse then minutes later I get an email saying item on back order and will be supplied after the 16th (its the 6th). If this isn't acceptable I can cancel. So I have cancelled. But how long will I now wait for a refund??
I thought it wasn't actually legal to take payment until he item was dispatched with mail order goods? Won't use them again.
Fotosense saved the day for me at Christmas!
Unfortunately I chose to order a Fuji Film instax camera through Jessops Just because I hadn't heard of Fotosense before, however Jessops failed to deliver my order after 3 weeks and so I spoke to Fotosense on the Friday before Christmas who were very helpful and delivered the next day.
I would recommend Fotosense to anyone and was really impressed with their service.
Excellent.
Update: One of the reasons that I purchased from here is that they offer 3% cashback through a well known site (the 'top' cashback site that I am not allowed to mention by name). Well they say they do but for some reason they ended up paying the wrong network so I never received it. Apparently this was because another network had managed to sneak a cookie into my PC that took precedence over the real cookie from 'my' cashback site.
Even though the cashback tracked correctly on 'my' site, the vendor still paid the wrong network. I accept that this is somewhat out of the vendor's control so I have rated them based on the sale of the goods only which was faultless. HOWEVER, if you do buy here, don't factor the cashback into the price as I did - you probably won't get it if you (or anyone who uses your PC) has EVER visited MyVoucherCodes.co.uk...
It seems that my cashback was 'stolen' by MyVoucherCodes so my gripe is more with them than with the vendor. One thing you can try (before ordering) is to make sure you have deleted ALL cookies from MyVoucherCodes.co.uk. Make sure you do this separately for every browser that you use. You should then set up a block to prevent this site from dropping its cashback-stealing cookies into your system (for example if another family member accidentally uses your account without your knowledge).
Good luck! Now - on to review MyVoucherCodes...

Ordered two sets of fujifilm polaroid on tuesday for first class delivery it is now friday and haven't received them. Order these for a wedding I am shooting tomorrow and now have no film for there DIY Photo Booth. So will now waste my afternoon frantically looking for some more. They blamed royal mail for the mistake but didn't take any fault in the matter. Won't be using again 0 stars
I ordered a camera as a gift for somebody. The website said it was in stock and I paid for first class recorded delivery. When it hadn't arrived, I called them 5 days later, and was told it had just come into stock that day and would be dispatched that day. I then called another 5 days later when there was still no sign of it and was told it was not in stock, they did not know when it would be in stock, it could be one to two weeks. I was promised that the manager would call me back on his return to the office the following Monday. He did not call, so I called him. He had no record of any of my previous conversations and could not explain why I had been told by his website and his staff that it was in stock. He was also unable to tell me if or when it would be in stock because there was an issue with the supplier. That may well be the case, but that doesn't explain why they could not have said so at the time I placed my order, or contacted me to let me know that my order would not arrive as expected, or been honest in the first place when I contacted them.
Ordered the item quite late on in the afternoon and it still arrived in 2 days time. Very well packaged. The item was well priced too. Overall this is exactly what I want from a company when I am buying goods online.
CANT BELIEVE IT ORDERED IT AND GOT IT THE NEXT DAY - THATS WHAT I CALL EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE WILL DEFINATELY BUY FROM THEM AGAIN
Browsing their site I found a holster bag that I needed. This particular bag was on back order, not requiring to use it before mid June I went ahead and placed an order. Within a few days an email saying it was posted was received, next day it arrived. Well done Fotosense, second purchase and no problems, I will be back for a third.
odered twin softbox £322.95 28th Dec, had email that the order was accepted delivery would be in 3 working days due to road condition, we also paid for next day delivery, 4th Jan had email to say its been dispached and will be with us within 3 days ummmm still waiting, tryed to phone then all it says please go to help and then the phone goes dead, ive been phoning for the past few days as i was going to order something else but after this i dont think i will be buying from these people again . def no no, kat
Item not in stock but that was not made clear during the ordering process and I was only advised several days later that it would not be available for a further month. Although I received a refund, I would not recommend this company.
