a bug where it keeps asking to print…

a bug where it keeps asking to print every time I open, tried to trouble shoot the issue using their site, but they aren't very helpful. Just downloaded different software and now the issue is gone.

For anyone interested just swapped to SlimPDF 2.0 and it's great, it just works.

The product was great BUT licence only allows 1 PC per 1 user

The product was great but the licencing was not. I signed up under the trial which allowed me to use one licence across multiple devices (Windows, Mac and mobile) which went great. I then paid the subscription and discovered that you can only use the license on one PC. Unbelievable! What software company these days allows a user licence on only 1 PC? I have a desktop and a laptop so would need 2 licenses. Anyway, I contacted support and after 'some' time they responded. They were good and understanding and were a bit surprised at the limitation. They processed my refund without any problems (after 14 days). Very disappointing to go through the process of selecting a PDF editor and then told you can only use it on one PC. I'm now using UPDF on multiple devices and find it similar and cheaper.

ZERO support

ZERO support. I paid twice, because my trial version ran out, and I was in a panic to fix a document. TWO DAYS have passed, and they don't answer the phone, have no live support, and don't answer emails.

'Free Trial' was a scam

'Free Trial' was a scam! entered my payment details to try the product for 7 days - it wasnt for me so I cancelled within a couple of hours of downloading it. They took my money anyway. I contacted them numerous times to politely request my money back with proof of my cancellation and got nowhere. eventually had to go through paypal to get them to get my refund which they duly did for me. Thank goodness I used Paypal to pay! Terrible treatment by a company that couldnt care less.

loved foxit pdf pro but !

used to love foxit pdf pro, did everything we need. Bought many licences.
now;
constant vulnerabilities flagging up on all our security software, all high.
Regardless of upgrade to new versions and clearing it up, within weeks more are found.
Plus; they no longer allow direct purchase unless you have an email battle with them, all they want is subscription. It should be a standalone purchase and that should include all free upgrades on any security issue.
For the last time now I uninstalling every licence and going to have to move to adobe.

Buggy license subscription and awful customer service

I attempted to transfer my Foxit licence from an old computer to a new one, however the software appears to have a bug and won't allow re-activation. I already deactivated the licence on my old computer so it could be reactivated on the new one—this used to work before, but no longer does. When I created a support ticket, they did not resolve my issue but just closed the ticket saying it was resolved because they "cannot keep the ticket open for so long". Frustrating and extremely unprofessional.

Foxit support is effective via phone

If online support fails, call their customer service number. It really is 24/7 and they really do call back.
I was unable to update my Foxit subscription over a month - updating from the application did not work, and from the online auto-chat, it referred me to a download page that only listed trial versions.
1) It turns out "Trial" is also for software updates - their web management is SLOW on clarifying what that link provides.
2) The phone support sent me a direct link to update the software, which works.

It may go up to 5 stars, when their web manager addresses the known issue.

I created a Trustpilot account…

I created a Trustpilot account specifically for this.

Their PDF reader is more difficult to remove than most malware, even though this software is well over a decade old.

Not worth even one star

Not worth even one star despite being used for over a year. The real problem started with a machine upgrade at which point I discovered that the registration code didn't work because the original version was no longer downloadable. After some digging I found a page on the support website that "converted" old codes to new, but my original code was declared invalid, despite being printed on the invoice.
No access to support either, no human support, no available office in the UK. Forget it, I'll find something else.

FOXIT PDF EDITOR

They offered a free trial for pdf editor cloud. You go through the process to sign up. Credit card is mandatory. Every field works, including email verification code which is placed prominently at the top . The LAST FIELD is the Credit Card field (remember, credit card is mandatory to get the trial and then you can CANCEL and get a refund they say). The CREDIT CARD FIELD does not function, It does not work. I thought I had browser issues and did much TS. I then figured it was a problem on their end. I then foolishly thought I would get a one month subscription and then cancel if I do not not like it and they would refund the charges. Did not like it. I try to cancel. NO CANCEL BUTTON. I tried to remove my credit card, IMPOSSIBLE.

Reply from support was fast, they have forwarded my request for approval and said they "understand" why I want to cancel. I hope to be "approved". The REFUND process was fast but what a bad experience in general.

I paid for their foxit editor

I paid for their foxit editor, full price, plus a sneakily added "Upgrade Assurance" - which I don't want. How do I try and reverse this? There is no way. I should have just downloaded a hacked version because that offers no support too. My bad.

I just deactivated foxit pdf from one…

I just deactivated foxit pdf from one machine to transfer it to another. Deactivation was simple. Now I can't transfer it. Any online solutions I have found do not work or are so convoluted that they can't be followed. Customer service sucks. I've waited on the phone, but the call cuts off after 2 minutes. They said they do not do human contact. If I did not have a less than 5 months old subscription I would just say forget it, but I have already paid so I want what is owed.

Terrible company

Terrible company. Buy a licence and then software updates and you are required to buy a new licence and it wont let you continue using the old software. Avoid wasting your money on this company that is obvioudly devois of any morale compass.

Be Careful!!

I downloaded Foxit pdf editor on 14 day free trial basis to see if I could use it for a specific document I was trying edit but was unable to - no doubt due to my own ineptness and no reflection on the software. However, once downloaded it insinuated itself as the default pdf editor and changed all the pdfs on my computer retrospectively to Foxit. So when the free trial ended and I didn't pursue the purchase I could no longer access any of my pdfs even though they were not created using Foxit. The uninstall component that came with Foxit didn't work. I had a horrible moment of feeling that I was being held to ransom to pay for software I didn't need or want but I found a way to uninstall it in the end and the pdfs (prior to the installation date) reverted to Adobe. It was scary though and I feel its deliberately built to do this.

No longer the best

I used to like Foxit Reader, but over the last few years they've obviously run out of things to improve, so, unable to leave it alone, have increasingly changed things for the worse or made the interface 'cleaner' by removing or deeply burying important/useful controls.
