Not made in Australia. Poor refund policy.

I purchased 6 pairs of underwear from Frank and Beans via ebay very recently. After looking around kmart, target, etc and not being able to find any Australian made undies I was initially glad I found Frank and Beans listing on ebay. Their listing said it was an Aussie product from design to sales. From start to finish. Even had a picture showing the factory in the start to finish process.

When the undies turned up on very close inspection the words "made in china" were printed on the inside of the undies. They had even gone to the trouble of trying to black out the letters with a black pen or something.

This company is very deceptive. It's excuse is that they reckon they own the factory in china so it's still an Aussie product. Which is a fair stretch of the imagination. It's not produced in Australia so how could it be. It's no more Australian than Bonds or all the others who get their products made in china.

I asked for a refund and they refused. Now I'm in a dispute situation with them on ebay and have told them I think they are very deceptive and am now contemplating lodging a complaint with consumer affairs.

Any reasonable company would have allowed me to return them and give a refund. But they are not a reasonable company. They don't respect that it's your money. They won't allow returns, only exchanges. Talk about unfair. Just look at the other reviews on here. If anything goes wrong with a transaction they will rather argue and not refund your money. Seems the customer is always at fault for some reason or other.

You would think that for the sake of public relations they would allow refunds for returned unused goods still in original packaging.

I see there are other reviews here where people were mislead into believing the goods were Australian made. So it's not a once off advertising error. They word their advertising to make you think it is Australian made, but it isn't.

Anyway the product is MADE IN CHINA. Don't believe their cunningly worded sales pitch.

I needed Boxers that didnt ride up all…

I needed Boxers that didnt ride up all day, im moving around a lot during the day and have for a long time not being able to find underwear that doesnt ride up. I stumbled upon Frank & Beans last year and havent looked back. This is my second purchase splurging a little on some new releases they bought out. The second purchase also was like the first, they dont ride up my legs. These are always comfortable and the material is soft feel with helps make them comfy.

Very undersized, average quality and poor refund policy

Purchased silk boxer shorts, way too small and they were large with their size being 88 to 93. My size is 87 so should have been okay. The elastic also had hardly any stretch compared to my existing.
Asked to get a refund but had to pay for postage and a restocking fee. They talked me into trying their cotton boxer shorts in XL. They came in the mail adding an extra $20 in freight there and back. These also ended up being way too small and their size was 101-106.
Asked to get a full refund with no freight and they replied with (I completely understand, im unable to help further unless your parcel is returned to our warehouse. If you change your mind here's a voucher for 2 free Boxer Shorts for next time)
As I informed them I would add 1 star reviews if they did not refund me in full, they googled me in linked in and added my company in the email (Hi Wayne / xxxx Plumbing). Unbelievable

Great Mens Underwear, i purchased first around 2 years ago and they're still going strong. I recently also got me wife hooked on these after buying 10-12 pairs. She says they are just divine, her exact words! You got a customer in us for life.

Their underwear is NOT made in…

Their underwear is NOT made in Australia. Their website lead me to believe that they were. So I am not at all happy. The packaging was excessive, obviously because they came from China. They may be an Australian company but just selling overseas goods... same as anyone else.

Christine Bryant, Greetings!

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.

We are an Australian owned company, and we are transparent about this throughout our website. Our products are made using Australian grown cotton, and like the vast majority of apparel brands globally, manufacturing takes place offshore.

We currently manufacture in Colombia, Thailand, India, Bangladesh and China. This allows us to maintain quality standards while keeping pricing accessible for customers.

We also employ 19 Australians in our Sydney warehouse operations, and all profits remain in Australia. Supporting Australian cotton farmers and local jobs is extremely important to us.

Regarding packaging, all online orders require protective shipping materials, whether dispatched locally or internationally. We continue to review ways to improve sustainability across our packaging.

We appreciate you sharing your perspective.

Best Regards,
Clinton

Happy chappy.....

I have been buying Frank and Beans Underwear for both my husband and myself for some time. However, recently they were out of stock of the normal items he wears, so he bought some different style which was the Boxer Brief XY Edition. He's not a bloke who comments much on underwear but he told me three times that they were the most comfortable jocks he's ever worn.
Always been happy with the prices (usually buy when sales are on) and the delivery is very prompt.

Very Happy Chappy

I ordered from their Ebay store for my partner and me being a male I got the size wrong. I immediately contacted them for a size change. They got back to me straight away changed the size on my order and I received the garments a few days later. They look great, “is” fabric, style and really good value for money. My partner is very happy and so am I.
The level or communication was second to none and so was the service unlike other Ebay stores I’ve dealt with in the past.
I fully recommend their store and their products.

FIRST & LAST PURCHASE, every lie under the sun to avoid refund. Terrible quality not worth $2

horrible quality, having problems currently trying to return items, even though they claim they have a simple return policy. Never again will i deal with this company, overpriced junk. Briefs looks like g-strings by the way.

Sent photos of garments to them, stitching loose, damaged seam. telling me unable to see damage in photos and that they will repair or replace. said i want a refund as i'm not convinced of the quality waiting for a response. I know what it will be, unfortunately we can only repair/replace blah blah.

Gave me the response I expected, realised I paid via PayPal, opened a dispute. Now things will get sorted :)
