Time for action

Quite obviously writing a scathing review of Freeview on here is having no effect whatsoever. They don't even reply in an attempt to justify their rubbish service, as long as your prepared to moan about it on a site they probably don't even visit your voices WON'T be heard.
That's why a couple of days after posting my last post on here I sent off an E mail to the makers of "Rip off Britain" on the B.B.C. in hopes they will look into why thousands and thousands of THEIR viewers are being ripped off, but I can't do it alone.
Those about to post and those already posted on here send a copy of your post via E mail to Rip off Britain and if they get a "sack full" of complaints even they MUST act.
Overrun Rip off Britain's with E mails and between us all we just might get something done,

Remember the old saying:-
"Evil triumphs when good men do nothing"

I'm sure that they are breaking the law…

I'm sure that they are breaking the law with false statements, how is freeview, free, you are forced by the BBC to buy a licence to watch any program on "free" view. It's not free. You can see why online companies are winning the masses over. Should be called notfreeview!!! P.S. channel 4 - not everyone loves Raymond....

Shysters, Thieves and Liars

The owners of this appalling network must be laughing all the way to the bank! To paraphrase a certain famous person, "Never, in the field of so-called entertainment, have so many been cheated and lied to by so few for so long!" What a load of utter trash TV!"

TOO MANY multiple repeats of programs (?) that were rubbish to start with and haven't improved with age.

TOO MANY so-called "classic" repeats of ancient soaps that were crap the first time of showing and haven't improved since.

TOO MANY re-runs of American crap programmes that were pathetic the first time of showing and haven't improved since, despite being repeated so many times a computer would be struggling to count the numbers.
Why Freeview would think that American so-called humour is funny is beyond me, American humour is infantile, pathetic and certainly not funny!

TOO MANY commercial breaks, each lasting far too long and containing far too many commercials. It is now approaching the point where the commercial breaks last longer than the actual programmes! (Although this is perhaps not such a bad idea).

Finally, TOO MUCH money, the fact that I am forced to pay £157 a year to watch this boring crap is adding insult to injury!

Signal is always terrible in Worthing

Signal is always terrible in Worthing, West Sussex. Barely any channels and constantly losing channels. Constantly trying to return without success. Barely worth paying for a license as I can not make sure of it. Why is it so bad, this is 2022!!!!

Repeats of repeats of absolute rubbish

Repeats, repeats of repeats, war, more war, "reality," none-too-clever quiz (guessing) shows, darts, ever ready glorification of the US Cavalry's genocidal destruction of Native Americans, sport, more sport, petrol fumes and grease monkeys and chains of unremitting rubbish... oh and adverts for rubbish every few minutes... There have been BRILLIANT programmes in the past : one thinks of The Ascent of Man or Sagan's Cosmos or anything requiring a modicum of brain power. Even BBC4 has been subjected to the process of "dumbing down." BTW as I understand it the broadcasting act is framed in such a way that there is no 'right' to actually receive broadcasts ~ I too live in a fringe area ~ which is probably a good thing.

TV is RUBBISH in the UK

TV is RUBBISH in the UK, repeat films, animations, commercials, distasteful ads at dinner time, etc. etc... it's a machine with no gesture or meaning, just pumping rubbish reruns and distasteful content CH 4 one of the worst. I stopped watching TV long ago, but for the rest of the family, I feel sorry they have to put up with this. There is no quality, no excitement. The word FREE in VIEW clearly means no value.

Why Oh Why has Freeview removed & changed so many channels? Absolute garbage now! Not even worth the time taken to scroll through the TV guide. Thank goodness for BBCi, Channel 4 etc & Netflix! Freeview take note you’re losing customers en-mass!

The death of digital tv

The death of digital tv. The channels available are absolutely rubbish. Constant repeats of game shows, drama and movies. All adverts are timed to show at the same time so there is no point in switching channels, you may as well turn the tv off. It's a waste of time and money. Pull the plug.

We are now fully aware that FREEVIEW is…

We are now fully aware that FREEVIEW is a complete FAILURE. In an attempt to regain the possibility that some channels might be viewed.I spent more money on technology ( add on’s ). Waste of time and money. Even though I am now recording a strong signal on many channels, interference is relentless. Including BBC ?
Apparently if you retune every day, you might succeed in receiving six watchable channels.

More re-tunes than a dodgy guitar

Absolutely fed up having to re-tune and then go hunting for the channels I used to watch. Analogue was tuned in once and that was it for life. Also the signals on some channels are full of pixels after a couple of minutes. Nothing to do with aerial as has been set spot on with a meter.

Thanks Freeview. You've forced me into a retune as all the channels showing on different numbers and now I've lost Talking Pictures, my favourite go-to channel!

What year is it?

I want to watch freeview from time to time but i do not own a new TV, and have never owned a freeview box, or an aerial. I dont really want to with all the adverts and having to buy a box and go on my roof.

I can use the Freeview app, but a lot of channels are missing, and i dont have a TV i can cast to.

I already have a console and a PC conected to a big monitor rather than a TV for low latency gaming. Monitors cost similar and suit me better, but unfortunately no tv tuner.

I dont have a problem watching 98% of what i want to watch with it all being available online, i cant be the only one in this situation.

I think freeview could be missing out on a large amount of viewers; the same or better experience could be provided online.

Ukraine -this morning trying to catch…

Ukraine -this morning trying to catch up on Ukraine news and came across RT News. Stunned, I was basically watching state sponsored Russian TV giving a totally biased view on why they 'had' to invade the Ukraine. Watching it was like watching FOX News !! Why on earth are Freeview allowing this ?? Over in Russia do you think they are allowing the BBC and ITV to be transmitted ? Disgusted !

Digital be damned

Why are you providing a "service" which by your own admission is affected by atmospheric conditions? It never happened with VHF/UHF transmissions yet we were forced into the "digital age" with a system that is worse than before. Presumably you lied to HM Government about the level of service you would provide, I am writing to OFCOM on this matter.

Almost 2022 yet we still can’t have a reliable tv signal!

Still useless rubbish, if there a cloud, a drop of rain, a slight wind and even a motorcycle go past… that’s it no signal and sometimes all day. I find it quite ridiculous that the world is so advanced in almost every way, yet here we are approaching 2022! Yet still can’t even have reliable tv even on basic channels 1-5. How is this acceptable? Ok Freeview’s argument would probably be “well it’s free bla bla bla”, No it bloody isn’t! we pay a licence to watch (or try at least). It’s the same old useless crap that it’s been from the start, no improvements are ever made or even considered! There’s not many decent tv programs anyway but when there is something that’s interesting for the first time in a while, what a surprise we can never have a reliable signal to watch it. Freeview has to be the worst service that’s ever existed, at least with analog we could move an aerial to help with signal.
