Missing one of my items

My order arrived however one of my items ordered not delivered, when I contacted the company was told it was their mistake and I would receive a refund for the missing product. There was no option to have my product re-delivered which is what I wanted. Customer service basic.
I have ordered before with no issues seems there is an ongoing theme here first deliveries good then everything goes the other way lure you in then they don’t care.

Will not be ordering from this company ever again, stay clear.

The steaks I order were all very thin…

The steaks I order were all very thin very small that was sirloin and lamb steaks. Have tried to resolve it sent photos of the steaks. But no real response. Won't be recommending or ordering anything from this company again Mr Keith Arkless

£140 quid down the drain!

received my first order £140 1kg middle fillet 5kg sirloin ready for carving into stakes. arrived well packaged with ice packs. spent an hour carving into steaks bagging for freezer. Had our first try last night. I can only discribe it as terrible flavour and tough as leather. covered in silverskin and no fat like sirloin usually has.
Obviously poor quality beef. thats it now you get what you pay for. no more cheap market meat for me . I won't be a returning customer.

The first few order were great

The first few order were great , then it went down hill rapidly. My last order of £200 steak, was full of gristle and they obviously were aware as it had be cut .
Right now, I have 100s of pounds of meat that I don’t really want to eat .
Low quality junk .
I would of been far better to go to Aldi

I would NOT recommend this company

I would NOT recommend this company. I have updated my review so it’s more detailed. My husband set up a 4 weekly subscription for the random meat pack to start on 22/1/2024 as a way to make life easier for ourselves whilst I’m pregnant. He knew I like supporting small businesses as we support alot of local small businesses already. We received the first box ok and the quality of the meat seemed ok however, a week later (29/1/2024) we received notification that a second box was on its way to us. We tried to get in touch with Fresh Meat Packs and sent an email on 29th January stating that our subscription was every 4 weeks and got no reply. The company later confirmed by email that our email had gone in to their junk inbox. We emailed again (pm) on 31/1/2024 stating we are cancelling future orders, great meat but incorrect delivery frequency and non-existent customer service which the company didn’t agree with the customer service complaint as they thought they’d only received the 31st Jan email. This delivery messed up our weekly budget, we had no room in our freezers and there was no telephone numbers to contact the company directly which added to our frustrations and disappointment with this firm.
We were hoping the company would return the meat pack as we had little room for it. We actually said in our email that we weren’t asking for money back as my husband runs a small business himself (non meat related) so understands the tight profit margins however they then offered the 50% off for the inconvenience of this wrongly sent second meat box, which my husband accepted. We then confirmed on 1st a February we would like to cancel future orders for the time being as had so much meat it would last us months. There was no mention from the company that we’d need to cancel via an online portal etc and we assumed contacting customer service to cancel the order and cancelling our bank card was suffice. At no point we were advised of any other process to follow. I’m not sure whether we got a reply to that email even. On 27/2/2024 the monthly subscription charge was again taken from our banks so my husband emailed the company again at 15.34 stating we’d cancelled any future orders on 1st Feb so why were we being charged and made it clear we didn’t want any further meat orders. We got a reply from the company (Alex) that evening at 20.22 stating that he couldn’t understand why the money had been taken out of our account as the subscription was marked as cancelled. He said he needed to speak to their website company Shopify they use for the subscription software to get further confirmation it had been cancelled. Apparently it was a misunderstanding and we needed to cancel the subscription via an online portal but they had now cancelled the subscription and issued a refund. The refund can apparently take up to 10 days. I was frustrated and annoyed by this process, lack of telephone number for the company, delayed email response to our email on 29/1/2024 and to the unclear cancellation process etc and inconvenience caused and stress. I asked why the cancellation hadn’t been processed in a timely manner on 1/2/2024, which apparently showed on their system but not behind the scenes and we were then charged for no product. I felt their response to this was rude and defensive and felt attacked by there subsequent emails. I felt I was receiving poor customer service. I will leave it up to prospective customers how they find my review but I wanted to document our negative experience with this company.
I mentioned in my final email to the fresh meat company that I did not want any compensation from this company as life was too short to fight with a company of this nature. We expected a good service and felt they had failed at this. We’ve never really had any issue with other small businesses in the area and I rarely leave reviews but I was really annoyed with the responses I received from Jake at fresh meat packs and felt attacked. I did make an error in which I thought my husband had telephoned to cancel but he later clarified that you can’t contact this company by telephone and it was done by email.
I also found a second Trust pilot account of reviews for this fresh Meat pack company online that appeared to have a link to the same website as this trust pilot review accounts, so I can only assume it is for the same company, except there are rather more negative reviews on their, more similar to our experience with this company.
Personally I won’t be recommending this company to family and friends.

Poor customer service, they sent meat packs even when not ordered and took 27 days to cancel our account after our cancellation request, charging us after we’d cancelled (due to their inefficient service and incompetence) and took several days to sort out refund. Extremely poor company!

Just received my first order and wow…

Just received my first order and wow what incredible steaks 🥩 I’m on the carnivore diet and these are perfect nicely packed and sharp delivery shame DPD just dump it on your doorstep and don’t press the bell . Definitely ordering again

Order didn't arrive, ruined NY eve

Ordered meat on the 28th October, for delivery on the 30th Dec. Order didn't arrive, had NY guests coming, had to make alternative arrangements!! Was fobbed off by customer service " computer glitch" shouldn't have let me choose that day! Ruined my NY. Was told there would be some complimentary items. I received 2 Sirloin Steaks!!! 6 kilos of chicken " strips" I ordered, where just small bits of off cuts. Whole Piece of Rump was just 2 flat slabs. This was my 3rd order. Won't be ordering again.

Was surprised to see the pigs in blankets had use by dates of 24/12 Company response was to freeze them
If I wanted frozen meat I would have bought elsewhere
Will now use my local butcher even if costs more

I have bought from this company several…

I have bought from this company several times from the market but this time I decided to use their delivery service. It arrived on time as expected and was packaged well with ice packs. The meat is top quality and good value. I chose the just lamb pack which was lovely very tender and good size chops. I will definitely be using again and delivery is cheaper than parking/petrol so its an all round winner.

I received my meat pack today

I received my meat pack today, everything went fine was delivered when they said etc. I opened the pack and 2 packs were drumsticks which I wasn't aware of when purchased as didn't say, the chicken had to be cut to take away all the "icky" bits.

Amazing quality and great value

Amazing quality and always great value for money! The marinated meat is amazing, always packed with so much flavour! Highly recommended I have been using them monthly for over a year and not once been disappointed Thank u Fresh meat packs for such great products!

Avoid this company at all costs

Spent over 200 pounds with this company as a first time order. loads of items missing, definitely not worth the money and no response from their customer service and not packaged very well, the meat was barely chilled. Avoid avoid avoid.!!!

5 Star Service

I have bought these meat packs on quite a few occasions now even been to Bury market to buy from them. I had a payment problem when I ordered my last pack a couple of days ago, I contacted them on Messenger and even tho it was 8pm at night they still sorted it out for me. Thank you. And I must say the Sirloin steak and Ribeye steak is beautiful, in fact all the meat is lovely.

Good meat, good service

I have been getting my meat from this company for a while now and it is good quality meat. Some great deals and meat packs to choose from. Deliverys have always arrived on time and nicely packed. I once had an issue with a bag of chicken not sealed properly so I got in contact with them and the customer service was good. They apologized and sent out free meat and also changed the way they package the meat to prevent it happening again and I have not had the problem since. Will be ordering again. Highly recommended.

Freshmeat Company should be called…

Freshmeat Company should be called Terriblemeat Company .

I ordered 2 whole beef fillet joints they were half price . Quality was terrible they were tough chewy and waste of money .Meat only fit for stewing . They answered initial email and said they would replace order then they did nothing . I called both listed numbers they never answer the phone and they never answered any more of my emails . Total waste of money stay far away from this appalling company .

Don't bother

Bad quality bad customer service don't bother sent wrong meat said they would replace on next order next order phoned and said not got some items but will replace sent the smallest piece of lamb I have ever seen still never replaced original order just give up will not be using again as the rest off the order very poor quality
