Snowflake Toyota

I bought a new Toyota Corolla gr sport everything went well enough and the salesman George was great but I had the car 2 days and I noticed water getting in on the right side of the boot running down to where the battery is (This is a brand new car) I phoned my local Toyota dealer and they said I had to take were I bought it as it was a new car, I explained I bought the car in Cardiff and I stay in Scotland but they insisted I had to contact Cardiff and to be fair the manager there got that sorted, I don’t understand why when you contact Toyota for warranty work they ask you where you bought the car? The problem is very bad and a lot of water is somehow getting in, I was told I would need to pay £12 per day for a replacement car which I think is wrong as the car is new and Toyota should cover the cost so I contacted Toyota UK and after a few emails they said there is nothing they could do so my last email was a bit over the top as this has caused me a lot of stress but I did apologise, now my local dealer said they are unwilling to carry out the work, now I have a new Toyota Corolla which I spent a lot of money on with water getting in every time it rains and frf Toyota Cardiff don’t really seem to care, I thought Toyota was a good reliable brand but once they have your money they don’t care and they are snowflakes over emails
MY ADVICE IS STAY AWAY

Beware if you buy a car from Toyota Bridgend and leave a deposit and then change your mind about the car you it will take about a week to the deposit back .

The staff are very unprofessional, Toyota should send them on a course on public relations.

Car was booked in for a service and MOT, I was handed back the paperwork noticed no MOT certificate, so asked where it was, they had forgotten to MOT it, I could easily have been driving around without a valid MOT.
A few days later the oil management light came on, when I rang them they said don't worry, we forgot to reset it, it won't take long to reset it, that's not really the point is it, it's time I don't want to spend when it should have been done, I certainly will not be going there for ongoing servicing

i recently took my car to frf toyota swansea for a service and fix the headlight that wasn’t working. i told them that i had put a new bulb in but still not working. when i picked up the car they charged £38.80 plus VAT for a new bulb but still not working.but i told them it wasn’t a bulb. so what a rip off. i won’t be going back.

Awful dealership

We have had a very bad experience with FRF (admittedly their Carmarthen branch, but Bridgend are apparently the only one of the four branches who dare to put themselves on Trustpilot. I can't imagine why ...?)

My review of Toyota GB and FRF (Carmarthen) should be going live very soon ....

Toyota FRF bridgend review, via buy on line

Decided to purchase a new Yaris on line with Toyota via the buy on line process and the designated dealership at FRF in Bridgend.
The online process was started successfully on April 15th, then as the vehicle was delivered to the dealership the problems began.
The sales rep made every appointment and discussion as difficult and distasteful as possible.
This culminated in an appointment for May 29th to collect the vehicle from the dealership.
We had an appointment confirmed via email from the Toyota buy on line team
i had even informed the Toyota buy on line team, this dealership would create problems at the handover on the Wednesday prior to collection.

We were in possesion of the log book, the car was taxed, but FRF refused to release the vehicle.
Update
It appears the Toyota buy on line team did not release the vehicle on line and i understand why FRF could not release the vehicle.
This could have been easily rectified by James though if he had rung Toyota on the friday to check all was in order.
The car was successfully delivered today with Ian and David faciliting the purchase and what a difference in attitude.
