Information provided by various external sources

Funding Empire is Wales' first Crowdfunding platform. It was developed to combat the problem businesses face in getting funding from banks whilst also trying to provide lenders with a better return than they currently get on their money in a savings account. Our team, with substantial advice taken from JMW Solicitors who are a leading law firm in the Crowdfunding sector, developed a model to combat these problems and Funding Empire was conceived. With our passion and knowledge of small businesses, together with our strong management team, we aim to make funding available to creditworthy businesses in the UK, delivering sustainable returns for our lenders.

Funding by Empire is SO unprofessional

Funding by Empire is SO unprofessional!!! They contacted us, offered us a bid on our property and we accepted. We signed a contract, at first they were contacting us and if we had questions we were able to contact them. One week in they started ghosting us. They wouldn't answer any of our text messages nor any of our phone calls. We had to wait a whole month so the contract could expire before we could move forward! This cost us time and money!!! BEWARE WITH DOING BUSINESS WITH THEM!!!

Empire SettlEmpire Settlement Funding is a Complete Scam – Kristy Joseph is a Fraudement Funding

Empire Settlement Funding, run by the disgraceful Kristy Joseph, is nothing more than a predatory scam designed to exploit people in need. She operates with zero professionalism, refusing to answer calls, dodging clients, and intentionally delaying the release of funds with excuse after excuse. When confronted, she doesn’t resolve issues—she simply blocks customers, a clear sign of a dishonest and fraudulent operation.

This is not just negligence; it’s deliberate financial misconduct. Kristy Joseph has built a business model based on deception, withholding money that rightfully belongs to clients while profiting from their desperation. Her actions are fraudulent, unethical, and potentially illegal.

If you are considering doing business with Empire Settlement Funding, RUN. Do not fall victim to this scam. Report her, warn others, and seek legal action if necessary—because people like her should not be allowed to continue preying on unsuspecting clients.

Chad Rothrock is a liar

Chad Rothrock is a liar. He told me he was going to pay a certain price, we had a written contract signed by both parties and then he backed out. Don't waste your time listening to him.

SCAM

SCAM - SCAM - SCAM - SCAM - SCAM - SCAM
This company and it's associates are a SCAM! We had a contract on our home and the consultant, Chad Ruthroth and the owner, David SINCE March 4, 2024...insisted on us accepting their offer that day...and we did. We agreed upon the price and they assured us weekly that we would get the deal done...we trusted Chad and took him at his word, even when he tried to lower his offer, we were assured by him that "We will continue moving forward at the $xxx price" (the price we agreed upon). We were in constant contact with him and when he asked a second time if we would go to a lower price than our contract stated...we said we have come as low as we can and even questioned if they were going to back out of the deal and Chad and David assured us that they weren't backing out. WELL GUESS WHAT, TODAY THEY BACKED OUT!

They never once gave a contingency on the offer, they constantly assured us that they would honor our contract. Because of their appearance of honesty, we put money down on a house being built...we told Chad about this with their assurance of a completed deal. Now we are devastated...

Apparently, Integrity; Honesty; Candid communication and Trust are not what this company aspires to.

By the way...they have not made any efforts to give the Earnest Money back either...

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE!!

Funding by Empire is a scam

Funding by Empire is a scam, they signed a purchase agreement to buy my house, if not, I can keep the Ernest money, they did not honor the contract and did not give me the Ernest money. They held my house for two months during that period I declined 3 rental offers. They are professional scamers.

Outstanding experience

I have been lending with Funding Empire since they launched around a year ago. I am making around 14% and have yet to experience any late payments or defaults.

I have made contact with them several times through the year and have been extremely impressed with the customer service I have received. I also spoke with them recently about their deal flow and was told that they would be launching a new asset backed model imminently which would provide a larger number of loans for investors to participate in. Looking at their site today, I notice they now mention this new asset backed model which I am eager to get involved in once they start listing these new loans.

I have introduced around 5 other friends and family members to the platform and all have had an excellent experience to date, long may it continue!

Easy to use, good deals, friendly and accessible staff

Funding Empire have one of the easiest to use sites among p2p lenders, and the deals they've listed so far have been, in my opinion, high quality with good rates for investors. I've spoken several times with the team running the site and I've been very impressed by their openness, accessibility and professionalism. Personal contact is for me an important part of gaining trust in the p2p space and the Funding Empire team have given me plenty of confidence in their operation.

Funding Empire - tipping the scales in favour of new businesses

Choice is subject to knowledge and with funding for small and new businesses becoming harder and harder to achieve, Funding Empire delivers for both sides (borrowers and lenders). Increasing competition and choice compared to high street banks and traditional financing methods. Funding Empire helps businesses that are struggling to access finance, whilst providing lenders with a better return on their investment. The perfect coupling and an impressive start for such a young company.

A winding-down player in the peer-to peer lending market.

Funding Empire has been an excellent investment platform for me, unique in that not one of their loans has ever defaulted. However, it now appears to be winding down, no new investments are available, so there is no point now in investing here.

Simple, Easy to Understand, Great Customer Service

Being new to this type of investment I found the site easy to use and understand. The few queries I have had have been answered very quickly and with enough detail to let me continue with my initial investments.

A few more deals on the platform would be beneficial going forward.

In need of more Borrowers.

Funding Empire has a site which is straightforward and is good at supplying basic information. It doesn't supply more in-depth information visually, as per Funding Knight.
The number of Borrowers so far has been limited, although a new one has been approved recently. Also the Borrowers are all at the higher risk end, or are new businesses with little financial history.
I would prefer a wider choice of available Borrowers so as to spread the risk of default.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us your review, very much appreciated.

We are constantly updating the 'Lender Dashboard' with new functionality and information. If you have anything in particular you would like to see added, please drop me an email at info@fundingempire.com and I will get it looked at.

Only 2 of our loans so far have been to businesses trading for less than 2 years; the rest have been to long established businesses with one being secured with a first charge on property. Our current loan statistics can be found at: https://www.fundingempire.com/business-loans/loan-statistics

The launch of our new asset backed model shortly, will address the deal flow issue raised. It will provide our lenders with a larger number and greater flow of deals which will all be secured by tangible assets which will in turn help spread the risk of default for lenders.

Kind Regards,

Jon

Easy to use

The platform is simple to use with a wealth of information on your "Home" page. Unfortunately the flow of loans is slow but they are all performing well with no problems to date. There is a secondary market but sellers are looking for an average 3% premium and this appears to deter buyers. Rates are generally good, however the loans are not asset secured making them a bit riskier than others. Issues are quickly resolved by the "team".

Lender feedback over the past few months has mirrored your comments hence why we are rolling out our new model and also reviewing the ability for lenders to sell their loan parts on the secondary loan market at a premium.

Top Class Service

Although the crowdfunding/P2P market is still fairly new to many it's good to deal with a business that is transparent in what it does and provides first class service. I would recommend Funding Empire to anyone looking to enter the crowdfunding world.
