Great Desk - must improve customer service

The desk is great. Customer service is non existent and we actually started to wonder if the company still existed.

We had an issue with the controlbox and it looked like we were going to have bin a desk which is less than 3 years old because no answered the phone, no one responded to chat and emails went unanswered. You cannot buy spares for the desk anywhere. Finally they responded and all resolved but the whole experience was not easy. This review was adjusted to reflect its final resolution but seriously could be a great company with better customer service

Panicked but issue resolved!

My main issue is with their customer service.

I purchased the E2 desk back in 2017. It's been working fine until just a couple of days ago. The control box stopped work and that basically mean the desk can't move up and down at all and I'm stuck in the standing position.

The desk comes with a 5-year warranty, however, the issue that there's no body to contact when you need it.

Online Chat - nope, unavailable
Twitter - nope, no activity for month.
Telephone - nope, direct to voice mail
Online form - sent, no response
Email - sent, no respnse

This is my last resort to contact them for a solution!! Hopefully they are still in business and care about their reviews!!!

========== Update on 17 April 2021 ===========

Furna responded to my email on Monday 12 April 2021 and agreed to send me a new frame for the desk (the old frame is no longer in production). The frame itself is free but I had to pay £49 for the next day delivery, given that my old desk is too old to be under warranty.

I received the frame the next day after the payment was made and got the desk up and running again on Friday.

Overall, I'm very happy with how this is resolved in the end in a timely manner. Even though the new frame won't get the same 5-year warranty as a new purchase, Will, from Furna, assured me that Furna will alway try to resolve the issue for custom, even in the most uncommon cases. Changing from * to 5*.

I also suggested that Furna should improve their communication on their website as well as on their social media accounts.

Problem after problem after problem, but desk is good

EDIT: Original review below, I have upped the score from 1 to 3 as the issues I faced have been resolved and so far the desk is proving to be very good.

Wanted a nice new desk and decided to go for a sit stand. Furna looked liked a good option, appeared to have good reviews and answered my questions online very quickly.

The website claims fast delivery, at the time of inquiry I was warned there was a stock issue and it'd take a week before it would arrive. No problem, happy to wait a week and it coincided with me being on leave.

Didn't get anything from them about delivery so I contacted them and found out it would be another week. The didn't think to keep me informed about this delay, not ideal but OK, it is around Christmas.

Waited another week and it finally arrived...very badly damaged!

Contacted Furna, "very sorry, we can swap it or you can keep it for a £50 refund". I chose to swap, I wanted a nice new desk, not a broken one.

Today should've been the day a replacement top arrived and the broken top was collected. Instead today is the day the broken top wasn't collected, and a replacement desk top in a smaller size arrived.

It's hard to get hold of staff, when you do get an answer they don't actually get the problem resolved. It might look like a good idea but stay away from Furna.

Reply from Furna Desks

Hi Mark, Apologies again for the problems around delivery damage and replacement inaccuracy. Leading into Christmas/New Year we had multiple issues with the warehousing and logistics providers for Furna and our communication certainly should've been better during that time. I'm glad to note the issue was resolved in the end and hope that you're happy with the quality of our product after some use.
