Hi Stephen,
I'm sorry you were unhappy with your Leather Prep. It is an acetone based deglazer, which is designed to remove existing leather finish, not strip out all the colour, and unfortunately, being acetone it does have a strong smell.

Cleans the leather quite well
This product is great for removing what it says, great stuff.
Easy to use and did the job
Fabulous products! I wasn’t sure what I needed to repair two sofa cushions that had endured some extreme wear and tear. I reached out to customer services and Tammy gave me a detailed list of exactly what I needed with links to instruction videos. All I had to do was send off a sample or colour matching to my sofa. Superb products and superb customer service!

Does the job love the smell
Have been using your products for some 10 years on our 3 seater settee and two armchairs. They still look like new but are actually over 20 years old.
It removes the old colour leaving the surface ready for renewal and it works well.
The first stage in my driver seat renovation. Four more stages to complete the renovation, all products supplied by furniture clinic. Perfect result after following the detailed instructions. The vehicle is a 2006 BMW. All surfaces needed attention.
Easy to use with the scourer pads that I also bought. Prepared the old leather seat well for using the reconditioning balm.
Everything was great from the service to the products.

It does a very good job and makes a very good surface to paint Very strong smell but works!!!
The top coat says to spray on but not to let it run... This is not possible as any type of spray for this product runs straight away. Sponge application is difficult as it begins to stiffen and come off during application. I used on a sofa which personally I do not recommend as it began to crack and peel within 2 weeks. The dye needs prep applied filler and primer to colour correctly leaves dark patches dark
