I helped a friend of mine buy a Ford Puma from Furrows Telford after recommending them due to my previous positive experience. I went back to the same salesperson, David Holt, and we again had a hassl... See more

Despite the fact that my wife and I are in our 60s and despite the fact that we have bought a car from Furrows Shrewsbury in the past and despite the fact that we have test driven cars at Furrows in the past, they refused to let us test drive their demo Puma, unless we were accompanied on the test drive by one of their salesmen, at all times. They said it is their policy, due to 'customer abuse' of cars on test drives, which is a pretty insulting thing to hear when you are the potential customer!
I don't want a salesman breathing down my neck when I'm test driving a car and neither, I suspect, do other people, because other car dealerships in Shrewsbury DON'T have the same policy as Furrows.
Just to reiterate that point - in our search to buy 2 new cars, we visited a total of 9 dealers in Shrewsbury, representing all the major brands, including Audi, BMW, Renault, Peugeot, Ford Toyota, Nissan, Mini, and VW. ALL of them except Furrows allowed us to take a car out on a test drive unaccompanied. ALL of them Furrows, so you are completely alone in having such a restrictive, inflexible policy.
At the Toyota garage we test drove 3 of their cars and at the Nissan garage, we test drove 2 of their cars. All the test drives were totally unaccompanied, so we were able to take our time making a decision, with no external pressure.
As a result, we bought a Yaris and a Juke. Two £25K sales that possibly could have gone to Furrows, but for their ridiculous, outdated, unfriendly test drive policy.

Shockingly bad service, to the point I will never buy another brand this company represents again. My vehicle was recovered in to them over a month ago and they have still not looked at it, not contacted me once to update me, I always have to chase them, and when I do I am met with rude arrogant staff. I am appalled this company is still in business.

Had a problem with my car which was out of the 3 month warranty but within consumer protection act. Phoned the garage who wanted to see it. Took it there and received first class service. No quibbles whatsoever. They fixed it with 24 hours. Everyone was so helpful. Thank you again Furrows, another fantastic experience
I didnt get the colour i ordered.
Satnav maps not up to date. My previous CX30 had my home post code live - the new car doesnt
I have a 2010 Focus that was serviced at Furrows Shrewsbury on a service plan until the year before last when I finally had enough of the poor service and money grabbing tactics and voted with my feet. I have just experienced a squeak on the front wheel and took it to an independent garage, who told me how shocked he was that my brakes were in such poor condition and asked me who had been servicing and doing MOT because they clearly hadn’t checked the brakes at all. The trip cost me over £700 as everything needed replacing including the handbrake, which barely worked at all. We then had a chat about the timing belt, which I told him I had never heard of and he was once again shocked because this should have been changed 3 years ago. Nobody ever mentioned this to me and the implications of that giving up would be catastrophic. Honestly I cannot believe they, and subsequently another independent garage, have not picked these things up. I now tell everyone not to deal with Furrows, which could’ve been avoided with just a small amount of customer care.
James Pettener at Telford Branch needs a massive pat on the back for the service we received.
From start to finish on our purchase James was impressive on his approach in giving us the ultimate 5 star service.
During the whole process we could not have asked for more..
It’s a 10/10 from me ..Thank you James
Excellent service. My vehicle collected and returned at the times and date requested. First class service and MOT nothing but compliments to Furrows Telford TF12FF
Had my skoda octavia IV for 6 monrhs before I started getting faults with sos system ,driving assist plus one of the headlights decided not to work properly being stuck in one position.
I took the car to furrows oswestry 4 times for the faults to be sorted I was told each time it was repaired but as soon as I drove down the road the faults came back.
So I decided to go to another skoda dealer mittchel skoda cheshire oaks and they diagnosed all the faults and fixed them on the first visit.
Furrows techs are not trained properly or can't be bothered diagnosing problems properly.
Very poor aftercare service. My Mazda 3 has now let me down twice with a critical fault resulting in Total shut down of engine and when restarted by Roadside Assist, ABS shutdown whilst driving vehicle.
When I reported this to the staff their response was unremarkable. Basically they really did not care!!! “that we were stranded at the top of The Shropshire Hillsides with brakes failing on the way down!!!!! .
During my call to them the following morning to report this, I was astounded at the attitude of the team!! “so blasé and disinterested at what had happened and guess what!! No dates available to check fault for 2 weeks and no courtesy car 😱.
Due to this, Unsurprisingly I will not be renewing my contract with this company.
Purchase my Mazda 2 from Furrows in Shrewsbury we had a brilliant salesman called Ross he was very polite, nothing was too much trouble and his communication was amazing 👏👏👏
Bought a Ford Focus 1L roughly 3 months ago, error messages pop up - keeps braking when it shouldn’t - drinks petrol ( not excessively used in i any way) - electrics really do seem to be shot, took it in for a check up under its warranty…..well there’s nothing wrong with it (no surprise there then) talking to the service department really is like talking to an arrogant brick wall “well blokes have big feet and you’ve probably pushed down the accelerator and brake together which causes a message to pop up” “but it’s done it when I’m using cruise control and my feet aren’t on the pedals” “oh well it’ll do that”???? “You’ll only get 30mpg out of this, it’ll be you using the air con, windows etc” “I’m not using the air con” “oh well it’ll be the diagnostic fuel parameter patent valve - it’s normal” “oh ok that’s very helpful and clear” no help whatsoever. I’d be really interested to know if I took it in as a paying customer would they of found one or 10 problems that would require fixing and…….paying for???
Superb experience, staff are very helpful and effecient, the best dealer I have dealt with when buying a car.
Excellent product, excellent salesman, reasonable price. What more can I say, but "cheers Jonny".
Brian from Shrewsbury Furrows went above and beyond in his service to me when I purchased the new Kia Picanto. Highly recommend him as he is an asset to Furrows.
I had a battery changed in my key fob because my car wouldn't unlock, It would take 10 minutes or more. The assistant changed the battery but it was still the same. I had to leave it unlocked in the end. I took it back, they tested the battery, it was low voltage, they put another one in and it works perfect now. It cost me 10.00 and remiss of me, I didn't ask for a receipt or an invoice when I was given one. I'm glad this was just a battery and not a car!
