back massager

purchased a back massager, when the cover wore completely through, they informed me that they do not sell replacement covers, despite them being removable and very easily replaceable. For a company who claims to want to do good by the earth, a throw away product like this with no after sales support is terrible business.

Handweights Have Wrong Measures

Their handweights don't weigh anything close to what's advertised! I have two weights labeled "5." They each have a much different weight on my scale, not close to 5 pounds or 5 kilograms.

Yoga mat

After just a few months, the colored patterned part of the mat is coming off. After a workout the mat and floor around it are littered with little pieces of the mat that looks like confetti. The mat slides on the floor too. Absolute garbage.

Gaiam $75 yoga mats wear through in a few uses.

I bought a Gaiam yoga mat less than 2 months ago and have used it precisely 19 times, only in bare feet. The mat has worn completely through the top layer in places and is unusable. The website says that mats have a lifetime warranty, yet when I contacted the company about the issue, they offered a 20% discount on another mat because the holes in the mat surface resulted from "standard wear and tear." Gaiam seems to expect their $75 top-of-the-line mats to last only a few uses. Why on earth would I buy another poorly made mat? The customer service and product quality of this company are beyond awful. I have owned many other mats and have never had an issue like this.

Take your business where it is appreciated

I purchased a Muse headband sometime ago when I was first learning how to chant Nam-myoho-renge-kyo and I was concerned about my mind wandering. This product helped me gain confidence and I was ready to sell it and let someone else benefit as I have. I went to sell it on Amazon. I was informed that I needed permission from Gaiam which surprised me because I didn't even know they were affiliated. I got a response from Gaiam saying that they will not be granted me permission to sell the product that I purchased with MY money on Amazon! So it's like I bought it but it is not really mine to do with it what I will... They are just as rude as most of these reviews state so BEWARE!!!!

I'm finished with Gaiam

I purchased a meditation cushion and wanted to go to Gaiam directly rather than buy something on Amazon. I received an email that UPS delivered my cushion, but it hadn't shown up. I tried to call Gaiam, but their phone number said, in a very cheerful voice, that they no longer spoke to customers by phone and suggested that I email. I did that and got a template email in return. Each time I emailed, I received the same template email. I replied at the top as instructed and spoke my truth about my disappointment in their customer service. That was on Sunday. On Tuesday, I got a reply that surprised me. It seemed quite rude to be coming from someone in customer service. She basically told me that if I didn't like their template emails to quite writing to them repeatedly because it generate a new one each time. The next email (she must have calmed down after writing the first one) gave me options for a new cushion or a refund. I chose the refund and I did receive it, thankfully. However, I was informed in that first email that I must have called the wrong number and also that it was President's Day and they were closed and that it said so in the template email response. It did not - nor on the phone message. I am finished with any purchases directly from this company. I'll see what Amazon has.......

Read this review before purchasing a Gaiam Product are not suitable for more than a handfull of uses, which is wear and tear!!!

I had a d Gaiam yoga mat, which after a handful of uses started peeling. I spent additionally by purchasing a gaiam bag, and cared it as per their instructions. However upon contacting gaiam under their "lifetime guarantee" they have stated it is not a product defect and therefore not eligible for replacement. They are unwilling to confirm what they would deem as a number of uses a comsumer could expect to get out of their product. Before you spend your money on this company please do your research and read the 1star reviews across the range, and media forum. Please contact gaiam, to question what you are covered for, as it woudl seem not much.

We bought a yoga mat which slides while you work out, does not stick to the hardwood floor and leaves dent marks of your feet and wears it out in just first one or two tries.

They will accept the return but not the return postage.

We bought 2 items from them and only one arrived. They claim to have sent both. Another flaw in their product handling.

I'll never buy from them again.

Take your business somewhere else!!

This is my final correspondence with this company. Take your business elsewhere in my opinion.

"How unfortunate it is to see such a response from you! The service that I have received is the worst I’ve experienced in my whole life of doing business with companies. I have never been repeatedly blamed for something I know I did not do (i.e. overinflation, misuse of a product) by any company I have done business with. I wish you well with a customer service strategy that seems to have the purpose of making clients feel horrible by repeatedly questioning and blaming them based on what they are sharing with you.

I stand by my claim that the replacement ball you sent me is not the correct size for my chair and is definitely not overinflated. Although it may not mean anything to you, I will never do business with your company again, nor recommend you; and if I'm asked for my opinion, I will absolutely say "if you want to be treated poorly, go right ahead and engage with Gaiam, but if you're looking for respect and consideration take your business elsewhere".

My Best,
DH

No refunds or exchanges

There is no mention of this note at the time of check out. (Note: During this unprecedented time where safety and cleanliness is of the utmost importance, we are no longer accepting returns or exchanges on open shipped product, yoga mats or hand weights that have left the controlled environment of our warehouse).
After I read that I started thinking, What if I didn't like it or something was wrong with it. I tried to cancel within 10 minutes of placing the order, twice by email and once by phone. I will refuse the order but they will not refund the shipping cost. No communication.
Avoid the headaches and frustration
Amazon is the way to go.

Order never arrived

I ordered a Zafu and Zabuton meditation cushion kit, 3 weeks later I still hadn't received a shipping email. Trying to get in contact with costumer service was quite hard, but when they finally replied back they said my order was never fulfilled because the kit got out of stock, which I was never notified of. So here I am patiently waiting for 3 weeks not knowing I was not going to receive anything. I would have waited longer but I wanted my order to arrive by next week because I bought it to use at home for work, I start next week. This is my first time ever Ieaving a bad review, but I am very disappointed, not at the fact that it got out of stock, but at the fact that I wasn't told, otherwise I would have just look for other options but now its too late.

The yoga bag I purchased on the 28th of July never arrived from gaiam.innovations.com.au. No confirmation email. Have contacted their facebook, sales email, and info email. No reply back.

If this is not a scam I don't what this is. They took my money - but never send anything to me/ or even any email/ follow up. I will raise a consumer complaint. Shame on you!

My yoga mat never turned up

My yoga mat never turned up. And now I've read these reviews I realise it is a scam. How disappointing when it was such an investment into learning such a beautiful practice. How could people scam others like this.

So disappointed in this company

So disappointed in this company, please don't make the same mistake as me. As many have already stated, I wanted to use them directly instead of through Amazon and boy, was that a mistake.
They charged the full amount to my card, and the product hasn't arrived. Worse still, they don't answer any e-mails and have no phone number so I feel like I've been robbed to be perfectly honest. At least through Amazon I would probably have got my money back :(
