I ordered some flowers from Gail's Florist and wish I hadn't

I ordered some funeral flowers from Gail's Florist for a very close relative who passed away too young. The flowers were delivered the day before and not on the morning of the funeral. They changed the delivery date without telling us. The quality of the flower arrangement was in my opinion very poor and the flowers seemed washed out and stale. I ordered pink and cream posie however I received a posie with a few pink tulips, one pink rose and filled in with green looking lilies and for some reason a few red roses which obviously are not pink. I ordered pink and cream therefore I expected pink and cream flowers. The arrangement was supposed to be a uniformed shaped posie instead it was uneven in height and leggy with overhanging lillies and a large fern sticking out from one side. The arrangement was poorly put together and not what I would have expected. I am extremely disappointed, I spent time choosing the flower colour and style to reflect the lady these flowers were intended for and in no way did the flowers I received reflect the image in the picture advertised. I will not buy from them again. I've always had beautiful flowers from other florists. Usually you can tell if the flowers are good quality because they don't wilt so soon even when outdoors. I would advise that if you are looking for beautiful flowers to go elsewhere because these flowers were anything but. Wish I could post a photo of the monstrosity that was meant to be a funeral tribute however I am unable to do that on this site. I will return to my usual florist next time. They really need to put the customer first. I'll be voting with my feet.

Absolutely disgraceful customer service

Absolutely Disgraceful customer service.
The florist sent the flowers the day before the requested, contracted, delivery date without informing those who ordered the flowers of this change. This was one of the factors that caused confusion and the flowers being sent to the wrong funeral the day before the funeral they were purchased for.
Yes, the funeral home also has the responsibility to check which funeral they're sending the flowers to, but, the florist must adhere to the contract between themselves and the customer, which involves the delivery date.
When contacted, and asked why we were not informed of this change of delivery date, so we could inform the funeral director to make sure they go to the correct funeral, the response was one of emotion and hystericalism.
Not even an apology.
This is a breach of the Consumer Rights Act 2015. And should be subject to a full refund, as the contracted goods did not arrive on the contracted date.

CONSUMER RIGHTS ACT 2015 states.
LATE DELIVERIES.
If the retailer fails to deliver within the 30 days, OR ON THE DATE THAT HAS BEEN AGREED, you can do the following:

If your delivery is later than agreed and it was essential that it was delivered on time, then you have the right to terminate the purchase and get a full refund.

The flowers ordered were also not the same colour, or flowers. as the flowers delivered. The pose was supposed to be one of autumn colours but instead it was similar in colour to one you would give on Valentines day. I did not mention this to the florist as I could not handle listening to more emotionally charged replies.

Avoid

I ordered flowers to be sent to my sister for the anniversary of our mums death. Unfortunately, I am left feeling sad and disappointed. The flowers which I ordered are not the same as the flowers she received.

Before writing this I called the shop to see if a mistake had been made and the wrong flowers were delivered. I was told it was the right flowers and the same bunch. No apology. I will not order again, they are definitely not a large bunch, not worth the money I paid.

Avoid delivered wrong day!!

I called up 2 months before mother's Day and paid for flowers to ensure they would be delivered on the day. I even Facebook messaged a couple of days before to check all was still ok for mother's Day delivery. The day before I received a message back telling me yes all was still as planned. That same day I get a call that the flowers had been delivered the day before mother's Day!!! I called up and was rudely told we have someone off sick it's either people get them today or not at all. Messaged on Facebook messenger to explain my frustrations and that I had paid well in advance to ensure my delivery would be on the correct day, their words "I appreciate but we weren't expecting a driver to cancel for tomorrow.
Delivery is free and all I can do is apologise your unhappy". It's not about delivery being free it's the fact they have taken no responsibility and aren't even bothered. Avoid unless you want your flowers turning up on the wrong day and a rude attitude

Funeral flowers Buy elsewhere

I used this company for my father in laws funeral spending as a family over £450. The flowers were mediocre but the casket spray was awful. I ordered the summer Casket spray at 4 foot, blues, pinks, lilacs and purples inc delphiniums, gerberas, hydrangeas and alstroemerias. What I got was 3 foot of yellow cheap chrysanthemums (usually bought at a petrol station), some yellow roses and some blue irises, with 2 open white lilies at the top. Cheap and nasty.
I rang Gail, to express my disappointment, she wasn’t interested and when I asked why I had paid £165 for the 4 foot spray I was told the long grasses either end took it to 4 foot??? I really wish I could upload a photo of it. My own father had died 4 weeks earlier, we used Poppies in Liverpool. Same price for beautiful flowers.

Second time I have used Gails Florist

Second time I have used Gails Florist , the flowers are beautiful and very reasonably priced with free delivery . The Mother’s Day tall box display with the added bonus of Zoflora were “spectacular “ and just what my mum needed to cheer her up as she is self isolating. As was my sisters Birthday tall box display also with Zoflora, which was a well thought extra in the current time. Well done Gails Florist you made them both very happy
Thank you

Avoid like the plague!!!

On the day of my wedding, myself and my wife discover all of the flowers that we had chosen were not not infact what we chose, and was not even close. Luckily they did still look lovely but we're not what we asked for. We were going to not mention anything and let it slide as they were still nice, however, we woke up the next morning to find all of our flowers had been taken by the florist at 5.30am! They did not inform us of them taking our flowers, and we could only assume they gave us someone else's flowers and were reusing the ones they gave us to be used for another venue, hence them taking them at 5.30am. When ringing them, they would not answer and would only reply through messages. We were then told for the first time of us hearing that the fresh flowers that we purchased were supposedly hired and that we would have had the have paid more to keep them. This was never mentioned, and no contract of hire was supplied. No form of written contract was supplied in fact. Just a payment receipt. When asking for proof of the flowers being hired only, they said it was written in their diary, like that was some kind of legal document to them.

Avoid!!!

Avoid, avoid, avoid!! Unless you don't care about your flowers being taken back early hours the next morning and claiming that the fresh flowers you have purchased are actually hired. There will be no mention of them being hired, in fact you will be informed several times that you get to keep all of the flowers regardless of if you choose real or artificial flowers. You will not receive any contract of hire and will find your flowers disappeared the next morning from your venue, unaware of anything. So you won't be able to give any of your friends and family any flowers as a thank you gift. Your flowers will look nothing like you asked for, even if you give them a photograph of what you want but you will get quoted for that design, to be told the flowers you received were nicer ones than what you asked for. Matter of opinion, but I do agree they were still lovely, not that it was the point. If you don't mind your flowers looking completely different and paying for hired fresh flowers, then you will be fine with this company, otherwise avoid. They will also take other suppliers belongings too.
